Ow yeah! Seiko just redefined the Seiko Diver's watch, and with that put a whole bunch of other Diver's watches to shame. This is next level watchmaking right here. If you love the Marinemaster 300 but are looking for a 'better' version of that (already pretty great) watch - this is your fix. It's a stunner, in more ways than one.
The watch deservedly won the Diver's Watch award at the Grand Prix d'Horlogerie de Genève, beating a wide range of (much more expensive) diver's watches. I'm not surprised at all, Seiko brought their A-game to the fight and won that battle fair and square.
Seiko's pricing strategy, and with that also the quality they are offering, has been shifting upwards the past few years - a trend which I can ensure you will only continue. How do you feel about that change? Are you ready to reset your perception of what a Seiko can and should really be? Let us know in the comments!
Thanks for watching, always.
Your review really gave me the confidence to take the plunge. I own several seiko dive watches (MM 1968 SBDC063, Turtle PADI Pepsi, Samurai Dark, Sumo Green, and the SKX-007). So I purchased the SNR045J (The green version). I can say with utmost confidence this is grand seiko level. I thought the thickness would be an issue (I sold my Tudor Black Bay GMT because of the lack of comfort due to thickness), however the titanium and design of this watch makes this one of the most comfortable watches I own. The Zaratsu finish is amazing and after six month of ownership wearing it to the beach, golfing, softball, at the office...this watch still looks like it came right out of the box (I cannot say that about any other watch I own).
I have a 7-1/2" wrist and wearing this watch it has decent watch presence without being offensive like an Invicta...it looks no larger than a 42mm diver. The crown feel is amazing, it's size is perfect for requiring no effort to grip and manipulating. When screwing the crown in there is no playing with the alignment of threads like in other dive watches...just push and turn. It is hands down my favorite dive watch and I've owned many over the years (Rolex Sub, Omega Seamaster, Tudor Pelagos).
Fantastic, thank you for the feedback and sharing the owner experience! Pinned your comment so others read as well 👍
That feedback is enough to let me pull the trigger. I guess most Rolex owners appreciate good diver watches, and look for the spring drive accuracy 😉
how does it compare to the SD43 fit wise?
It’s beautiful, except I’m turned off by the enormous crown that’s out of scale. I’ve Hearn it described as a wart, or a horn. There’s no reason for it to be that large unless you live in Alaska and always have giant gloves on while adjusting the time. Funny has none of the other Seikos have that giant growth hanging down. Neither does any other watch brand.
My goodness that sweep is smooth. Excuse me while I console my skx
Just ordered from chisholm hunter today,no discount but ordered aligator and silicone straps from the other lx models free of charge! Can't wait to get on my 7 and a half inch wrists!
I bought this watch largely based on the strength of this review (and of course the actual watch itself on my wrist). Couldn't be happier with it. The finish is impeccable. The polishing is amazing, especially the contrast between the zaratsu sections and the brushed sections. The weight gives it a real presence yet stays very comfortable on the wrist. The lume is fantastic. The ceramic bezel looks great and moves beautifully. The unrivalled ultra smooth glide of the second hand, and the spring drive that powers it, is the icing on the cake.
I had to adjust the date in September, and in 18 days of October so far, it's gained just under one second. Anyone griping about the price: that right there puts it easily in it's price range. You get what you pay for, and with the Prospex LX, you get a lot.
The only thing I wish were improved would have to be the clasp. I'm surprised by how much I find myself making tiny adjustments, but the clasp itself is a bit thick. If you could somehow mate this watch with a Pelagos clasp, you'd be pretty close to perfect in my books.
As far as I'm concerned, the only real completion for this watch is a submariner. If you took the names off the watches and honestly looked at the specs, I think in many categories the Prospex trumps the sub.
Anyone who turns their nose up at this is married to a name and a story, not the actual watch (which is totally fine with me), but if you put this level of finish on a sub PLUS a spring drive movement, demand (and prices) would be through the roof.
Thanks for the feedback and the excellent mini review here! Congrats with the new watch! 🙌🥂
.....my words 👍🏻
I love Ken Okuyama 🇯🇵
(no gay)
except that a sub can be your only watch.. the prospex would be silly looking and uncomfortable for desk diving
otherwise totally agree and would prefer the prospex.. just not rich enough for multiple nice watches
I definitely turn my nose, and not because of the name. In fact. I constantly look at Seiko in search of a great divers watch, but their unnecessary thickness is ridiculous. Absolutely ridiculous. This is way thicker than a damn planet ocean which are pretty ridiculously thick as well, but this is just another level. Seiko always manages to scree things up, whether with their blatant quality control (or lack there of), their constant limited editions or even reissuing previous limited editions, ripping Rolex designs as with some of their gmts which look like explorers II’s (something which Seiko should be well above) and their ridiculous sizes.
I salute to watch reviewers who gives us a taste of the bezel rotating action sound
Will keep this in mind for future reviews 😅🙏 Thanks for watching and taking the time to comment!
Fantastic review of an amazing watch! That sweeping second hand is absolutely mesmerizing. Thank you very much for the close up shots to highlight all the details that make this piece so exceptional. I've had my eye on this for a while, and I'm sure at least 50 of your views were me checking out this watch over and over. Keep up the great work!
Hah, thanks for the kind words! Much appreciated 😄🙏
Amazing intro and great video! 👍 Love this piece but you know that already! The macro video is just next level! This one does punch above its weight for sure, I have a feeling it is a strap monster in the waiting
Cheers Jeff! Yes - it punches above its weight. And we shall continue the MM300 discussion with a few good beers next time we meet! Strapmonster? Nah, I think this one is born to die on that exact bracelet, what a beauty! :-)
Brilliant review. I love the entry level Seiko divers, but thought this wouldn’t be for me. Now I want one.
Best sleeper watch! Also I like the fact that it's a Seiko and not a GS, even more of a sleeper.
Trust me this doesn’t look like a sleeper irl
Great review and a great looking watch. I have 6.75 inch wrists and generally prefer a smaller size watch, but I personally don't get the current obsession with people complaining if a dive watch is over 40mm. I know it's all personal preference, and like I said, I normally like a more compact watch, but aside from water resistance and durability, visibility is the most important factor in a dive watch, and, no one can deny that the bigger something is the more visible it is. I think it looks good on your wrist because of the curvature of the lugs and I'd certainly be open to buying one if I could afford right now. Seiko excel at making a large watch wear smaller than it is by using curved lugs and relatively short lug lengths to offset the larger diameter.
Great editing on the intro! This watch is very impressive indeed! Thanks for this great review! Cheers
Thanks a lot man! Great to read you here again! 🤟
Brilliant review! Love that intro. 😍👍 I have the SNR033 and agree with everything you’ve said. They hit it out of the park on the LX series. Superb craft, detail, and finishing... I love the angular faceted bracelet links with the polished face of the center link, as well.
Thanks so much for the positive feedback, super appreciated 🙏
What's the price of this one?
OMG! First watch I've seen in a while that I genuinely want. Great review!
I’ve had mine for a week and I can’t seem to remove it from my wrist. Titanium makes it so light and comfortable and the smooth second hand is mesmerizing. I wore it in line for 14 hours waiting to buy a MoonSwatch in Las Vegas and several people asked about it including a major seiko collector that knew more about it than me.
Nice review, however the coating on the Titanium case does nothing to strengthen the case, it merely provides a harder surface than the titanium itself to provide better resistance to abrasion and light scratching. Although titanium alloys are extremely corrosion resistant, they tend to get a "dirty" look to them over time and can still corrode. If a coating is applied , via some sort of special deposition techniques, it can also provide better resistance to corrosion.
please do review of the other LX watches !
all look amazing, however this is surely Nr. 1 !
Good review !
Better than my Omega Seamaster more accurate better power reserve plus can take beating
Plus nobody's going to mug you as well
That is indeed - and unfortunately - a big plus for the (Grand) Seiko watches. Relatively unlikely to get you stabbed 😔
Green Erick I believe muggers look at the brand after they stole the watch
paso fino exactly !
You won't get scammed easily, spring drive movement is near impossible to copy. Chinese won't waste time & money copying a watch that's not at an overpriced MSRP.
@@mastermastromastello the Black version is not shiny
I’ve had one eye on this since it came out love the look of it - they’ve just reissued the 60’s divers in grey blue so a bit to think about.
mr pleasent yes, yesterday’s releases are a fantastic addition to take into consideration 🥳🤩😄
Great watch
I’ve handled the green one sbn045 and it’s true those titanium pieces are light as feather and polished to a level of a high degree of horology and movement is beautiful and unique, the dial is so unique and beautiful like a reef. Seiko when they make high end watches they are great for the price and their lug to lug is better than Tudor black bay 41mm and thickness has a purpose since it’s a tool watch with no helium escape valve. Overall very recommended watch and I own the snb049 which is very similar just v]can’t beat the value.
Fantastic review! Thank you very much.
The macro shots reveals the perfect application of Lumibrite, well finished indexes on the dial and on the bezel. I have seen many prestigious Swiss luxury timepieces with uneven lume, poor finishing of the hands, indexes, bezel insert, even stains on the dial. This Seiko definitely has perfected those fine details.
That is a beautiful piece of equipment!
Thankyou for the review. It would be great if you could do a video review of the blue dial Seiko prospex LX GMT model. Any plans of doing a video for this watch?
I will see if we can get our hands on one. Might be difficult in this period 🙈🙏 Have another seiko review dropping soon, but not the LX GMT. Thanks for the feedback and suggestion!
Great review. Thank you. I really like it and I think Seiko owe you one as commission. If the price is right - I'm treating myself!
Great video!!!
Thank you!!
Beautiful watch definitely plan on getting one in the future I’d rather have 3 of these in different colors than 1 Rolex submariner the spring drive movement is much more accurate than a Rolex as well and although it’s a bigger watch dimensionally it’s much lighter on the wrist. I still think the grand Seiko spring drive diver has this beat and you can find it much cheaper than these on the secondary market if your strictly taking Seiko prospex yes this is without a doubt atop the food chain with the transocean spring drive in a close 2nd
Perfect size , perfect watch. This is how best watch on planet looks like, at least for me :) .Shame that some people are being guided by Rolex,Ap for the best watches.I do think Seiko makes the best watches on the planet for now.
@@BurntPlaydoh Well, i would rather pay for Grand Seiko GMT 4000, than for Rolex milgauss 8000,as they are similar looking class. But every1 has his own opinion ,and people have different taste :)
@@BurntPlaydoh Kevin O' Leary says Grand Seiko matches AP
@@BurntPlaydoh I'll take his word for it as a watch connoisseur
@@BurntPlaydoh ok
Great video 👍
Thank you very much! 🙏
I'm looking at my 19sumo be like.. 'I still love you' 😂 I would love to own a spring drive some day
The “old” gs dial spring drives are not too insanely priced, worth a look? Problem with postponing a spring drive purchase is that the longer we wait, the higher the prices seem to get pushed 🙈
@Cameron Klondike true ! #TeamTunaCan
do you have any idea why it doesn't have a helium escape valve since it says for "saturation diving" !? I understand that the Tuna is a closed mono-block so there is no need for gas escape valve, but here in this LX model I can see that it has a screw case back!!
It's a beautiful, most acurate & wonderful watch. It's amazing.
I really want it .
It prices out at $7500. It ought be a damned good watch for that price!
More 4 a old shitty rolex
I found it new on Chrono24 at around 5000euro, is that legit or?
@@uAdrien Yes, it is. I bought a new one for less (a couple of days ago).
@@floorpronk3560 From what I've seen the site always has good prices for new watches such as the Omega Seamaster, Seiko, and even Rolex ( still over retail though ). But you know that what's too good to be true probably is, so I'm gonna research it a bit more. Thanks for the reply!
@@uAdrien, mostly it is. I purchased it not at Chrono24, but at a local juwelry store. Just received in. Very happy with it :-)
love this watch. Debating between this SNR029 and SLA023. If this watch didn't have Seiko name in it people would be all over it
Agreed! There is a close cousin from Grand Seiko, without Seiko on the dial :-)
What is the difference between the two? Thank you!
This watch is much better than Rolex Submariner !!!
never had a Rolex in my Hands, but since i have this i can imagine very well your are right.. or on par (just different) beside the caliber.. SD is unbeatable...
@@a2b3c Strongly agreed !!!
Beautiful watch but it looks very large on your wrist. Seiko should come out with a smaller 39-41 diameter size.
I agree absolutely Ray. If this came in at 42mm or less seiko wouldn’t know what to do with all the money people would be sending them. So many more wrists could be sporting this at that size (mine included) 👍
I agree! 42mm is the best size for all.
@@cellist70441 41 or 40 please
Exactly, something between 39-41 mm is needed. That is the sweet spot for most wrists.
Rude Medic 40*
The Seiko LX diving watches look amazing - maybe the best within the Seiko range. The Grand Seiko diving watches (to me) have always looked a bit "wrong" and awkward in design - a possible exception being the quartz divers that Grand Seiko produced in recent years.
As this review is a couple of years old, I think the limited edition Seiko Prospex SLA 055 and 057 (1968 diver's modern re-interpretation) may now be Seiko's best/most beautiful diving watch design - like the LX it's a bit like a "stealth Grand Seiko!"
Omg, it is soo tempting! 😍
I was tempted too until I saw the $7500 price tag.
@@PS41263 wkwk
Hattori-san designs are ultra-cool. Need adjustments to accommodate long-term ownership (reduce thickness).
I think that’s very accurate indeed, nicely said! Can’t see myself wearing this at 65+ anymore due to its impressive size 😄
Great movement!
Absolute killer, just incredible stuff 💪
That was like 61 seconds dude! Great vid :) Fantastic editing. Well done pal.
Thanks! 😸🙏
Hi. Great review. May I know what the lug width is for this watch please
Thanks Mohd! Yes this would be a 22mm lug width 👍
WOW
World Of Watches
41.5mm would be perf! I like big watches, maybe up to 43 but this is getting ridiculous and I'm athletic buildb about 200lbs... I feel like for a 45 mm watch you have to be an NFL lineman.
amazing timepiece!!!!!!!!!!
Perfect size for me, beauty peace, love it 👍😉
Beautiful watch, but this piece has a flaw on the dial... the 6 marker. The upper left corner is lopsided/uneven...look at the upper right corner for what it should look like. I wonder if this flaw is just with this piece or is it on many specimens?!
Huge! I love it!
💪💪💪
My hope is that the person who can afford such a watch will appreciate all the craftsmanship and engineering.
Fairly sure those are the only people getting these at the price they are going for 👍
Excellent hands on video. I think one of the first real reviews of this watch.
I wanted to know how's the on wrist comfort? How does it wear for a 15mm thick watch?
What's your wrist size?
Akshay Sinha thanks a lot! I have a small wrist, 16.5cm (6.5”). It is thick yes, but it wears nicely and I like the overall package a lot. You can tell they made the big effort to avoid it being top heavy, and it really pays off. Wrist comfort = great.
@@degriff ohh, exactly same wrist size as mine. Here I was, put off by the size on the spec sheet. But here it looks damn awesome on your wrist. I wonder how well it would fit in with formal shirts in an office setting. What's your opinion, bro?
I want it!!!!!!!!!!
Nice watch and seiko have good discount
We need a 40 mm version! Too big for most wrists.
Its designed for pro divers. Enthusiasts and casuals have to compromise.
What "most wrists"? You have a survey or something?
I'm on my skx013, would love something below 40mm🤭
@@TheShockwave44 Most wrists are best suited for a watch around 39-41 mm with a sensible lug to lug. No doubt there are thick wrists and people who just like big watches, but I'd say 39-41 mm is always a crowd pleaser. Ever read watch forums or the comment sections of watch videos on CZcams and noticed what people always wish for when there's talk about these 43-48 mm watches?
I eat playdoh i know that because im a diver aswell. But still its capable of being used professionally and what its intended to do. Doing professional diving needs analog or mechanical backup watch when their computer breaks while doing their job. So buy buying a piece like this as a jewel, the compromise is at the buyers end.
Es una pasada, precioso
Where can I buy this watch
Want one 😍
Vidar Mathisen it is both beast and beauty in one watch 😆 maybe have a look also at the latest releases (announced today) by Seiko and grand Seiko, similar price range and upwards
@@degriff just read about the presage getting spring drive. Very cool !
What an interesting diver! I wonder...at over US$6500...who their market is for this watch as it seems to be competing with Grand Seiko (favorably in specs, I might add). Personally, I'd have put the GS brand on this piece and wonder if that clasp mechanism is the same as the GS SBGA229 that I had, which performed poorly. Cool that you got this watch to review as I imagine it's somewhat rare. And nice video, as usual!
ATX WatchR thanks for the feedback as always! 🙏 Yes - i wrestled with the branding for the first two weeks as well (as you know). From a European general consumer perspective - Seiko is not charging these prices so this will be a long term exercise for them I think for this market (and the US as well). But if you ignore that, ignore the brand brainwashing efforts. This watch is excellent. The clasp performed very well here, Just on the chunkier side. And the bracelet - absolute fire 🔥
@@degriff yes, the bracelet looks for better than its GS uppity cousin 😏😏😏. I'd definitely consider this instead of that GS I had that was stolen. Looks to have better bezel action, a non-Picasso designed power reserve indicator, ceramic insert, better lume.....
Actually I'd rather have the Seiko brand. Keep it low key sleeper.
I thought the Spring Drive was reserved for only GS?
Sorry….I still prefer the SLA family. The 8L35 is a great movement. And although its not cheap, it is much more affordable!
I really don’t like the power reserve on the front of the SNR line. But there is no doubt its a durable watch.
rock solid indeed
“It’s hunting ground”... nice...!!!
:-) Thanks for watching and the feedback! 🙏
Beast of a watch ! There is no doubt that Seiko Prospex LX are much more special then the suby
@@MT-kx2uc I have 6.8" wrist and i also thought that they wear big ..... But after i put one on my wrist i've changed my mind , I did a review on the SLA021 and i explained there why this watches wear much smaller then what you think :) of course it would be lovely if seiko made 2 versions with different sizes . Cheers mate ! .
I like the design especially it has a deep of 300m
Great looking watch! Despite at almost 45mm, doesn't look like that big to your wrist. Speaking of, what's your wrist size?
Thanks! It is on the smaller side - 16.5cm or 6.5''
Where to buy?
Could never afford this watch. But this video is 👌💯
Hah, many thanks!!
I guess the real question is will the Seiko professional desk divers buy this one?
Good review. May I know what is your wrist size?
of course! On the smaller side: 6.5" or 16.5 cm
Ha ha we have the same wrist size mate😬. This is going to be my grail watch😍😍😍
Crikey! I wish I could like a few times extra for the opening shot alone, wowzah! Excellent video review! Seen the latest article on the site also, (Grand) Seiko is doing mad good releases mate, but please keep this a secret, I still need to buy a few! :-D
MrMooseful haha :-) Thank you for noticing the intro ☺️☺️☺️😆🙏
Beautiful watch but I have to echo others sentiments in that it is too big for most people.
Is the bezel misaligned, as usual?
I wish the clasps would get an improvement on both high end Seiko and on Grand Seiko
100% agreed. That said, Seiko seems to be really listening to the feedback lately (unlike many other brands) so I actually would expect that to get a nice upgrade in the short to medium term. For this watch, while not the most aesthetically pleasing, I found it matched the overall tool watch spirit. But I wholeheartedly agree with your wish!
Fits you perfectly
What is your wrist size?
Thank you! It is 16.5 cm (6.5 ")
look very nice...
Too BIG!!! 40mm is the perfect size.
Agree man.
i think a spring drive movement is too big to put inside a 40mm case.
Too big for me but would that matter to someone who intended to wear it as a diving tool?
True
Agree with that
Seiko and GS need to step things up as to the bracelet and clasp quality.
100% agreed
It's beautiful but The Rolex Submariner still better in size (slimmer & dressy with only ~40 mm case diameter)
I'm still wondering why many Japanese watches are bulky, but I can say their GPS watches have no contenders & become slimmer these days: Citizen Atessa Caliber F950 and Seiko Astron Caliber 5x53
How much?
Follow up review please... with more wrist shots ...
I don't own a Submariner but I do own a Seamaster and despite costing 20 times less, the Seiko still compares surprisingly well, although it's never going to rival (let alone beat) Rolexs or Omegas which are expensive for more reasons than just the brand. It's not a fair comparison, much like comparing a mid-range VW with a top-of-the-range Porsche.
It's a great watch though and I wear mine a lot.
Thanks for the insight and watching along! May I just say - excellent username and icon ? 😆👍🥂
People complaining it is too big just don't get it.. It is a dive watch. A watch for diving with, not a sports watch, not a dress watch, a dive watch. A watch for diving with. If you think it is too big your probably the type of person that buys something they don't need because they are fashion orientated. Too big for you then buy something else.
Amen !
New grail ? Maybe but not a fan of titanium. I like to feel my mm300 on my wrist.
If you have the MM300 already I think your needs are pretty much covered :-)
Lovely watch with a few issues. First it should have been a 42mm case max, 2nd power reserve indicator should have been placed on the back with a see through case back to give the dial a cleaner look, and lastly that clasp is hideous for a watch in this category just look at the clasp on tudor pelagos or rolex sub.
100%
If it could have been a hair smaller indeed, this would have been truly smashing. Perhaps in the future (although unlikely)?
@@degriff id say unlikely. Seiko usually doesn’t give what the watch community asks for.
How much ?
Smoother drive than a rolex...WOW!
Impossible to beat Springdrive :-)
Nice review. Love this watch, I own Seiko and Grand Seiko. The problem with this watch is the crown. It's so ugly like big wart.
Thank you! I can totally see how the crown (and the watch itself) can be rather love or hate indeed, it is massive in every sense 😅
Great review and love the watch. However, I feel that this should have been a Grand Seiko release. Grand Seiko is really diluting its own brand image by making this available as a Seiko model.
I agree, it is an odd choice and we discussed it here as well, our best guess is that they went with Seiko and kept it center in the 'toolwatch' category. A bit more fancier, a bit less tool-like and it would have been a Grand Seiko. Just our guess
@@degriff Trickle down technology can really devastate the competition. As an angler, I know how Shimano and Daiwa have steadilly let their top of the line reel technology find it's way down to their whole lineup, and they have more or less cornered the market by now.
A Grand Seiko diver of similar specs will be priced at over $10,000. It will have a better movement, better finishing, much better bracelet, more refined overall.
@@dennischen8887that's demonstrably false. Regular Grand Seiko divers, meaning non limited edition pieces, are generally sub $10,000.00.
Regardless, the point being made is the negative impact on brand perception. The Spring Drive movement is a tier up from all other movements of Seiko and Grand Seiko. Keeping that movement exclusively with the latter, is better from a brand perception perspective.
@@JuvoII that's a good point. However, doesn't that only work if the trickle down technology costs considerably less in the lower-end brand, as compared to the higher-end one? In this case, the Seiko LX is in the same price point as the GS diver. The overlap is confusing the market.
As many have said why is it so large? No one wants watches that large and it shows in the sales numbers. 40-42mm is much more palatable
WHY doesn't it say Grand Seiko?
(especially because of the quality, movement, and price)
I honestly don’t know 🤷♂️ we talked about it here with a few of us. Our best guess: because this is a pure toolwatch. And toolwatches will be Seiko in the future, fancier interpretations will be Grand Seiko. Just a best guess though..
@@degriff thanks for getting back to me. This is a big mistake on Seiko's part. Who is going to spend this much and basically get a Grand Seiko, WITHOUT it saying Grand Seiko? NOT me. If possible, maybe tell Seiko about this fair point and maybe they will consider changing it on a future model of this amazing watch.
private if you care about brand then get a Rolex.
is this better finished than a Sub? absolutely
does this feature more and cooler tech than the Sub? yup
as a lifetime member of the Rolex hater club, how many million times is this better than a Sub? 0, because it fails SPECTACULARLY in the area where the Sub (and Seamasters and plenty others) is excellent, and that's wearability.
i hope that with the recent 40,5mm "62mas" tributes Seiko has finally realized that you don't compete with watches that can be worn by anyone by releasing chunky monstrosities that can be worn only by the select few. i mean hell, the MM300 is visually probably my favorite diver ever, but that thing looks ridiculous on my wrist. and there's really no reason for it to be like that, as making the exact same watch finished to those same standards, with that movement but with a "normal" caseback, putting it the MM200 ballpark should be a given, not a pipedream that is unrealized for 2 decades now
hell, put the GS logo on this SNR029, make it 42mm and 14mm or under thick, put on a display back and you have a luxury diver that would take a very significant piece of the Seamaster cake, not to mention many a people on the Sub waiting list, probably doubling if not more the profits from the current SNR029
let's hope that with those price hikes of recent years Seiko has become a learning animal. highly unlikely but one can hope...
Omega Seamaster 300 will be my choice
Manolo Castilla a fine choice! Video review of that one coming up very shortly 👍 thanks for watching!
Got both watches when you've experienced spring drive it's hard to go back to the Omega Seamaster
@@greenerick For me it's the opposite. I have both a spring drive gs and the seamaster 300m and very much prefer the "pure" automatic movement. I rarely find myself reaching for the GS. Thinking about selling it for the speedy.
It cannot destroy the Rolex but this particular Seiko is a beast. I want one.
Every maintenance is going to cost you an additional seiko sumo and you need to send it back to Japan for months.
Great glad its 44mm even though i have a small wrist, i dont like puny 40mm watches, bigger the better.
Alan Rogers the thing is that it has extremely short lugs, the 44mm is not much more than most 42mm watches. Not to say it is small (it isn’t), but the lugs are way shorter than on most swiss watches.
I'm used to enjoy and buy Seiko watches. But over the years, they have followed the Rolex model and pushed the price far above the value. Both brands are gone from my collection.
I’ve have had several luxury dive watches, the Rolex submariner is still the best, simply due to the slim and elegant design. The seiko are too thick, like the sea dweller.
I held this watch at the boutique, it's gorgeous but too big.
God I wish they made this in a GMT version!
There is a Gmt version of this! 😃
