This watch was designed to be large...but, the beauty lies in the ergonomics. It has a low center of gravity, allowing it to hug the wrist + the titanium is the perfect combination. It makes me so proud to wear my LX nice and loose and looks amazing! Who else can say they have a Seiko Spring Drive these days??!

I would like a watch that is solar powered with a smooth sweep seconds hand with the accuracy of a quartz watch. Is there anything like this out there?

Im not sure if there is. Maybe a Seiko quartz chronograph. They sweep close to smooth, but not like the LX, just gliding.
Had mine 2 years and over no problems mine is a Black diver titanium
