  • @duraiselvam

    Two minutes into the video, she came across as crass and idiotic to me. First, she says potholes are a part of our culture, does she even understand the meaning of culture? Then she asks him to have a spicy drink without even having the basic courtesy of giving him a background about the taste of the drink and has the audacity to say that you have many more such "experiences" to have. Disgusting to say the least. Why cant they have a better educated and a civilized host to represent our country and its "culture". Justifying that they never treated us with respect is no excuse for treating them badly. Particularly, when "Athithi Devo Bhava" is a part of our "culture". Two wrongs are never going to make one right. I am surprised that Mr. Gordon kept his cool, I would have lost it right after having that spicy drink.

    • @vakeesan
      @vakeesan Před 6 měsíci +9

      Firstly, calling potholes part of the culture was clearly a joke. Secondly, giving him a spicy drink was clearly a prank and saying there are more such experiences was banter. Gordon clearly understood this and kept his cool.

    • @aishamapara4803
      @aishamapara4803 Před 6 měsíci +9

      gordon ramsay is a known jokester and has a sense of humor (unlike the people in this comment section). this woman is not a random stranger he is meeting for the first time. she is someone he knows and respects enough to be a part of his show, or if he was offended he could have asked the channel to remove that bit from the video. and lastly the woman was simply pranking him in a manner which is on brand for him. grow up

    • @Freya1412
      @Freya1412 Před 4 měsíci +1

      It was a joke. Lighten up. You are too concerned about putting up a good face for a foreigner. The roads having potholes is such a common occurrence that all you can do is laugh and make a joke about it being ingrained in the culture by this point.
      You made a whole rant post about this woman yet Gordon was interested in meeting her and here you are being a salty person about it. I found her charming. Especially that laugh of hers. She can look at all the flaws in her surroundings and still call her home paradise. She gave him a taste of what's significant in South Indian cuisine with that drink too. Maybe it's you who doesn't understand the culture.

      Cause namaste isn't commonly said in Kerala. There, it’s Namaskaram. And even that’s not said often unless giving a lot of respect. For casual greeting it’s just joining the hands. And a nod.
