    I don't know what happened before but it's strange that all those soldiers were in the dugout shelter and not in the trenches or foxholes, and when they are fighting the orcs there is a bunch of soldiers in one pit/bomb crater. I have forgotten most things of my military service but I still remember that under enemy attack soldiers must not bundle up because a single grenade could wipe them all out.

      You are right. I’m not sure how many men were at that position, but it seemed like it was a small number. So maybe they had some bad artillery shelling or something. Not sure. But, it’s good that he made everyone go outside to man the positions.

      That is very true. I would be concerned about the soldiers overrunning them and dropping some grenades In The bunker though. Those foot soldiers were only yards away from that bunker.

      @@KimForsberg Funny story: Once we were on a ridge, observing artillery barrage and our Captain was running like a mad man and throwing explosives around to make it look moore realistic. I put on my rain poncho and fell a sleep in my foxhole althoug it was raining and cold. I woke up to something hitting my helmet with a loud bang, then I saw a corporal (in Finnish alikersantti) raging and swinging his field shovel (while I was sleeping all the others had gone away to move to an other location and nobody had noticed that I was sleeping in my foxhole), we ran about one kilometer to reach the others (it was hard because I was laughing all the time) then we got into tracked vehicles and went away.

    This a weird story of one minor skirmish during the Winter War: " The Battle of Varolampi Pond also known as the 'Sausage War'[1][2] occurred during the Winter War and was a precursor to the Battle of Tolvajärvi.
    Battle
    On the night of 10 December, the 718th Rifle Regiment of the Soviet army swung around the Finnish rear of the Tolvajärvi front and attacked the lightly defended Finnish supply and artillery troops at Varolampi Pond[3] situated along the Korpiselkä [fi]-Tolvajärvi road.
    The surprise attack saw initial success by the Soviet troops in advancing through the Finnish supply lines but failed to continue the assault towards Tolvajärvi village and the Finnish main-lines. The Soviet soldiers were exhausted and hungry after 5 days of forced marching and stopped to eat the sausage soup that the retreating Finns had left behind in their field kitchens.
    This gave enough time for Major Pajari, who happened to be along the Koriselkä road at the time, to muster enough soldiers from the 16th Infantry Regiment along with dispersed field cooks and medics to launch a counter-attack.
    Fighting lasted well into the night and involved close quarters combat and one of the only cases of bayonet fighting during the Winter War. By dawn on 11 December the counter-attack succeeded in driving back the Soviet force and inflicted heavy casualties, with over 100 dead Soviet troops left on the field according to Finnish estimates, along with 20 dead on the Finnish side."

    Russian Russians are called Orcs by Ukrainians, and Russians and sarcastically Ukrainians are called elves vli vsukami. In addition, there are many offensive nicknames in use. Russians troll Ukrainians and call themselves orcs . Here Russians and Ukrainians are belonging to a country, not a nationality. Since Russians and Ukrainians are fighting on both sides. This is not counting other nationalities. Few Ukrainians survived in Bakhmut. In the video, they are talking in Russian. Moreover, in pure Russian.It is noteworthy that the Russian language is banned in Ukraine at the state level, although there are a lot of Russian-speakers. The video shows how in critical situations they begin to speak it, in their native language. So the disagreements within Ukraine will only worsen.

      @@JustAnotherArmyVet For understanding. The media do not share the concepts of Russians and Ukrainians. Both Ukraine and Russia are multinational countries. Ukrainians in the conflict are citizens of the country, not a nationality. And not all Ukrainians support Ukraine as a country now. There are also many of them fighting from Russia. However, the citizens of Ukraine are also fighting on the Russian side. Ukraine has had an internal conflict between its own citizens since 2014. Therefore, the way the media give information that Ukrainians are fighting against Russians, implying ethnic groups, is fundamentally wrong. So these are military actions between the same people, only different ideologies and different states

    • @victory3252
      @victory3252 Před 11 měsíci +1

      @@JustAnotherArmyVet Therefore, when someone takes one side or the other of the conflict, he does not support the ethnicity, he supports the ideology and the state. And so both sides of the conflict are the same people. Who were pitted against each other.
