My first e-scooter was Hover-1's Highlander, and I liked that the speed had a cap, even going downhill, like this scooter. Really nice for beginners like I was. The idea of blasting down hills was still nerve-racking for me at the time, though now I love it.

Loving my Hover -1 Journey max, this might be a good thing for my kiddo. 11 years old 5' 4" 120 lbs so probably a good size for him at 350 to do short rides. With the change to the journey max I wonder if i can buy that controller to disable cruise control. Also really wish the max was 10 inch tires, but i got a front fork for mine and am looking at a kit to raise the rear fender and make it a 10 inch tire scooter.
The new ones coming out around February will have the ability to turn off cruise control, and have the ability to turn on Zero start so you don't need to kick. -Paul
Will current scooter owners be able to update the firmware to include these updates?
Unfortunately no, these scooters don't have bluetooth or an app. The Journey 2.0 is also getting the same updates to be able to disable cruise control and turn on zero start, but I think it's being rolled out in February. -Paul

I do doordash for my income on an anyhill um2, and I think my friend got me one of these for Christmas. It's a nice little short range commuter, but there's no way that thing is gonna handle dashing for long. Don't have the heart to tell him though.
He can expect about 10 miles in sport mode. How far do you get on your UM-2? -Paul
What's the range of your anyhill?
We covered 17 miles on the range test course with our UM-2. But I'm also curious how far it typically goes when doordashing. (You probably know already but the UM-2 has a swappable battery) -Paul
@@ESG-ElectricScooterGuide I haven't really done 100 to 0 test purposely. But around 15 or so on a 240 lb rider (including gear) per battery I think. But I use the anyhill because I can just swap my battery for a spare when I'm out of or low on battery. Whole reason I picked that one for the job.
Nice! I love the idea of being able to ride as hard as you want on the first battery, and then knowing the second one will get you home (especially if you ride just a little slower than you did on the first). -Paul

You forgot to mention the most important part: the wattage of the motor.

We list the spec 1 minute 46 seconds into the video at the left side of the screen.
I don't talk about motor wattage very much because when I've graphed the motor wattage for all 150 scooters we've tested and looked at performance vs the claimed motor wattage, there is almost no correlation between motor watt spec and performance, especially among the sub 500W scooters.
The Journey 2.0, for example has the most watts per dollar that you can buy, in terms of specs, but performance per dollar is fairly typical relative to its price. So I tend to always just rely on measured performance. You can compare all of the scooters on our site.
