Valley fair is thriving because the management is excellent. Each store is carefully selected and they make sure they are ones that shoppers actually want to go to.
It's in the heart of Silicon Valley, across the street from Santana Row (Luxury outdoor mall), and demographic is mostly people unaffected by pandemic.
The addition of many different restaurants is what draws many people in. Many other malls just have the food court and maybe a cheesecake factory. But this mall's got a good mix of retail and restaurants.
As a San Bruno native, every time I walked into Tanforan I kept asking myself whoever’s running this mall do a better job by making sure the right stores and attractions were at the mall much like Vally Fair and a lesser extent Serramonte. Many mall managers are have gotten so complacent with how malls used to run that they need to think like the mall mangers from Valley Fair in how to attract customers away from the computer and give them something different that would make them want to go
I used to go to this mall all the time but since they started charging for parking I really stay away from it I just don’t like the idea of it. I don’t like the idea employees have to pay for parking either
That's the worst part. That employers have to pay for it. They are the ones helping to bring money in. They should not be charged. Also yeah, I hate that we have to pay for parking in general. Just another reason why car-based society is stupid.
oakridge is def not getting any valley fair type investment. valley fair makes more money than any mall in california, that's why it receives lots of extensions and renovations
Terrible story. As a former merchant of the mall they have torn and destroyed hundred of dreams of small businesses with over promises. Under delivering traffic and one sides leases which most small business owners are unable to afford. I ended up settling in Small Claims when they didn't give me back my deposit. Crooks to say the least. That's why they are trying to dump their portfolio
Also that new parking payment prevents you from leaving the mall in a timely manner it’s like being stuck in a traffic jam while people try to pay with their credit cards through that machine and a whole lot of back up occurs.
Except everything is stupidly expensive and parking's atrocious nowadays. Arguably bougie. This mall used to be my favorite. Miss the days where it was just simple and not flooded with people moving to the area.
2 hour free parking. $1 per hour after that. I think $10 is for a lost ticket. Main issue is that it is a pain to leave the parking garage because hundreds of cars have to go slowly through the exit gate.
Perhaps mall princess Sue Newsom can pull some strings and get the section of Stevens Creek Bl in front of the mall repaved. The streets in Alviso have better pavement.
Somebody fire this guy, the disrespect. He really called Tupac “two pack”. The shirts not even a Tupac shirt. It also has B.I.G and Diddy on it. I don’t see how that’s worth 3k though.
I remember going to that mall once visiting from NJ. Wow never seen so many foreign tech snobs with their noses up in the air while driving their Teslas .Probably smell their own farts as they talk about quantum physics. Yikes!! . - Gary
I've had Amazon prime since maybe 2014 and I'm a huge fan but I like the experience of malls because I get to see everything in person before buying and they have food there too so I can be a fatass while I shop 😂

Yes like charge the customers for parking that will bring them in in droves

Because they know they’re not gonna make money off their tenants so they found another way to make money by charging for parking.
@@Mygreyhoundchannel - Stupid of the management. They are greedy.
All parking isn’t free???? I was there in November, but I was ubering around that I didn’t notice 🤔
This mall is one of the nicest mall I’ve been to.
Valley Fair is all-around an awesome mall. I loved that place, I need to go again.
Yea! That mall changed so much over the years too
Yeah except I don’t like paying for parking to shop at the mall and I don’t like that they charge their employees parking either
Haven't been there in a while. Last time I went, I ended up spending over $5,000. Not a good thing for a student.
Good luck on paying on parking tickets 💀💀💀😁🤣🤣😂😂😂
Oakridge Mall needs to get RENOVATED as well. 🤷🏻♂️
oakridge is def not getting any valley fair type investment. valley fair makes more money than any mall in california, that's why it receives lots of extensions and renovations
as much as I would love oakridge to be extended, it's never happening unless they tear down macy's

At least there’s some hope for malls as long as they keep up with change
Good stores, good restaurants, safe vibe, no ghetto crap. Yeah makes a difference.
$3000 for 2 of those t-shirts? If I had billion dollars in my bank account, I still won't buy them.
I’m sorry. Did you say Tu-Pack?
I remember this mall from the 1960s,
Wow!!!! Gorgeous
I love Valley Fair Mall it's been around since I was coming up in the Bay Area and I am always going to be at Valley Fair Mall fan
I refuse to go there due to the newly enforced paid parking lot and the recently increased gun point robberies in the past few months.
Also that new parking payment prevents you from leaving the mall in a timely manner it’s like being stuck in a traffic jam while people try to pay with their credit cards through that machine and a whole lot of back up occurs.
and they charge for parking when it used to be free L

valley fair is a very nice mall except they are charging 10.00 per parking space, ~!
IMO that is a good way to keep the riffraff out!
Yes but it's after 2 hours of free parking
@@omargonzales3 Good way to churn out the people who aren’t spending money, too lol

2 hours free.. rest $1 a hour
Best mall in the Bay Area. Wish other malls would follow suit. Great Mall, Newpark, Southland, Oakridge, Eastridge, Stoneridge, etc are all dead
Not all are died. Not for the Great Mall and Eastridge. Can't say about the others.
Imagine going to Southland Mall
Awesome mall!!!
Give it a moment. THEY will come and eff it up.
It's hard to reproduce the commercial center of Silicon Valley anywhere else ... it also helps that crime wave has not reached here yet.
Very nice. But it's security beefed up given the rising smash and grabs
Yeah I see a lot of people in there
Perhaps mall princess Sue Newsom can pull some strings and get the section of Stevens Creek Bl in front of the mall repaved. The streets in Alviso have better pavement.
The closest mall to my small town is 60 miles away in a large city. Not even worth the trip in time and gasoline and aggravation.
Did anyone ask? Tf 😂
Who is “2-pack”? 🙄
Lol I thought he meant a two pack of shirts . That's shirt is not worth 3k
$3,000 for two shirts. Shirts? Collectible? GTFO
Yeah I remember when Valley fair was all outside mall back in the day…….
Visit 'Sekaido' newly opened in Valley Fair!
anime store?
Oh yeah, I’m gonna head to the mall and buy me a $3000 Tupac shirt!
No duh Einstein. Silicon Valley tech hasn’t been affected by the pandemic. Stonetown galleria malls in SF / car to car cramming and still building.
I wanna go but no one wanna take me😫😩😩😫(I have haven’t gotten my license)
It's overpriced af. Why anyone shops there...I don't know.
Somebody fire this guy, the disrespect. He really called Tupac “two pack”. The shirts not even a Tupac shirt. It also has B.I.G and Diddy on it. I don’t see how that’s worth 3k though.
I wonder if the joggers are watching this video. It's pretty tempting for the next looting target with all the high-end items.
Joggers are a rare sight here. Too expensive.
I was going to say the same thing. This mall will be in the news... BREAKING... smash and grab at Valley Fair...!
I remember going to that mall once visiting from NJ. Wow never seen so many foreign tech snobs with their noses up in the air while driving their Teslas .Probably smell their own farts as they talk about quantum physics. Yikes!! . - Gary
Santa Clara is very wealthy area so yeah......
I've had Amazon prime since maybe 2014 and I'm a huge fan but I like the experience of malls because I get to see everything in person before buying and they have food there too so I can be a fatass while I shop 😂
RIP
I cant spend time at that mall. They charge hourly for parking.
Park in Santana Row for free and walk across the street
They don’t charge for the first two hours of parking.
It looks dead ASF in the video. How many empty retail spaces does the mall have. These are all lies all lies.
It's really busy on the weekends. We go there often. Great mall. As good as Century City mall in Los Angeles.
It’s a very very busy mall in the weekends
Bro that was in the morning lol
It's actually pretty busy. The mall actually grew a bit so everyone is spread out
How come noone is wearing a mask they don't care
haha sue newsom
The parking has changed
