- A recent uptick in Lululemon thefts is raising concern after police say they have charged four women caught on camera stealing thousands of dollars of merchandise Tuesday at a location in Ardmore. Meanwhile on Thursday, a Lululemon in Rittenhouse Square was hit twice. FOX 29's Shaynah Ferreira has the scoop.

They know that employees aren't allowed to stop them, so thieves think they have free reign.
I don't know why they don't hire security guards at the door. They'd be a lot cheaper than the huge losses on the daily. If they don't allow employees to stop the thieves and they should hire people who will. I don't get why this company just keeps putting up with this. It's been going on for years. I first heard about it when the employee was fired for trying to stop the thieves. And it's still going on, 10 grands worth in one hit? Something wrong with the higher ups in the corporation, get some armed guards, that will stop the loss. It's probably why Lululemon is so expensive because they're covering their losses by increasing the prices. .

Last year the owner of LuLuemon said in statement that she was ok letting criminals get away with stealing and she didn’t want employees to call the authorities. She said the people doing the stealing were underprivileged and needed the items. Boy, she changed her tune now. 😂😂😂

I am a black man and I agree. Most educated well to do black men do not want to marry black women. I grew up in a Predominantly white community and always wondered why black men that are educated and well to do dont find black women of the same standing. For 1 black women are extremely insecure. If you have education or value of equal or greater value they see you as a threat. Black women have a weird way of thinking. They don't see relationships as a partnership or teamwork, they view everything as competition, especially with black men. Black women are control freaks because they are insecure. If they know you have the ability to come and go they feel insecure. I've learned black women whether they are educated or not, church going to ghetto are all the same underneath the surface. I've dated girls who were Suburban, Considered ghetto, educated, Church going and they all act the same way and are toxic. When I saw the title, for a second I thought it said linoleum heist.
I am a Canadian. I used to feel safe in the United States. I do not travel to the US now due to this reason. I also am on oxygen and so more vulnerable. I feel concerned for all Americans and glad to hear what Lulu lemon had to say about the safety of their customers. I am 73 years old and go into Lulu Lemon in Canada. I do not know how to keep myself safe with this level of risk.

They get away with it because they know Lululemon aren't stopping them, so get some security guards and stop the thefts. Disgusting.
Put a cap on how many guests can be in the store at a time. Keep someone at the door at all times to lock it, and unlock it as people leave or in case of emergency.

In 2003, I went to a Louis Vuitton store in Paris, and was buzzed in by employees. Only a few customers at a time were permitted in, others stood in line to await their turn. As a rule, your passport was collected when you made a purchase. It was also the first time I saw banks with an anti-room that was an effective deterrent for robbers. I think if high end department stores wanted to reduce theft, they could institute a policy whereby a drivers license/ID was collected, only a certain number of persons could enter at a time, and the rest could wait in a queue outside. Once shopping was over, ID’s could be given back. It wouldn’t necessarily add to the cost of business, nor reduce the number of shoppers, and would potentially save the business tens or hundreds of thousands of dollars each year.
Hire security! I'm sick of subsidizing criminals. No more shopping at any of these loser stores.

I have to say you have to profile. When I see women entering the store wearing hoods and mask, it’s easy to say thief. The same with young men. No one is wearing a mask anymore. Put a sign in the window. No hoods and no mask. When they enter turn them right around. Also you can have an auto lock to lock theirs inside when you see them grab. Lock the door. I don’t understand why these retail stores don’t have more security. Not just a security person but features like an auto door lock and door shutters to lock a their inside. Lock all doors. The saddest part of store robberies is that consumers and taxpayers end up paying the costs. Consumers pay higher prices for merchandise to make up for the losses, while taxpayers cover the expenses of legal fees, law enforcement, and housing for convicted criminals.

It is a vicious cycle where the ones who pay are not the ones who commit the crimes.
