    man ... i am from pakistan ....my ancestors were hindus ...just typical indian farmers ....until islam came along....& converted masses of us...(by force ...off course)
    in my 24 year life ...i have been thinking about our origins ....we're pakistanis ...but actually indians....so our original language is Sanskrit ....which is like blasphemy now in pakistan ....i consider myself lucky .... that i had access to resources online & somewhat of open mindedness to actually learn something .....majority of my countrymen are poisoned by islam ....& they won't let go of it!!...tyrant arabs also change our written language to "Urdu"..(which resembles arabic off course)
    and now i learn we all came from central asia ....on Khanacademy ...which is run by bengali / indian / US citizen ....
    how amazing is this new internet world....

      The Unknown- Much of Pakistan was NOT kalash. Kalash were cut off from traditional indian philosophies long time back as they lived in far off places. They existed in a small pocket in the north-west.
      A lot of Pakistanis were Jain and Buddhist too, like rest of India. They were also called Hindus by the muslims, coz they basically are the same faith(ie. no faith) and the muslims do not know shit. Infact there is no term for hindu or hinduism or even religion in any natve indian language. Muslims brought that poison.
      'The good thing about Islam is that it didn't destroy pagan religions'-
      'Islam could not destroy' would be the most appropriate term here. They did try their best. Please look at the zoroastrian people of Iran. They broke every temple or Indian place of learning they could find. Burnt every book and library they captured. Destroyed whole cities. eg- Varanasi, mathura, ayodhya are very old cities, but they do not have any building more than 350 years old. They could not succeed. Also, they had to bring it down a bit so as to keep revolts at bay in a hindu majority nation.

    Another interesting subject worthy of a video would be the kalash people of northern Pakistan who genetically and culturally are separate from other near by people's some of them say that they are decendants of Alexander the Great as some of the kalash exhibit European typical features like blue eyes and even blonde hair but in reality they are probably an isolated remnant of the indo-Europeans (aryans) :-)

    • @Holy_hand-grenade
      @Holy_hand-grenade Před 6 lety

      thomas spicer not that uncommon... if they aren’t later arrivals, namely Arabs or turkics, most peoples east of Anatolia, north of the Tigris and Euphrates and west of the Himalayas / desert basins of Western Asia, they are very likely indo-Iranian peoples... this includes Kalashi, Pashto, Afghani, Kurds, Mazanadrani, Persians, Tajiks and most of your upper caste, fairer skinned Indians. Another notable indo-Iranian linguistic group was the Scythians and quite possibly the Huns. It’s far too often inferred that the Huns were Turkic as it was the Magyars... not the Huns... who provided the Turkic linguistic and genetic elements into Hungary... just as the Bolgars did with Bulgaria.
      Very few Hungarians look Turkic. I’m guessing they’re genetically closest to Slavs abs that they retained some original pre-Magyar traits from at least a partially Aryan ancestral stock. Descriptions of the first wave of Huns in Europe as swarthy, ugly, short men does lend itself to a group of nomadic Turkic people though.
