What is OM? What is the power of OM? Swami Mukundananda, in this amazing short lecture reveals the divine meaning of OM or AUM. Any entity when it needs to be communicated, needs to have a designation or a name. In the Vedas, the name for God, among other names, is OM. It represents the formless aspect of God. It is particularly significant because it is the cosmic sound. This whole universe is pervaded by OM. In the Vedas, the OM comes in the beginning of mantras as a beej or seed. Many Yogis get drawn to the formless aspect of God. The Holy Bible also says that in the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.
The Vedic scriptures also state that God first created sound, from sound he created space, and then proceeded further in the process of creation. That original sound was “Om,”. As a result, it is accorded so much of importance in the Vedic philosophy. It is called a mahā vākya, or great sound vibration of the Vedas. It is also called the bīja mantra, because it is often attached to the beginning of the Vedic mantras, just as hrīṁ, klīṁ, etc. The vibrations of Om consist of three letters: A…U…M. In the proper chanting of Om, one begins by making the sound “A” from the belly, with an open throat and mouth. This is merged into the chanting of the sound “U” that is created from the middle of the mouth. The sequence ends with chanting “M” with the mouth closed. The three parts A … U … M have many meanings and interpretations. For the devotees, Om is the name for the impersonal aspect of God.
Swami Mukundananda graciously elucidates that what is most important is the name of the God and always remembering God. He goes on to elaborate different methods of chanting God's name (a must watch!) and summarizes the lecture by revealing the devotional bliss from addressing God's energy. Radhe Radhe!

God needs a name and that name in Vedic scriptures is beautiful powerful word “OM” . It represents the formless aspect of GOD. It is the cosmic sound and this whole universe is pervaded by OM. In vedas all the verses and shlokas start with OM. Before God created this world 🌍 and its entities like earth , fire 🔥 , water 💦, space , air , OM sound was created. Hence chanting of OM is considered very blissful and in yoga 🧘🏻‍♀️also many asanas has OM chanting to benefit body, mind and soul. Our Sadguru ji Maharajji has told us to chant “Ra” when you breathe in and chant “Dhe” breathing out , so collectively we chant ‘Radhe Radhe’ 🙏Thanks Swamiji for the such a wonderful wisdom on OM chanting . A must watch for all spiritual souls . Jai Ho !🙏Happy Diwali 🎉🎊

Great to know the history behind the sound Om by Swami Mukundanada ji...Om represents the formless aspect of God. And also the entities of the world manifested after the sound Om. Swamiji also emphasized on the chanting the name of God. Our mind fluctuates so much that in a minute we will think in 100 directions. But chanting the name of God will make focus at one point which is pure and purifies our Mind. Also Swamiji explained the different varieties of chanting the name of God which is Upanshu, Manasik, Vachak, Kirtan. Great to know about these types of chanting. Finally Swamiji explained the beautiful way explained by Jagadguru Shree kripaluji Mahara which is chanting the divine mother Radha Rani name, Radhey with every breath...This is the beautiful and easiest way to take our mind towards Lord...
Thank you Swamiji for your beautiful videos and explanations...These are very enlightening and opening our eyes...

Definition of Om is well defined in Mandukya upanishad and demonstrates the full range of consciousness explained. OM represents the origin sustenance and end of universe(holy trinity Brahma, Vishnu, Maheshwar). The silence between 2 OMs represents the unmanifested infinite form of God from which the manifested world( whole of creation) emanates and then dissolves in to and this process repeats infinitely. God (referred as SadaShiv meaning the eternal auspiciousness mentioned in the very starting of Vedas as it says that it existed before the Big Bang) is “All that IS” (manifested universe)and “All that is NOT “(unmanifested) all combined. Here the sum of all these parts is bigger than the whole which means infinity within infinity. In vedas this infinity is explained as a story where Vishnu and Brahma travels to discover both ends of an infinite energy beam(the Sada Shiva from which they originated) but fails to find its ends.

As per the vedas ,bhagwat Geeta everything, every atom of the cosmos is permeated by God.In fact ,they talk of infinite universes and say that God maintains them with only a small part of his energy. The cosmos emerged from him and He is present as the sub stratum in everything ,in matter in animals ,in plants ,in soil ,in idols in the heart of all humansWe and everything is part of him.
So Guruji is referring to God as defined in Vedas and as per vedas in fact only God exists and everything is part of him he is the eternal, ever joyful, source of knowledge ,wisdom, the Chaitanya or conciousness or Aatman in everything

Same name for God Because There is only one God not two otherwise both gods would have different creations and different human beings but God is one

    Namaste
Om should start from the centre of the navel. ‘A’ should come from there, ‘U’ should come from the throat and ‘M’ should be in your head. In this process, All the three syllables should be chanted with equal time.
It should sound as OM and not as AUM separately.
We can chant it 21 times or 108 times.
After the chanting session, the chanter should self analyse the experience and see if it energises them.
    Thanks
