- Just a quick video with some clip from recent flights that were not really planned, or supposed to make a video... lol I was just playing with autotune and the gains a bit, to address the oscillations during takeoff and what seemed to be an over aggressive tune overall. It's flying a bit better now than it was!

Last night I tried a few late night flights with a 5 in. HDZero Quad hefting a 6s 18650 li-ion. Fireworks were all around the horizons but none close by. I couldn't see into the completely dark areas, but had a good view, best Ive ever seen, and easy to fly, I had one super bright flashing automotive led on the bottom that came in handy when I bumped my goggle selector dial and lost video. I instinctively hit rth and it came back after climbing to target and landed itself beautifully except I was able to adjust the spot to land without disrupting the auto-land. That is the second time over a couple years that I have lost video, once on analog and testing and practicing rth on almost every flight has made it second nature. Fun flight, DVR footage only an FPVer would love, and yeah I do like the weird dvr look of HDZ. Now that I have HDZ solid, I need to get out that Avatar VRX and V! and put it in...what..Something twin.

A couple years ago saw video of ZOHD Drift being maidened on ArduPilot and it was twitchy.

The Drift is sub250g, and it wasn't happy with the default PIDs. Keith's video reminded be of having watched.

Lost my t1 ranger vtol yesterday right after takeoff. Have the last gps location but was unable to find it😢, good thing I have 2 more kits , gonna take my drone out tomorrow and search some more , it was a 100°when I crash yesterday, today nothing but rain about right
Dang bro that sucks! I know what you mean about the heat, it's been rough out here! lol Glad to be getting a little break with the clouds and rain right now, but that's not good for your plane sitting out there. Was it over a field or something where it went down? When I had to find a wing in the soybeans once it was much harder than I thought. We had walked right by it a few times and never saw it, until I went back and walked up and down every row, and it was within 10-15 feet of the coordinates I had if I remember right.
@bonafidepirate yeah went down in a canefeild but nothing is planted just rows of dirt and it was the dark t1 ranger so it's blinding in with the dirt , got 2 more white t1, thinking about getting those stick on strobe lights , might help if it happens again
Do you have DVR footage, that, a beeper with its own battery backup, and using goggle and or Transmitter rssi on low power mode have saved a few planes and quads if battery wasn't ejected. Boy other folks I fly with have lost a few even if we had a good bearing on them as they went down. Take water and don't be tramping out there by yourself. It can be dangerous.
@spartan3299 yeah I have dvr footage, it's only about 2 to 300 yards away but it's been raining all day just about
@spartan3299 I used to have pinpoint rc black box gps I use to put in my planes but they went out of business I guess because the app doesn't work , saved me a couple of times , took me within 5feet of my plane each time

I was surprised to see the Ranger draw 4+ amps at around 32 mph. Seems like (or I was hoping) it would be around 3 amps. What size battery will fit? Thanks
Ive got my Dragon 2 flying great now with arduplane and walksnail pan/tilt setup however the OSD is constantly flickering. Ever see something like that?
Yep, it's a common problem. The only way I know to stop it is to turn off onboard recording in the VTX. You can record on the ground in the goggles/VRX only, and it's fine.
Did you try running autotune with different autotune levels?
