      Hi B Rabbit Thanks for your view and comment. The Omega 9K is a great compact suppressor. I've been very happy with it and have thousands of rounds through it using it on the Scorpion and a couple of Glocks with threaded barrels. Stay Safe B Rabbit !!!

    I just got my Omega 9K. Put it on a 300 blackout with a 7.5" barrel and loaded a 50 round drum with 220 subsonic. Thing was still very loud. I wore ear plugs and ear muffs. Not the quiet that I was looking forward to. I will try it on my Glock 19 and AR-9 next once I get the piston and adapters.

  • @garrett4971
    @garrett4971 Před 4 lety +1

    Correct me if I'm wrong, but you don't need a piston for a PCC that is direct blowback, correct? The piston is only needed for recoil-operated pistols.

    • @Police108Talk
      @Police108Talk  Před 4 lety +1

      Gene I tried running my Omega 9K without the piston (put in the sleeve) on my Scorpion and it would not work. So I use the piston on my Glock's and with the Scorpion and it works flawlessly . Thanks for your view and Stay Safe !!!

    • @garrett4971
      @garrett4971 Před 4 lety

      @@Police108Talk you had to use it on your Scorpion? That's interesting. Doesn't seem like you should have to, since it's recoil-operated.

    Hey man. Nice video. I’m going to go get a Omega9k from silencerco in a couple days, to attach it on a my Cz Scorpion Evo 3 what else will I need? Will I only need a 3-Lug Mount? I’m new to the suppressor scene so I’m a little lost.

    What piston did you need to attach the 9K to scorpion 1/2 x 28?

    • @Police108Talk
      @Police108Talk  Před 6 lety +2

      Hi Mike, I used the standard SilencerCo 9mm piston 1/2x28. My Scorpion being a early model had the 14 mm threads so I purchased a 14mm to 1/2x28 adapter from CZ custom. The setup works great and is very quiet. Thanks for your view and question . Stay Safe !!!

      Why do you need a piston on the scorpion; the barrel doesn’t move

    What's the barrel length on that scorpion?

    • @Police108Talk
      @Police108Talk  Před 6 lety +1

      ANGLIN ARMY , the barrel is approximately 7.71 inches. Ofc. Bosco

    • @ANGLINARMY
      @ANGLINARMY Před 6 lety

      Police 10.8Talk Hey thanks for the speedy reply! Have you been tickled with the length? I'm debating on the 4" barrel...any thoughts?

    • @ANGLINARMY
      @ANGLINARMY Před 6 lety

      My philosophy of use is to put a can on it and use it for home defense and plinking

    • @Police108Talk
      @Police108Talk  Před 6 lety +1

      ANGLIN ARMY , I would stick with the 7.71 length, it is a pistol cartridge so I want as much barrel as possible for velocity reasons. Like short barrel ar15 pistols , I wouldn't go below 10 inches due to velocity and the gas system on the 10 inch pistol still uses the carbine length gas system so it doesn't effect operation. The scorpion is a blowback so it isn't effected by the shorter barrel length. But that's just my opinion..ofc. Bosco. Thanks for the view and comment.

    • @Police108Talk
      @Police108Talk  Před 6 lety

      ANGLIN ARMY , I have to admit that I like the scorpion , except for the magazines. If you buy one i would recommend the ones made by manticore arms with the metal feed lips. The scorpion magazines are prone to cracking over time if left fully loaded. I still like the HK mp5 better :). Bosco

    • @PracticallySquared1
      @PracticallySquared1 Před 5 lety +1

      Police 10.8Talk you need to run a fixed barrel spacer or a fixed barrel mount. I don’t know how your running yours if your not using with of the two routes I mentioned above but I’d be careful. The fixed barrel spacer is like $40. Well worth it to not risk baffle strikes. If your just running a piston your going to eventually get a baffle strike.
