Love, love, loved this video, Ivy! I've learned a lot of new concepts and practices on your channel. I attended a retreat where the facilitator introduced the concept that time is a construct. So I started playing with time in a short time frame. Whenever I was running late for work, I would "drive outside of time". This worked as long as I didn't 1) look at the clock on the dash and 2) worry about being late. Having success working in short periods of time feels like a good foundation to work farther forward or back. Weaving of imagination and memory, looking forward to working with hypersigils.

I am working on a science fiction short story that is intended to be a hypersigil, this is my first time trying this through a short story; it is quite exciting to learn more about the craft
I often have prophetic dreams that come true weeks or months later but I can never decipher beforehand which dreams are going to become true beforehand. Deja reve is the term I think. This has given me the understanding that our night time dreams may well be the most effective hyper-sigils of all. As a person who doesn't believe the future is certain this makes much more sense to me than any powers of prophecy.
inspired to dedicate an entire journal solely for servitor hypersigils! it's fun writing down their dwelling space, their appearance, abilities, what they do when they're idle, tools, etc. and forming a story for the day/ week/ month/ year/ indefinite time. although im limiting my time for about 30 mins a day to discipline myself and so i wont get distracted from studying haha
I’m so happy to be reinvigorated in my practice lately. This is a great video. I am a musician as well as a belly dancer. Me and one of my fellow dancers have talked about doing some choreography enacting hypersigils!
Also, the concept of rewriting the past is basically almost identical, to what Law of Assumption/Neville Goddard followers call revision. I think some people have a problem with it because their brain won’t let them “deny“ the past. But I really like the way you explain this, and Writing a story seems like a gentle way to feed the information to your subconscious.
A very pretty occultist. You have an excellent presentation on Hypersigils the best so far IVY league standard. Time is circular and retrocausality is very real. One of the 7 Hermetic Laws deals with cause and effect which reversed is effect and cause. Like being sore today because tomorrow we worked out. Like today eating at a fine restaurant and seeing a fine restaurant on a drive to work the next day. When we think of cause we usually think of something dramatic that causes events to set in motion but it could be something fairly simple such as a planted memory. A drop could fall into a still lake and cause ripples but ripples can cause a drop to fall as well. The Feed Back Loop that you mentioned is very similar to Gordon White's RoboFish that is using something/memory that is highly probable to give a boost to low probable events. The HyperSigil is very similar also to Gordon White's Shoaling of sigils which also pushes out timelines into the future. All of this is double confirmation for me and I am excited to have come across your channel so I subscribed.

I've been for awhile wondering about Hypersigils but it never made much senses to me the way Grant explained it. So I thank you (again!) for making this video. I wanted to try it for some time, since I like to write and I also process my emotions that way too.
I also wanted to mention how much I love your channel. I like your approach of chaos magick and the way you use it as tool to work on psychological issues. I've always been into psychology (planning on study it) and the occult. And mixing it was the next step for me.

I just started my Magickal Journey last month. I've always been a writer and a creative type and these Hypersigils have fascinated me! Especially since I heard Grant Morrison talking about them. I tried writing a short story sigil in my own personal Journal for them and put it away for safekeeping but it didn't work the way I intended it to. I wonder what I did wrong?
It's really awesome to see some of these unique topics introduced and covered so thoughtfully. It's interesting you said you can't change the past.. I've heard another Chaos Magician say theoretically you can. I don't know if he may have been referencing Tibetan Buddhist Lama skills or something else. It was really fascinating and I hope you will come across some more knowledge on that. Also would be really good to emphasize how important it is to close portals after workings. Maybe a whole video on that!
Oh yes, chaos magicians argue all the time about whether or not we can change the past! Time is a construct and it can be broken if you're willing to brainwash and re-condition your mind. I can see the validity in their arguments because if you can change your perception on how time works, you really can change the past! But for me, that seems a little too "conspiracy theory" for my taste. To each their own!
You can. You can change the past. At least, your own past -- or perhaps your perception of the past. This has been scientifically proven. It's called "retrocausality."

Somehow this Chaos Magician translated this into a magical working and earlier mistakes he'd made, that he had memories of (and evidence of!), suddenly somehow did not exist anymore. It’s simple ,your thoughts create your beliefs, we all have stories or narratives that we have subconsciously playing out in our minds , we project those outward and they create a domino effect on the people around us - it’s called projection - it can be positive or negative - story writing can be an expression of our repressed subconscious musings -some call it magic and practice it that way , others call it thought work - same thing - it’s about how and for what purpose it’s used for …. I watch everyone these days walk around living as “the main character” it’s important that we don’t forget that we are all equally as important as the other , don’t get so carried away in believing your manifestation/ projection is the only , most powerful or most important one - every living being on this earth is just as vital in how things play out in the tapestry of life , if your walking around believing your all powerful and manipulate life around for only your benefit you will lose in the long run.
We all here born with the need to survive and desire to thrive , don’t lose sight of others power or the fact they are running their own narrative - people and life it’s self are magic ,/consciousness all projecting their own story - shit on someone’s narrative and they will shit on yours.
Be careful buying into this concept of seeing life through this chaos magic lense , rather just acknowledge it’s all the same - just with different names - stay humble

Hello, really enjoyed this video! So I'm doing my Ph.D in History and one of my minor comp fields is American history (I'm Canadian), and I'm currently reading two books from completely different positions on the persistent idea of American Exceptionalism. One book is what I would consider a proper academic analysis with no rose-coloured glasses, and the other is from a conservative Christian theological perspective. It struck me so hard that political theocrats are constantly and unwittingly using hypersigils to shape the US into what they want it to be, manipulating the past and weaving it into the present and the future. Maybe all politics use history this way to some extent, but I would argue that the emotion-led, fundamentalists use it brazenly and with abandon. I just wanted to mention it here because it blew my mind how prevalent hypersigils are in our political and economic world. Now I have a word to describe it ... thank you!

Brain activity shouldn’t affect manifestation in any way. It is only meant to project. Those finding difference between imagined and memorised, find it due to undeveloped imagination, so memory is stronger projection.

That's kind of using the law of attraction isn't it? I done this when I was 16, I was on holiday away from all my friends and stuck with family for two weeks so I got stuck into doing this.
I wanted a lover to find me who loves star wars and doctor who and is of course gay 🤣 I wrote like diary entrys every day during the two weeks based on what me and my "lover" done that day, and letters to him etc. DAY 1 of returning from my holiday I went to a party and met a guy who really fancied me who was obsessed with star wars and doctor who! The only other gay person I'd met at the time too! I didn't fancy him back though, he didn't physically attract me but it still worked!
Wow that's so cool it worked for you without you realizing what you're doing! Yes, I think there is a little bit of a crossover here with the law of attraction! (Though the "law of attraction" community can be quite toxic so I try to avoid it lol)
This sounds like scripting & revision techniques from the law of attraction/ law of assumption!
I was literally doing this with my dnd character without knowing.
I find it hard to make decisions, so that was what i based my character around.
He is young and inexperienced so i made him rush into things.
"Standing here talking about it isnt going to change anything"
Then id just make him do it. It was working really well, and even more now because the poor boy played with a deck of many things and his alignment swapped. NG to NE.

Thank you so much for such an informative video! I've heard of doing this before and have tried it a couple times, but I couldn't pinpoint why it worked some times and not others -- then I realized the space I did it in/the method I tried it in weren't consecrated or sacred. Makes sense!
I have a pen I consecrated previously to only write in my general magic journals, though I have used it mundanely once and someone else did without my knowledge. Can I re-consecrate a tool to be purely for hyper sigils (and erase its memories), or is it more effective to get a new tool entirely? Or should I consecrate it to build on its previous one? (Thank you again for the video, I love the creativity that's surging just from watching it
Some people have no problem using the same tool and consecrating it for a new purpose, but some people need to have a brand new tool all together. Try re-assigning your writing tool and see how it goes! I re-use my tools all the time 🙂 As long as you stay true to your consecration and don't use it for anything else after that, you should be fine! (Unless you consecrate it for something else later on of course)

Just curious, are hypersigils the same or similar to scripting? I don’t know much about scripting, but I remember back when I was on TikTok scripting was a HUGE thing, but in some weird escapism way rather than manifestation. I know Megan at Round the Cauldron also has done some scripting for manifestation, so I’m just curious if they are similar or the same?
Two girls one ghost talked about final destination having real accidents throughout the crew and maybe cast as well throughout the years they were filmed.. there was a scene filmed of someone's death and than an assistant of a director or something died the same way.
This is the second time this week I've come across a recommendation for the book Weaving Fate. I'll take that as a sign.
I'm very curious on how effective a hypersigil would be if it were to be released out to the general public to be read, vs something that's more private, like a fictional diary entry.

Hmm, I'm not sure! I know quite a few authors that use their characters as hypersigils and it seems to work pretty well for them, despite their work being published publicly. But who knows, maybe private workings are more effective!

This reminds me a lot of using affirmations to manifest. It probably is the underlying principle behind these affirmations. I love how there are so many things in witchcraft and magick that I have just been doing somewhat intuitively all along or I might find a way to incorporate a new principle into what I have been doing all along and doing it with a new understanding. I'm a somewhat new subscriber to your channel, so I'm still catching up. Liking the content I've been seeing.

Whats the difference between hypersigils and scripting? Or are they two words for the same thing?
To me, they are two words for the same thing! 😊 Though with hypersigils, it incorporates other artforms like painting, movement, acting, etc... anything that showcases a narrative. I find that scripting is typically shown just for writing. But they're basically the same thing 😆

I write Court Fantasy, so hard pass (in court fantasy 90% of the cast ends up dead) XD. Tabletop RPG is fantastic learning tool for human behaviour. When you act during play as character that is more courageous or charismatic you learn how to do it in real life :). That's why I'm player and game master since I was 13 yo XD

As a Fantasy writer, I noticed a curious thing: My character went from having a job as a bartender to having one as a hotel night receptionist (she was turned Vampire in chapter 1). During writing and editing that, I lost my job and got one working at a bar instead, I quit that due to a lousy boss and got a well paying one as a night receptionist at a hotel. Very curious. Also, her character arc is healing from depression (at the time I started writing, I was mostly over it, but it was still lurking in the background, waiting for an opportunity). Now it's totally gone. Hearing you talk about it, made me realize this and in the future I'll be careful about what I write. (And my characters are never self-inserts! They are 5% me and 95% their own person.)
