Looking forward to seeing the sheetmetal filling that 19" section. Thanks for documenting this! Awesome concept.

Always love your work, and this is an interesting project. I have never been a fan of “patina” finish. It’s become a cliche. I prefer genuine body and paint work.
I am in no way suggesting that you change your plans. Of course you should build it the way you like. I am merely sharing an opinion on a certain fad.
Keep up the good work. I have no time for any projects not related to my business. You provide a bit of vicarious satisfaction for my auto interests.

Thanks, haven't decided on the extent of the Patina.:) Once I spray some paint down I'll have a better idea where I'll be headed. The plan is a two tone black and red paint, top of the cab, hood and fenders black, the lower red.:) Have a weathered look from sitting 50 years in the desert.:)

I have a 671 and Allison trans out of a fire truck and an 8V71 out of a genset. Would you want them ?

Thanks for the offer but I don't have anymore room.:) I seven Detroits in my shop at the moment and one is a 6V71.:)

Instead of notching the back to fit the rise in the frame, could you just put a body puck just big enough to add rear body mounts?

Thanks, I want to keep the cab level and as low as possible.:) If I raise the cab on the back an inch, then I have to raise the front the same to keep it level.:) If the cabs not level it will look off once the headache rack is up against the cab.:)
