As always, a masterpiece of restoration 👍👍
Why is there green color onthe body?
You should make a video of making a new model car look old
IT'S HARD TO BELIEVE TWO THOUSANDS DOLLARS FOR A BURAGO'S TESTAROSSA 🤔
@@LeChuck652 I'M TOTALLY AGREE
If it´s a rare limited CMC Modell, ok. But Burago, no. CMC are all handcrafted and a masterpiece.
@@townstar1 It isn't a CMC - note the bonnet hinges.
@@-triumphgt667 I said "If", I know that´s a Burago.
I have one still in the original box. I'm feeling generous and will let it go for an even $1000!
Clearly the 'finished' car is a different model - the inside of the right hand door is obviously original and not the replacement made in the video! Nice try but ultimately disappointing
I'm afraid you are wrong about the inside of the right hand door. I could agree other arguments, but the inside of the right hand door is exactly as it was reconstructed
It is a bit amusing how every single video you have ever done is sprayed with the exact same mud spray.
@@jimmccormick6091I apologize in advanced, for this lengthy post but I think it’s important to know.
first off, the only things that should show rust is the screws keeping this thing together, but even that is doubtful, because the area the screws were found was still an untouched pretty red paint. Is it any wonder he didn’t display the screws in the disassembly assortment?
The material the actual body of the car wouldn’t and couldn’t rust because it’s made of a pot metal called zamac which an alloy of soft metals mixed with zinc and magnesium, etc. Soft metals don’t rust they patina, and this zamac, although will show signs of pitting, again, will not rust. It oxidizes. Showing stubborn hard powdering that’s virtually hard to get rid of without sanding, scouring and plating, even then pitting is still obvious before body filler and paint. But a restore such as this alleged one, need to be plated with zinc, copper, or chrome to help stop further oxidation and cover any further pits.
Also, this isn’t an old car nor is it a collectible, per se. This is what’s called a “manufactured collectible”. Where the only thing making this a collectible is the words on the package, though no where near worth more than what it originally paid for. No matter the age. For example: if you bought this particular collectible for $20 its price, at best, will either stay the same or go up between $1 to $5, depending on how old it’d be. That’s a big “IF”, too. Because this car would have to be 100 years old to get any where near the $1 to $5 profit range.
Because items that say “Collectible” on them aren’t rare. Hence the name, “Manufactured collectible”. That’s why you’d see such a low profit increase in them after a century because they may not be as common, but they wouldn’t be rare. Real collectibles never have this word on them or their packaging.
@@jimmccormick6091 Correction... at 10 dollars each,
Amen it looks like mud
Amazing how they keep finding things with rusted plastic and alloy🙄
Nice job on replacing the missing door 👍
The actual rust on these diecast models has to play into question. I have seen damage to a lot of them, but rust? Secondly the title is a bit of a falsehood. $1 is a possible price for an intact but damaged die cast car ... turning it into a pristine die cast car worth $2000 would take gold plating ... not cleaning and paint.
so much trouble for a model you can buy new at the toy store for 18€
But the channel is monetizing it, and that's okay.
The process is priceless!
Jesus, the box in my loft is worth more than the house it's sitting over. $2000? bollocks it is.
Your braise turned into JB Weld! Magic!
A great restoration and the door fix was superb. Enjoyable to watch, Thankyou
Thank you too!
Wundervolle Arbeit ,Burago Modell 1/ 18 34,90€😊
I'll run you through the process...
1. Buy a mint diecast scale model
2. Use model paints to artificially age the model
3. Film your self cleaning all the crap you just put on the model
4. Publish vid on CZcams and pretend your really good at mending things
Fr, it isn't so hard to find play worn diecasts.
@@beamer8907 But this isn’t one of them.
@@user-bw5ib8ds1e wdym?
He obviously destroyed it him self.
The inside the can shot was awesome! Good job!
PARABÉNS!!! Vc é um artista.
A beautiful work! The precision he had with each piece is impressive. Congratulations. And a "hello" straight from Minas Gerais - Brazil
This is a timeless model car, it's a historic, so great work.
He should do that with a real full scale Ferrari: it would be worth 12-16 Million $$$ afterward.
You are a true craftsman and fantastic.
how did you come up with $2000? No chance of that, maybe $20 tops
Good God do I have to see slow mo putting your visor on?
Nice work but, I think you could have done a better job on the exhaust.
Even taking into account that some of the weathering on that little car was clearly artificial your workmanship is impressive.
Its amazing how you keep finding all these destroyed things.
It is apparently a fact he destroys them.
Wow !!! This is a spectacular restauration !! Thanks very much!!!
Excellent workmanship, and nice job with the detail work.
All that work for a cheesy Burago. Just go buy one for $29.95.
finishing a hike in dead horse point state park when I saw a 1959 testarossa drive past me. It was a group of testarossa owners who meet every five years to drive their cars around a specific area. I went to look at the 59 testarossa and then the 57 testarossas started to arrive. one after the other. there were 6 or 7 in total. my favorite car and they were in immaculate condition. what a day.
What a proud looking display Maranello's best! 🥰🇬🇳
Wirklich TOLL 🎉❤👍👋
You are pioneer in restoration,Hats off.
Great job!
Fantastic work congratulations 😊
No Burago model is worth 2 grand. They're more like toys for kiddies
Some old models, box in mint conditions and never used nor opened, actually may be worth 250-400€ (300-470$). SURELY no-one will worth more than that unless it's signed by Senna, Schumacher, Ferrari himself, or other big champions, preferably dead.
❤gran trabajo!!!!espectacular.
MUY BUEN TRABAJO, FELICITACIONES !!!!!
Incredible! 🤩
Brilliantly done👍👍👍
I don't think a Ferrari would have orange peel paint
Incredible just incredible.
First TestaRossa was 1957 which is wht this one looks like. Great Job1
Fantastic restoration well done👏
Chapeau bas ! Beau travail
Great work amazing😉👍
Simply amazing!

That's pretty darned slick.
Very buetiful and very infermative video 😊
Glad you liked it!
Formidable travail 20/20 Bravo

Impeccable bravo encore une de ressuscité
The door job is absokutly fantastic!
THATS AN AWESOME CAR
Who doesn't love restoration?...
Well, I don't know how I got here, but this was absolutely astounding work!!.
It’s fake. Two cars, you can buy them online for $20.
Can someone please tell me who composed the music heard at the end?
I have the same model , and now i need to find a rich buyer.
Belíssimo trabalho.
bel lavoro!
Nice job and good luck
Thanks! You too!
Joli boulot. Félicitations
that butterfly part was so artsy, was it accidental ?
Great to watch
Lovely job restoring, but did you get some of the parts from a hobby shop, like the grill and the bucket seats and dashboard? Regardless, it looks great now!
Does die cast aluminum rust? Asking for a friend.... ;)
Maravilhosa ❤️❤️😍
ferrari 250 testarossa burago 1/18 old school the best of made of Italy
Love almost all of it, except the exhaust pipes. Using electrical cable was a bit lazy
Reminds me of the videos showing ‘barnacles’ on baby turtles being scraped off. However, I must admit the video is well made!
It's of course beautiful, but the "weathered" version was awesome.
I think he missed your sarcasm.
Where do you find those vehicles or toys?
Those are some serious tires to be still inflated and not cracking ^^
Excellent Work ! Bravo !
Truely a very fascinating and a very informative video production. I watched from beginning to end and your video production of this model car restoration was enthralling, interesting and original. Thank you for this presentation, (I shall look for more on this CZcams channel)..!! Mahalo and Aloha from Honolulu , Hawaii
THANK YOU
Door turned out so well you should make the drivers side to match!!
No.
what is Surf? - i saw what it does but what is the product
- thanks in adnvance
RESPECT !!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I have the same like new in my showcase in France since the 70' ... But 900 dollars you are kidding or y sell it now !!! ...🙂
Very nice!
Thanks!
Sensacional!
Anybody who has or collects diecast does not treat them like this! That’s a lot of work just for content…
Nice job but you should have used a brighter red color . FERRARI RED
Regardless how 'authentic' the before condition is, we can all agree the results after restoration are impressive!
Very easy when you can buy a new one for $20, take it out of the box and film it.
Historical context: This is not a 1984 Testa Rossa. Watch an episode of ‘Miami Vice’ and you’ll see the huge difference. This model is patterned after the original, legendary Testa Rossa from the 1950s that helped create the Ferrari mystique!
Hahaha, a $2000 Bburago, okay there 🤣
08:32 You are an artist. 👍
Hes an artist alright😂😂😂😂 A CON ARTIST
