No Voltage Release (NVR) on Triton Routers | What is NVR?

- No Voltage Release (NVR) is a new regulatory feature that has been designed for your safety.
NVR prevents a motor from automatically restarting after an interruption to the power supply.
If table-mounted, you will not be able to use your table’s switch-box unless the NVR Bypass key is fitted to the router.
Note: The NVR Bypass Key exists only to allow your router table’s existing NVR switch box to control the operation of the tool in the table.
Attached to the table, the table-bracket and bungee cord reminds you to remove the NVR Bypass Key if dismounting your router for hand-held use.

NVR is a great safety feature and Triton’s solution to router table use is simple but effective!

Does this key come with the TRA001 as standard?
Hi @Tritonwoodwork. Nice feature, I'd like to buy a router with this feature, but am unsure how to find the correct model. Has the model number changed or anything I can ask the reseller to find out if it's the new model? If the names stay the same, I'm afraid they won't update the pictures.. or even worse, sell older models with the new pictures. There is no local dealer close to where I live in Germany.

I've just received a brand new TRA001 from Toolstation but I don't see any key. Since when are the models equipped with the nvr ?
Same question, only I bought mine at the beginning of this month, May 2023. No bypass key, presumably no NVR switch?
Just checked, and mine does not have the socket on the top for the bypass key to go in. This probably explains why it was being sold as clearance.
Can this be retro-fitted to earlier models?
Hello! NVR cannot be retro-fitted to older Triton units, but the switchbox of the Triton TWX7 table has NVR built in already. NVR is new only to the router's out-of-table function; the bypass key's purpose is to prevent the new in-built NVR from interfering with the existing NVR of a switchbox.
I need to but tra002 with 220volt / 50hz .. I am looking online since three days with every site i know i couldn’t find .. please help me
