    Airsoft
    Are you wondering what airsoft is?
    Airsoft is a team game in which participants eliminate opposing players by tagging them out of play with spherical plastic projectiles (bbs) shot with mock air weapons called airsoft guns.
    Although similar to paintball in concept and gameplay, airsoft pellets do not leave visible markings on their target and hits are not always apparent. Though the pellets leave bruises or welts on exposed skin , the game relies heavily on an honor system in which players who have been hit are expected to call themselves out by shouting "HIT".

    APS is just a brand that I can't see anywhere besides dumpster fire. Their older AEGs were bad, the newer ones (the silver edge series) are so bad that you literally can't fix them without milling the gearbox for an hour. Sure, the cam870 was well received but it's just about the only popular APS that people liked and even that thing didn't consistently work out of the box. I've owned four aps, two gbb pistols and two aegs, and not one was in working order out of the box. Proprietary parts, poor quality materials, and between myself and most people I know who own one, consistently non-functional replicas in the box (non-functional is an exaggeration, more like not fieldable).
    Valken on the other hand I don't think deserved the dumpster fire. I fondly remember their alloy series that more or less premiered the microswitch mosfet, although I have to admit the newer ASLs are barely viable.
    I did enjoy the video a lot, but I feel like a lot of it was based a lot on collector views and how much you liked certain specific replicas. Which makes a lot of sense, but it was a little hard for me to really understand how you got to certain points of view, since some picks (like Krytac) were based more on the value proposition of replicas, while others (Systema, Real Sword, etc.) were based more around the "clout" of the brand. Still, I enjoyed the video. It was fun and relaxing to kind of just listen to.
    But also, what about all the up and comer brands that are reshaping the landscape of airsoft at the moment? Where were brands like Double Eagle, Army Armament, KJW, and no mention of Cyma plats? Honestly, I'd want to see two separate tier lists, one for the brand clout and one for the value proposition and quality of their products and this definitely isn't just a thinly veiled attempt to get Defrowe and USAirsoft to make more content together.

      Dude, thank you so much. That's great feedback! Very well written too. I simply used these brands because it was a pre-made tier list and had brands that both of us knew. That said, I don't know if I'm really qualified, as I've only really been in the hobby actively for about three years and I don't even get to play that regularly. Actually, there's quite a lot of reasons for you not to have me on, as I live in Germany so there's legal and import barricades that stop me from getting experience with a lot of these brands; my knowledge is pretty much limited to entry level replicas, hence why I know a fair bit about many brands that make AEGs in that range but I know very little about brands like real sword and systema. • @clockwork6966
      @clockwork6966 Před rokem +1

      @@defroweairsoft there isn't anything hugely wrong with krytac guns (some would say that certain proprietary bits are an issue but I don't really care), the issue is with their price. They are far too expensive for what they are and the amount of good things you here are probably because people won't shut up about them to try and justify the amount of money they dropped on it. Very nice quality externals but put next to a cyma blue edition for example they are equal, internally they are very basic (they do have a mosfet but it's the most basic £2 mosfet you can get, it's more to prolong the life of your contacts than for any performance). I fact they feel and perform about as good as cyma blue edition stuff, yet they cost double. I have and use a krytac myself but only because I got a crazy deal on it, definitely not worth the asking price in this current market.
      As for vfc (more so their aeg's), cost a lot, nice externals, gears are made of cheese, not worth asking price in current market.

      Great feedback man. VFC have some great gas blowbacks. I think VFC didn't get a great score because of how they approach their production iteration and compatibility. Yeah, TM should be S tier. I don't have any information about KWA because we don't use them in Japan.

    The cyma platinums are sraight garbage. Mosfets will melt overtime, especially with 11.1vs, trigger safety broke very easily, and just a horribly done series overall. Also the ETU is well known for failing along the mosfet. The whole gun will melt.

      Interesting. Most people sing their praises. I'd like to check one out myself but they aren't really sold here.
