- I thought this would be a good video to show you guys some of the subtle differences between my BC Racing coilovers compared to these new Ceika coilovers that I just got from France. I have a unique opportunity to compare them while i'm not under contract with anyone so thought why not!?
I have loved my BC's for many years, and have nothing bad to say about them as a product or a company, but change is good. I love my Ceika brakes so much, and figured if their coilovers are half as good as the brakes then I will love them as well, so its time to give them a test!

I would just like to say I am a HUGE fan not that you will see this but you a big inspiration I want to get into drifting and rally racing sooo bad but I just don’t have the money but when I do your a big reason on why I want to push that dream so bad

What's the reasoning behind the ball-style top mount over just a cup that holds the spring to the top hat?
It's for McPherson strut style front suspension that uses the coilover as a load member of the suspension meaning the strut will pivot as the suspension compresses so it needs to be able to move/rotate. Cheaper/older coilovers will just put a rubber bushing in there to allow it to flex and deflect while the suspension compresses but that will wear out and cause a slight change in alignment as it deflects under load.
@@FieldingShredder so the ball joint on the lca is not enough flexibility under compression?
@@refracted6349 it is but they both pivot and at different rates and angles

you can see at 11:25 that the Ceika rear doesnt really have more threads, they end after like 40mm.
It's about 2.5x more thread engagement on the Ceika sticker same ride height, but both are safe

So just my experience, but I tried Ceika coilovers and will never buy them again. The most horrific and dramatic ride quality i have ever had, and returning them was of course not possible after not being driveable. I tried everything, talked with Ceika but nothing helped. Don’t buy them, just don’t. Please
I was curious to what year, make and model vehicle did you purchase them for and was it for daily driver, occasional track, or strictly track?
