I use a similar script and teach it but the problem that most people don’t give a deep answer. They will answer with something on the surface and when you try to dig deep you will come as a sales guy or just pushing them to open also may lead to them closing. And this is when they kind of feel comfortable on the call. So prior to this script you have to build trust and authority to come as someone that can solve a problem. Without this the script won’t work.
Such a good insight. As you mentioned, building trust first before the call allows you to dig deep and ask those questions without sounding too "salesy".
A while back, I was on a call, and someone was trying to sell me a design course. The guy was very friendly, but I think he kept asking too much about my goals, dreams, aspirations, where I want to be in 5 years etc. Nothing wrong with questions but for someone I just met, this was too deep and sounded too scripted lol
great ovservation@@jehutia
In other talks Chris gives he also says you don't want just any customer, it's a lot easier to sell to someone who actually wants your services, maybe that also just isn't the right client
Chris does mention in the video that part of the equation is that his training coach started with consistently posting content, building a following and achieving defined six pack abs to create social proof to build trust and authority
I disagree. I bet your tonality is way off so they’re give a surfaceanswer. The if you ask the question more considered, a little slower with some inquisitiveness behind it and emphasise the main word in the question. You’ll usually always get a deeper answer. Asking it quickly or like a normal question will get you a surface answer
I spent ten years as a new car sales rep. This is pretty much what I did. It's a numbers game but it does work. Try it for yourself.
A heart to help + 10/10 certainty/conviction of what you sell + emotional connection (being present) + the right questions/script = A great salesman
This is the most typical high ticket / consultative sale there is and it is that way because it works.
We call the 1-10 a temp check. Then we get 3 micro commitments about the program and all of a sudden you have an alignment / consitency issue. If they can commit to 1, 2 and 3 and they just explained away their reasoning. By not doing the program they are out of alignment.
And since most people say 7 or 8 we just ask them why not a 2. Gives them a nice gap to fill.
Another great question instead of just why... Is "why is this important now?"
Nice will have to add that one to the list. Thanks for sharing.
GENIUS! Thanks for this BTS breakdown!
Chris, need a laugh?.. I’m a regular consuming of your content. I was so drawn in watching this video as you were describing how your trainer closed you, I overflowed my coffee cup… By a lot! I mean who closes Chris Do? 😂
I like how we can still use boards instead of a fancy computer made presentation to share whats inside our minds. As always you did an excellent job, Chris. Especially drawing those abs.
Haha you can't draw those kinda of abs on a fancy computer.
Genius sales script! The best part is when you were asked why it is not lower on a scale of 1 to 10. It reinforces why the person buying feels they need to make the sale. Most people would expect to be asked why it is not higher-but that would reduce the chances of a successful sale.
Dan Pink
Chris Do, I feel like you and Myron Golden, should collab on a interview with eachother where you 2 interview eachother, or talk sales and creativeness, I can't think of any other 2 people that would create greater value if they put their minds together. Either way, love your content.
"Why isn't your score lower" is directly from Daniel Pink's 'To Sell is Human'
Maybe that’s where it comes from.
That was a perfect example of combining your passion with business!
I appreciate that!
I need the full version of this workshop too. They're so good
Hey, thank you Chris. :)
Sales calls prevent me sometimes from buying 🤣🤣🤣
This was good though
This is how much I love you. I wanted like your video at 9' of watching. Right after the coaching story because I felt like giving you back the support and love younre giving us. Now I'll go through the end of the video.
Wowww...loved it simple direct and clear. Gonna add it to my arsenal. Thanks you so much for sharing this
Beautiful! I'm taking notes like crazy.

Love that. Anyone here used the discount for full payment on a branding project before?
1-3% discount is an average industry standard for full payments.

Chris Do should walk out to Hero by the Foo Fighters every time. "There goes my Hero, watch him as he goes!"
Imagine pairing this up with a scorecard. Thanks Chris and The Futur.
Imagine intelligent prospects. Done. Manipulation game comes crushing down.
He did the Alex Hormozi tactic to real you in ... smart guy
This was Golden 🏆
…if you want to create annoyed prospects, sure.
Why would they be annoyed?
@@TheOrignalTRockz So you think to ask smart questions and make them think deeper is annoying 🤦♀️ In which world you live really? 🤔
From the description of the gym trainer...I am pretty sure he is talking about Alex Hormozi
He is a master sales guy indeed
It’s not.
He should've asked the other 2 girls sitting in the front row the same fitness questions. 😂
Which question?
Rude comment why because they’re not thin ?
This guy is 51 and looks crazy young.
Thank you
Hi Chris,
How are you doing Hope you are doing well. I wanna learn sales techniques for upwork and fiverr , where I m suppose to learn these techniques
that's a strange place to learn sales techniques.
❤
Hey Chris, I WONDER!!! What's that @72 in Poster???
It’s my new clothing brand. More to come.
@@thefuturWOW! waiting for it😍
What if your original importance was 3 instead of 8? How would you combat that
Heyy!! Team @Futur why don't you buy digital board..?? 🤔
We have one.
Ohh sorry!!
Do you think that these questions would work for an online questionnaire?! Or just verbal sales class !?
Try it.
Well dang, I think I've been messing up on the honesty part of all these years. I probably intimidate way too much - there's a lot of work involved in getting fit and I let athletes know that up front and in all my content.
Adobe Podcast?
Adobe Max
What are the free resources ?
The sales script Chris shared in the video.
Hey Chris did something happened to your voice? Or is it the mic sound? You sounded kinda different from other videos
mic issues.
Why did you commited for monthly instead of full 9 months?
I committed to the 9 months but paid monthly.
The last part😂
Are you committed for 9 months? He fell right inro the trap😂
Yes he did!
Was this person Alex hormozi ?
No
I was skeptical about Chris when I started watching his videos, but I gotta be honest. His expertise has really helped me.
We’re here to change minds 💙🧠
@@thefutur and you are rocking
Adobe podcast AI is sooooo noticeable on the audio
What makes it obvious
I'm watching you after couple of years. I don't know your audio quality went down or you've changed your speaking style. It's hard to concentrate on what you're saying
Some mic issues and in a loud environment
Haven't watch a video of Chris Do is years. He looks and sounds completely different. Used to sound very composed and commanding. He sounds all over the place here. Looks like he's lost a lot of weight too.
This is unscripted whiteboard.
I hear what you say and it's excellent. It does however seem that you don't feel fulfilled. Are you? If not I can help in a way you don't know yet or you already feel fulfilled and I have nothing to share. Lmk.
Trainer: It's $4,500, but if you pay now it's $4,000
Me: That sounds great, I'm broke. Sorry to waste your time.
Can't sell to people who can't afford basic living.
True but he clearly doesnt take calls without vetting the person first
Plus if its something you need you might put it on credit long term. Health > money??
You’re selling to the wrong people.
Chris, you sound high😂
Chris doesn’t look his age at all!!! 😄
Thank you
This guy KNEW you. You had a PERSONAL relationship/friendship in some way. DIFFERENT story. Any professional sales is laughing its a** off… marketing guys teaching sales. That’s nothing but a bad joke. 3 minutes in an nothing but blah, blah, the small 1x1 and more blah, blah… breaking news: prospects are smart and see through your little attempts of manipulati them into buying. And guess what you create in that very moment: objection. Congrats.
Are you angry about something?
@TheOrignalTRockz I know you are sick. Get well soon ❤️🩹
0:50 can someone explain why this dude has tape on his hat?
He bought it like that.
@@thefutur why? I’m honestly curious. Unless you’re being serious and that someone sold a hat with tape over the logo?
Reminds of when you see someone on TV and the producers force them to tape over the logo.
There are great ideas in there, but am personally quite uncomfortable with the amount of lying involved. It seems to against what you stand for in other videos and your advice about listening
which part is lying? it's not really lying because if you ask too much from people at the start they won't do the work they need to achieve their goal.
@@thefutur Still, you specifically use the word “LIE” @ 8:03 and 8:10. There's a reason for that.
11:26 "100% fake"
12:00 " 'I got a lead magnet'… which wasn't true. Yours should be true, [because] I got no lead magnet, no resource there".
Again, I understand the business argument, and why it's an effective script. And yes, clients may get scared off if they only focused on the amount of work needed before starting.
But it's also a LOT of falsities. In some industries it would definitely be classified as false advetisement and cause for legal action. And I'm pretty sure you yourself wouldn't be comfortable promising stuff to clients while knowing it's false/not how it will happen/not what you'll do.
I've seen enough videos from you about listening (I mean, there's even a video from the same event about listening and serving!) to feel pretty confident in making that assumption.
Idk, maybe cultural conditioning is a part of it -- generally speaking we're more adverse to these sales tactics this side of the Atlantic than most American people are. But I personnally have issue with this aspect of the script.
Chris looks a bit tipsy 🍸😅
I do. considering I'm straight edge that would be funny.
Well, so every single comic book publisher should learn this. OR...
It does not apply to all industries.
He drunk lmao
u dont love us.....u lust us. lol
Haha
12:07 THIS is VERY manipulative and toxic. Playing with people's behaviour. If you would use that on me, I would hate you and you would destroy your reputation
It was applied to me and I was grateful. To each their own.
For someone who made tons of money by just talking you'd think he had better diction by now
Aren't you nice. Thanks for the support.
seems unethical
What seems unethical about it?
@@thefutur He did lie to create "artificial scarcity". I would consider lying to make money unethical.
