Chip #2 is done (and features an on-camera appearance this time), but we're holding it until we debut a series of first-time guests before we do follow-up episodes with some of the others
The unadulterated clip is from a bizarre foreign film which was out of sync and looked and sounded terrible.. We took the segment with Davy and re-vamped it visually and sonically. The idea was to salvage the rare performance of French Song ,and make it into something more palatable and complimentary.
@@TheMonkeesPadPODCAST A great song and well done! If I am to trust that you meant "complimentary" and not "complementary," you mean you didn't charge Davy or the viewers for having done this? I wouldn't think you would. I do think your treatment of this and your salvaging's result was quite complementary. Your sentence structure seems to indicate you meant the latter.
They all had different music styles. Davy has a great show tunes voice.
FYI, this is from the film “ Lollipops, Roses and Talangka” released in 1971, and also stars a very, very young Don Johnson.
After 12 years, I still miss Davy.
I think he sadly passed away in 2012 so that's 9 years not 12.
@@lisaann2240 You're right!. It's been 9 years.
10 years
@@Theasworld1984 I corrected myself last year

@@TheMonkeesPadPODCAST understandable. look forward to it!!
I have always liked this Davy track. It has a universal appeal that could have translated better if the Monkees' circumstances were different..
Whats the story behind this?
