I've never seen this before! It's almost surreal... What on earth is Lollipops and Roses??

I've never heard of this song, but it's very pretty, and Davy adds his sweet, expressive touch to it. By the way, Davy was about 25 at this time [1971]. I'd love to see the movie.

A great song and fascinating clip. The movie poster misspelled Davy's first name.

Heard this on the radio a couple of years back. At first , funnily enough , I thought it was that other young Davy Jones - the one who had to change his name to Bowie .

This is such a bizarre video ... he goes and hits on a 13year-old in front of her parents.

I love Davy and this song but I found it a bit creepy he was actually singing it to a little girl and winking at her. Even though he looks very young and very cute. LOL

I got the same impression too especially since he was married with 1 child and another one on the way at the time too, I believe David Pearl was managing Don Johnson at the time as well so I always thought maybe that's why Davy was also in the movie

I can see what you mean however it can also be taken quite differently .. as if he’s telling her a story...

I think it was more of a wink telling her every thing will be ok not flirting

In real life, she was actually 17 when they shot the film and 18 when the film was released. The actress's name is Nora Aunor and she is a famous Filipino actress

It’s a weird video but I didn’t find it creepy because there’s no context and Davy would would follow script notes to “sing seductively to minor girl.”
