    Hey man I feel you pain and suffering. I have chronic eczema too and I've been screwed over by big pharma. Steroid creams and prednisone had left my skin looking really bad. I'm on month 6 now of no meds and it's been a horrible road but I have found a diet and some diet tips that work for me. Have you ever took an igg test? Also are you into supplements? Like fish oils and what not? I would like to share with you what I've been doing if it helps. This disease sucks and we need to help each other out.

      I'm allergic to fish so I can't really take fish oils, but I find that a lot drinking water helps!!

      LaidbackMarco have you had an igg test done?? What this is is a food sensitivity test, it revealed to me I am sensitive to a lot of things that I had no idea, super sensitive to coconuts, soy, and pistachios. This test pin points what type of damage your gut has endured and what makes it leak.

      LaidbackMarco see with eczema it's not that you are allergic to these foods that cause your skin to inflame but sensitive too there is a difference this test will reveal a lot. When I took it there were some foods that I was like damn I ate that and broke out and they where things that people say are health for you, like kale for example, I'm sensitive to that and if I eat too much I will have a flare up.

    I might start it soon, mainly beacuse of my skin discoloration and raised skin scars that never fade. Just wondering if you can give me some tips on when it's best to identify to stop it? How long until I know? Because I heard that you used it for a while before you stopped

    • @LaidbackMarco
      @LaidbackMarco  Před 6 lety

      I used it for almost six months with no problems before it started to mess wiht my eyes and eyelids. . . for me the eye problems were more concerning than my eczema ever was so that's when i decided to stop it, but some patients were okay with dealing with conjunctivitis so its really up to you. Currently I'm on a steroid lotion i mix myself that my derm recommended me and it works pretty good for the most part

      Did they offer you treatment for your eye problems? I started on Dupixent a month ago and eye problems started quite soon after. I was immediately prescribed ProTopic for my eyes and it had cleared up within a few days. So back on track at the moment. (I am one of the few patients in Europe (Netherlands) on this drug. There are only 3 of us in my hospital).

    Did you stop it because of the eye side effects?

    • @LaidbackMarco
      @LaidbackMarco  Před 6 lety

      jon p yes it was more than just the pink eye it was more similar to a really bad allergic reaction as my whole face was red and swelling

    Thanks for your Vlog.
    I was suffering from severe eczema for about 10 years and I've been on Dupixent for 2 full years in a medical trial with 300 mg every week.
    By the way I'm also a guitar player and I just wanted to mention that your guitar was very much out of tune in your video :-D - I can clearly hear this after your 3 first chords already :-D :-D
    Well, beside this I never had any side effects from Dupixent but now I'm off it since 3 months and skin starts making a bit of trouble again. Could happen that I'm allowed to get back on but next weeks appointment will show.
    Good luck to you!

      good luck to you as well! I'm sorry my guitar was out of tune. . . tuned it right before I was about to record, but then I practiced for 30 minutes. . .I play pretty aggressively so that might have done it! Anyway keep me updated. I'm sad I had to stop dupixent due to eye problems which still occur to some extent to this day T-T

    Honestly man, i think eczema drugs are bad long term. I've seen a lot of improvement with this natural holistic approach I've been doing and I still have a lot of healing still, but progress is being made. When I cut the prednisone cold Turkey I was covered in it, my entire body was rashed out. These drugs mask the inflammation but eventually it all needs to surface I feel, or at least that's what i can connect the dots on with what my healing process has been, everyone is different. It sucks there is no cure for this horrible disease :(

      I wish there was something we could point a finger at and blame or a reason why we have to suffer. . . I mean if we actually do live multiple lives and I've done terrible things in a past life well I could be satisfied, but we'll never know XP

      LaidbackMarco there is a holistic answer man! We just have to keep searching this suffering only adds to your character as a whole. For the better that is.
