Every time G2 loses, JKS' stock goes up. Same roster, same problems.

Also, to anyone who says "G2 would have beat NaVi/been in the finals/won the Major": why would it be different in Copenhagen compared to the two actual Majors he actually did play with the actual exact other 4 players who went to the semis with nexa in Copenhagen

For the first major that they didn't qualify with JKS he was in the team for like one month, if you expect them to qualify with a two new players and one of which is the new IGL in their first big test, you're delusional. Look at how hard Astralis crashed out of the major, despite acutally not being that bad for a team considering they did have a close match with Spirit at the RMR, that roster was together for like 4 months and had played some events.
As for the Paris Major, that was maybe the weirdest major ever because look at who the Final 8 were Heroic, FaZe, Vitality, Liquid, Apeks, GamerLegion, Monte, Into the Breach. Only four are really Tier 1 teams. GL had a freak event/performance. ITB got to semis and then either boke up or they sold their players and they had no business being there anyway. Apeks got carried by jL. Monte were a legitimately good Tier 2 team and have shown that after the major too but they got an easy run of teams to get to the playoffs, playing Fluxo, Mongolz and Pain, then in the legends stage they played FURIA who were fighting amongst themselves and broke up aftewards, fnatic who had the same problems and Na'Vi who had expiring contracts. The seeding for that major was absolute garbage. G2 on the other hand had to play Vitality (the team that eventually won the major), Bad News Eagles who pretty much only bootcamp for the major and always play well at the major, FURIA who I explained were garbage at this point and fnatic who were also breaking up but had capable players, plus if you even go back and look at the stats for that game, G2's best player was JKS and everyone else on G2 underperformed. I fail to see how JKS is the problem when everyone else absolutely shit the bed on G2 in that match, particularly Nik0 and m0nesy who should've just smurfed all over fnatic as supposedly both Top 7 players in the world.

That major finals, nexa played a totally different role he was the IGL and the roster was different, they had Amanek too. At least in the comparison I made, only nexa was the difference in the roster and he was specifically picked to replace JKS. Secondly for this latest major, G2 had no business being there, they would've lost to VP likely had the whole NVIDIA driver crash not happened, they were losing the momentum in that map and they had like no money too in the final two rounds of the game. There's a huge asterisk next to that performance.Regardless, they did beat Mouz so there's at least that but honestly they would've lost earlier in my opinion and suffered a 9-11th placing which is nothing to write home about.

the only teams in the top 20 that could add JKS and realistically improve are probably complexity and ence; that's it. longshot would be vitality, but I don't think mezzi is an issue; vitality's issue is their coach. that being said, hltv forums don't really talk about JKS all that much anymore. His name only flooded the forums when he was first dropped because it was so surprising considering what G2 had achieved with him (winning 2/3 of the biggest tournaments of the year); combine that with lack of news and of course that's all you'd see for a short while. It's the same with the donk threads.

@@zilliq-qz5uw look at his history. He was blessed with being the coach of zywoo. Still, he managed to mess that up with the signing of kyojin. He coached g2 when they were led by aleksib and somehow managed to get the community to blame aleksib for g2’s struggles. He then created the current TSM roster that is languishing in tier 5. Now this new vitality still has not come close to the peaks they had under zonic. His only real success as coach came when his former teammate Alex was igl of vitality. I don’t know if he has a tactical mind for the game, his teams haven’t really shown it, but it’s clear he’s not good at roster building considering all his roster moves have weakened the teams he’s been part of.

4:28 I agree it is a little exaggerated, but he has proven he can perform in Katowice; he has won the tournament as a stand-in with little to no practice with the FaZe roster, played two different roles within that tournament, and then on top of that, won it the next year with G2 with a 1.24 HLTV throughout the entire tournament. Considering G2 could not win anything previously then win Kato and Cologne with JKS, I understand the high praise.
Praise was earned and deserved. G2 didn’t win anything for years. They always got close but never won. They bring in jks and m0nsey and become a consistent top team and win events. Jks is a good player who should be in t1. Nexa for jks is a downgrade. It should have been Hooxi that was replaced. Hunter has also been awful since cs2. He and Hooxi should be the ones getting the boot but can’t kick Niko’s cousin.
