out of that entire old astralis lineup, device was the last one id ever consider for IGL
He’s very vocal in game though so I’m not too surprised he wants a crack. But in terms of stress and his health 100% he doesn’t seem like a good fit
@@jamesdale6792 yes but we've seen this scenario with so many players. stewie2k, shox, nbk, electronic, niko, all of them are vocal and have tried igl-ing but all of them failed. players like device know how to make calls around themselves but it doesn't mean they can make calls for other players. also it doesn't help that he tweets mid tournament that he doesn't enjoy the game. no one asks you if you enjoy the game if ur the igl, they just look at the teams results and clown on you. i don't think blameF enjoyed losing to 9pandas and not being at the major but evidently no one cares if he did.
@@deekayy3222All the players you mentioned, including device are what I termed "paper IGL". Its basically where your coaching stuff does all the work, the analysis of demo, the pointing out of mistakes, the strat making, etc. And they print it out on a piece of paper, device reads off of it and there we get device igl role. I dont think he will put the main grunt work of working with ruggah to anaylse demo together, try to figure out positions of players who feel good in while also making sure rhey are having good impact, the adaptability, most importantly I don't think device possess the out of game ability of being a leader for the team, of course I could be all wrong and device becomes the next karrigan/glave, but I am doubtful

Man, I remember the first years of Karrigan in Faze after just got kicked out from Astralis. Everytime Faze vs Astralis, he turned into a different beast and lead the team like he has 5 heads, he made allu and kio look super good.
i would be so sad if karrigan ever went back to astralis. used to be a die hard astralis fan but their organisation have really showed there true colors after their results went sour.

Admitting that you can make the wrong assumptions about a player is very important, respect to you for doing just that when you get it wrong.
Very mature of you to clarify the situation surrounding BlameF and elaborate on the reasons why he have been under performing in Astralis. Personally I think he is a great player and I hope he goes to Heroic 👍

Not sure if it was mentioned in the comments here (or somewhere else), and take this with a grain of salt, but: kyxsan said on his appearance on HLTVConfirmed that gla1ve will basically never go back to joining Astralis. Of course he might feel differently in a year or so but I think he understands what he has in ENCE and maybe he knows better than to go back to Astralis, even though it's where he won the most.
Honestly I don't have anything against the players, which is usually the reason I root against teams, but after following your reporting about astralis for even a small amount of time, I literally love it when they lose. It would kill me to see a goat like karrigan go play for them.
So I know this is out of context for this video, but I figured I'd just put this idea on your latest video because it would be more likely you'd read it.
Possible solution for the sticker money making the RMR more important than the major:
- instead of sticker money being based on the capsule, take all the sticker money into a pool
- 10% of the pool is distributed to the bottom 8
- 30% of the pool is distributed to the middle 8
- 60% of the pool is distributed to the top 8
- all money from the champions capsule goes to the winner of the major
This way there is always incentive for teams to try as hard as possible throughout the entire tournament. Winning the RMR for smaller teams won't be more important than winning the major, because they won't get as much money unless they make it to the next stage. What are your thoughts on this idea?

I would love for Karrigan to get another shot at working with Device be it at FaZe or Astralis (Preferably not Astralis because FUCK that organisation forever). I think Karrigan and Device were together at too early of a point in their respective careers and both have since gone on to achieve incredible things. Seeing as how many great teams have been spearheaded by top AWPers, I really think Karrigan could get Device back to his peak days and I think in return, Device could help Karrigan achieve further greatness.

Didn't Astralis want Valde but he was signing with EG and then EG shat the bed and Astralis changed their mind, so he went to ENCE which seems to have ended his career.
It was almost like Astralis got their knickers twisted because he didn't jump at the chance to join them.

I feel that Karrigan will switch to coaching when he leaves FaZe. He already hinted at his replacement at FaZe with one eye on MOUZ (as usual) with Siuhy his replacement at FaZe.
He could follow Xyp9x' lead and go do an apprenticeship under a coach like SAW, although it would have been poetic for him to be the one to go to MOUZ.
the last ENCE games in the March 2024 major were horrible to watch. The team was so lost ...

brother at the time of writing ur comment they beat a few teams in a tournament where it takes place right after the major. Would you consider iem dallas last year the highest competition? they beat 2 teams in a groupstage where they had all time in the world because they failed to make the major

@alexs5368 if Hoox was as good an IGL as Glaive, no one would care. Xyp might be that good, he might not, we won't know until he's properly given the responsibility

One plus for MSL if Device fails and completely retires, instead of just giving up the IGL role, is that MSL is known to be quite the awper, even winning the direct head to head vs Device himself
