I hope Richard gets to be a desk host at all the PGL events coming up in the following years, he did a fantastic job at the major

This x100 + PLEASE gimme Thorin too as well as both at StarLadder/StarSeries/i-League(whatever they choose to call it). Thorin and Richard on a desk is always top tier content and they can make technical issues nonexistent as they can carryover all the time.
That is why is the GOAT. Not Janko, not spunj, RICHARD IS THE GOAT. Second to him is Thoorin. Two very important figures in the esport world!

It's so cool. If you compare how he acts, how he talks, what he emphasizes, its clear that nothing he said on yesterday's stream was a lie. And I'm so happy for him.

Honestly, Richard's delivery with longform videos is some of the easiest to listen to out of any creator, streamer or CZcamsr.

It's why I keep watching his content even though I've not touched CS in probably 2 years, kinda gutted I didn't know he was hosting again as I'd have checked it out.

Richard's talk about "making the analysis desk great again" was so fascinating. I had also felt for a long time that there's something wrong with the desk segments as of late, that they're dry, dull, and boring, which was a shock to me because when I started watching pro CS (days of Rich and Duncan and Yanko and Moses on desks) desk segments were my favourite part, looked forward to even more than the game. But not being an expert in TV production I couldn't understand what's missing or why that is the case. But Rich explained it perfectly and, amazingly, HIS METHOD WORKS. I LOVED these desk segments and it was so good to see analysts like Pimp and Maniac which I used to think were on the dull side be so great and entertaining as well as knowledgeable. That segment with the depressed and angry Maniac after the first map of the Vitality vs. Faze series killed me.
Great to have you back Rich, no one does it quite the same.

This was the first time in a long time that I've actually paid attention to pre-game desk segments. I always stay after the game for the post-game analysis but just never really cared about the prediction and matchup info. But your hosting was just so entertaining and captivating. Here's to hoping for more RL appearances!

I always held Richard in high regard, but him coming out in such a longform Video and talking about his mental health issues and how that affected his Work and his life in general for the worse is really smth. to applaud and tipping our hat for. You do such a great job hosting and its kinda weird to see you that professional and serious at the Major, when I usually see you on your CZcams page :) Reminds me on the (at least for me) golden ages of CSGO, like your gig at Eleague. Looooooong time fan, rare commenter. I wanted to congratulate you for being hired after I saw your Twitter post about it, but it completely slipped my mind by the time I was able to do it. I can honestly say - it felt like the major itself became 30% better just by you being there. You always stay objective, you are a model professional, you have the knowledge, you command respect of your peers, you have the required charm for a host position. And, the fact that you were there gives me hope. There still are other people in this community (other than you) who know what they are doing, and will make the correct choices. Hope you had a blast. Hope to see you hired at the next major too!

Big shout to you for being able to be public about your MH/SUD stuff. It's does volumes for the community to know they aren't the only ones going through it and the haters can fuck themselves. As a drug/alcohol counselor and person who n recovery I'm super proud of you for your progress towards recovery. Doubt you'll see, or need it, but HMU if you ever need to speak about addiction/recovery.
I may not be your biggest fan, but your work at the Major was outstanding, you've made everyone on the stream articulate their ideas and answers based on interesting questions, and not just some chit chat between games. PGL made a great move bringing you and everyone recognizes that.

I had forgot about how great desks used to be. This brought back lot of memories. Hope it goes back to that again.
The bit about having a dynamic desk is so accurate from a viewer perspective, for both casuals and enthusiasts. For the most part, I switch off during analysis segments, especially with ESL events because it feels so static and like I'm sitting in a classroom being lectured to. I can watch a demo at home, its not exactly the most entertaining thing to over-analyse how some new smoke is slightly more effective.
I usually go to events with my dad and brother, both casual fans. Usually as soon as analysis segments start between maps, they pull out their phones and start watching the rugby or some shit. They barely know who Rich is but both at Stockholm and Copenhagen they instantly were like "oh, i like this guy" simply because of the more fluid format for the analysis desk he runs. In a way, it almost feels like you're part of the conversation. Whatever you noticed about the map that was just played will probably be brought up by one of the guys on the desk where the others will argue against it. Thought you did a great job at the major Richard, was one of the best CS events ive been to in a while.
i agree. soon as mauisnake or kassad get on its like "hey why isnt the camera on me?" "no no it needs to be on me" then its just a dickfest of who can be louder or say the more outlandish things.
Hearing you on the desk while tuning in to the major everyday was one of the highlights from this major
Loved the desk segments at this major, everything was super on point from both hosts and the analysts. Only thing I noticed was sometimes the crowd was mixed super loud during desk segments and I missed what the analysts said sometimes.
