Not sure how many years but the Baja's predate the Coleman 200's which were around the 2014 date you mentioned. I'm not sure which sold the most but I do know that the 200U was selling like crazy 2016 through most of 2017. You could get them from Walmart as low as $199 on sale and $250 on sale was common during that period of time.
For what you get, the Trailmaster MB-200-2 is the best value and the best performing. I drove 90 miles to pick one up that was already assembled by professionals (eliminating any assembly issues for the customer) and was ready to ride when I got home. Checked the oil, gassed her up and away we went! I run premium in mine, as it burns cleaner than mid-grade. Not looking for top-end speed, but I ordered a 60t sprocket to replace the 46t for better low-end torque and climbing, along with a 420 chain. I'll back out the throttle screw and remove the air filter cover to increase air flow. Like Lou says, modifying or removing the governor will only create problems down the road, unless you're willing to spend lots of money on engine upgrades. 35 mph is fast enough for this guy. I might even hit 40 after removing the throttle screw and air filter cover. Have fun and be safe!
Agreed! If you have the budget for it, the Trailmaster is an amazing bike in almost every way. The only “issue” is they feel a little boaty due to the heavier frame and longer wheelbase, but that comes with a Cadillac too. If you can’t afford that kind of luxury, the BT200 is a good solid frame and occasionally goes on sale for $500 at Camping World.

Yes, that is the blue one. They also sell a Trailmaster Hurricane that is the same thing only adds a front disc brake.
