    Lol! Nice job Claire, you nailed the excitement level perfectly. This is literally all my channel is about. Big fan of your adventures! I'm always on the hunt for one to modify. I put the fender on but cut it shorter and straight across so it looks custom, then put an led brake light on the back frame (they are like $10 for a rechargeable one that has a rubber strap to hold on). Then, where the reflector is put a nice Claire sticker on there. Always makes a fun, quick and easy video too. Maintenance videos are killing it too. The carburetor that came on the bike had a drain bolt on the bowl but did not have a bolt or any means to actually remove the bowl to clean tiny jets and other tiny components inside the carburetor. I basically had no choice but to toss the original carb in the garbage. It was just impossible to get access to the area that needed to be clean. But there is a vast and plentiful stock of carburetors to choose from on multiple websites with low prices. I choose one from Amazon came with the carb, fuel filters, air filter, spark plug fuel lines and all for under $20

    I just got this bike used today and it's awesome. Since it's used. I really don't know what is considered normal or not since I was a kid when I had my Mini Bikes and they have come a long way as far as size. First off it starts to vibrate at higher almost full throttle speeds. I am not sure if this is to be expected but it does make me kind of concerned like something isn't quite right. Then I looked closer and the throttle is being held with a zip tie about 1" loop where it connects the cable to near the throttle body . Right under the gas tank so I cant really see what's going on...looks like they did a quick fix and didn't bother replacing a broken cable (that's assuming without getting in closer to see).
    Ohh and the chains were dry so I just sprayed WD-40 since that's the closest thing I have to an oil...I know it's not really considered oil but until I get proper oil I used it. It is quite noisy...I know they were back in the day but I only had a single chain direct to the clutch. Not the extra chain nor the chain tensioner and spindle. It sound like a spun bearing to be honest but the engine sounds great and normal. Is the noises from all the chain stuff normal? Other than that I hope my kids enjoy it as much as I do.

      The "Governor" on these bikes is simply just a small black screw that can be adjusted to increase or decrease the desired amount of maximum throttle allowed. This is particularly useful when allowing younger and less experienced riders to operate the bike safely and unable to achieve higher speeds.. But if you are the only one riding it then just unscrew it all the way.

    • @melloyellogsxr
      @melloyellogsxr Před 3 lety +2

      The uneven acceleration you described is most likely caused by inefficient air/fuel mixtures. I would suggest removing and cleaning the carburetor (if you never cleaned a carburetor before then it would be in your best interest to ask someone knowledgeable for assistance) also cleaning and replacing the air filter will improve the performance. Also try and keep in mind that these are in no way high performance engines and the delivery of the power band can vary wildly. There are things you can do to help improve the performance of the power band but tuning it to run with precise and predictable power delivery like you would see in a Dirt Bike is beyond this bikes ability

      on the pavement there are no problems. I haven't tested any big hills on trails yet but it manages small to mid range hills on trails very well. Biggest issue is when it has rained or snowed and then its real slick
