Thanks for taking one for the team!! (you bought it so we don't have to) Also a word of caution. If you ever charge the battery do it outside! With the proliferation of electric bicycles and scooters fires from exploding battery's are becoming more and more common.
My scooter would have burned my house down while charging in the garage IF I was not home and did not see it!!! Annnnnd while my insurance was LAPSED!! House paid off. It took 3 fire extinguishers to put out. I had to use LOTS of fans to get the TOXIC smoke out of my house and away from my pets. And the fire was INTENSE almost like a blow torch.

This is why you ensure your battery pack has quality cells or the brand that packed them is genuine. Yet its always wise to ensure the battery is charging in safe conditions + have a bucket of sand on hand.
Funny you mention the connection between light feeling and cheap electronics, I recently opened up a cheapo BT controller form Walmart and found two roughly 19mm nuts sitting inside it, seemingly just to add weight to it. 😂 It did make it feel more expensive though.
I had an airsoft sniper back in the day which was weighted pretty well. well, turns out after opening it up that it had four bars of mystery metal enclosed in the stock! definitely made it feel nicer having them in than out. when I tried it with them removed, it was a fair bit lighter but also very front-heavy due to the metal barrel.
@@TheJunky228 Typically they use lead, its cheap, its super dense so its good for added weight, and if a child eats it then China is happy.
But on a serious note, as long as its not taken apart it does make the most sense of any metal to use, though I sometimes remove weights in computer mice for example (though one I took a Dremel to and skeletonized it, another I've even drilled lightening holes in the PCB, and I've 3d printed light weight spoked mouse wheels then drilled even more holes). Every airsoft that I've seen weights it was always lead (you can mark a piece of paper with it).

I love your channel. I watch it every morning while I get ready for work. You guys are awesome. Watching always puts me in a good mood for the day because it always makes me laugh. I used to ride all the time until I had kids. I actually traded my last gsxr for a mini van because I needed to be able to fit all my kids in one vehicle. Watching your videos makes me want a motorcycle again soooooo bad but I just can't afford one with 3 teenage boys. The lord works in mysterious ways though, so maybe one day I'll get lucky and find a bike i can afford and I'll be able to feel that fantastic freedom you get from riding again. Until then I'll keep watching and live vicariously through you guys. Keep making the awesome videos, and I'll keep watching. Much love, Noah from Cleveland TN
Dude, I so need an electric bike. I’ve rode bikes all my life but due to an autoimmune disorder which took me out of the work force and forced me into retirement I’m living on a fixed budget now. I’m 51y old 6’3” 250 lbs so buying something I could afford is just a dream. If you ever have anything that needs a little work or are planning on junking please keep me in mind. Your channel gets me pumped up watching you have so much fun. 🤩 great job guys.

I got a ristretto for about 4k and it's been 100% amazing. It works like a champ. Top speed I hit is 44mph, and you can go off road due to the 500$ suspension on rear and forks. Dude you shold buy one and review it!

I find my interests growing towards these e-motos, it's a shame that my wallet doesn't align with that. Then again, your videos have helped me satisfy alot of curiosity towards these emergent vehicles. I like the look of that e-bike.

E scooters are better than e bikes currently because bikes are supposed to be fuel based not electric. May be in the future hydrogen could be of use in a vehicle so it could have more mileage

8:13 So true. I bought a really cheap Bluetooth controller that was so light and just felt really cheap, so I opened it up and taped two lead fishing sinkers into the parts where your hands rest. Suddenly it felt waaaaaay more expensive lol
Since we are all grown man... the best thing ever... Forklift (the indoor one, the one with solid (no tread) wheels) + bubblewrap.... you see where i'm going with this... and yes I DID IT!

What I don't understand is why, after designing and making something like this bike, or perhaps an electric scooter, or skateboard or whatever, they spoil it all by shoddy and slapstick assembly. While this bike/scooter or what ever you want to call it, might not work in the US or other places, it might be ideal somewhere else as a cheap and convenient form of transport, but it's let down by the lack of quality control. I bought a Kaboo Mantis scooter about a year ago and it had problems right from the start, all caused by whoever assembled it in the factory. (none of the electrical connecters pushed in properly). But since a scooter tech (yes, it is a thing!) went through it under warrantee (and at great expense to the shop that sold it to me) it's great and a cheap and easy way for me to get to work.

I have been looking for a street legal bike that is electric. I watched your zero bike video which got me thinking about buying an electric bike. I wanted more of an enduro style as I am planning on ising this for fishing excursions. Maybe you guys could do a video comparing a few versions of those bikes. That would really be cool to see.

60 kph = 35 mph 80 kph = 45 mph and 100kph = 60 mph, here in Oz we changed from Imperial to Metric in 1966 and for some odd reason I still remember the conversions.

even for an EV, the body design is definitely a cool look into the future of bikes. My dad would love this thing, he plays with these and says the batteries are intermittently swappable, and the sensors and code lines are fairly easy to change. Gotta love kinetic energy, p.s. love your guy's content and time taken for passage.

My off brand honda ruckus died in less than 6 months the bike came so fucked up and I contacted motobuys multiple time but they never responded now im back to walking and transit till i can fix it or afford something new moral of the story stay away from moto buys

Recently bought a scooter that does 35 km, which I x-framed and nodded even with a set of goggles pizanno headlights, is blue and even stuck on a batman decal. Use the original lights under side. Has 16" wheels and looks like a pepped up old man scooter. Now looking at acquiring a 120km ebike just for the back hub motor wheel as a replacement for the 350 watt one. More Q-branch and Central!

PRO TIP, with "Zip ties", you can use the Tail of the zip tie to probe open the backside of the latch that secures it.
You can basically shuffle them back and forth a bit till you get the tongue of that tip in and cause it to slip right off!
