Handheld industry has been super interesting to me because I've loved handhelds ever since I had my GBA when I was a kid. Handhelds have always had more appeal to me and the amount of innovation in the handheld scene is always interesting, no matter the era. I just want to see more companies enter this ring and I'm excited to see what others are doing. Currently I'm most curious about what Asus will change with the Asus ROG Ally 2 and how the MSI Claw will perform thanks to it's either Core Ultra 5 135 or Core Ultra 7 155. I'm still most worried about the Claw's battery life as Intel hasn't been known for efficiency or good drivers. Granted Intel Arc has improved significantly but their iGPUs still need to do better at low watts, like 5-10w TDP

    Great video 👍
Wanted to ask is it wise to use the power tool to set the battery charge lock at 80% to keep the battery health ? As i heard that plug-in has bricked the SD
Also what about the the dead pixles and burn in for oled ? There should be an update for download screen off, the burn in screen is a big concern for oled to be honest
    Would really appreciate your reply

I honestly don't see a path forward for cloud gaming as a complete service. It is completely a non starter for some genres of games, and those genres happen to be some of the most popular and lucrative genres.
It also is mostly unusable across the board in rural areas of first world nations and in developing nations where the biggest amount of growth in gaming is happening right now.
I see it as growing successful, but being stuck as a supplemental product. There is just no way to get around the lag, outside of having a server in every town in the world. Even if that was feasible it would probably be out of our lifetime before it reached a full market.
And who knows what is going on in the future, with VR possibly rising, even having a local server in your town streaming the game, it would introduce enough lag to disrupt a vomit free VR session. Not to mention the infrastructure to stream two simultaneous 5k 100FPS streams these devices need per user.

Streaming for gaming is a big no go for more that 90% of the world. It’s simply just not good enough. I would argue that it’s not good enough for 100% of the world. There is a reason that basically no one does it outside of just trying it out. Games are not movies or music they need to be interacted with and that interaction is time critical so introducing lag into the experience is a complete no go.
Handhelds that compliment you main device so you can continue to game on the go with reduced graphics and performance I think is a massive win for the actual gamers that care about this hobby and artform.

MS firing a lot of the internal disc-sales team means much less when they also didn't do that for Bethesda and ABK.
This and some other things have way to do with the Series S selling WAY more than the X, so it follows physical sales of Series' games are way down, so that means even more redundancy when purchase one big and one massive company who already have a lot of people for PR and getting physical products out there.

Totally agree on the streaming from my own hardware option. I've been using my XBox to stream games to my Steam Deck and I have to say it gives me more flexibility to play games. Probably Xbox gets into the handheld PC gaming hype or continue to make agreements with other hardware manufacturers to engage gamers to use GamePass / GamePass Cloud

I was this close to picking up the Rog Ally Z1E the other day (on sale again which makes me want to make the jump, I'm not sure I want to mess with open box) but then I saw the announcement/tease for the 2 coming out this year, and if it came out at the anniversary of the original's launch that would just be in June I believe, so now I plan to hold off on buying until I know the official specs of the new system.
I'm hoping cloud gaming gets substantially better by the time Wifi 7 becomes the norm. Idk

I'm pretty satisfied on my Ally tho even if they announce the Ally 2 it doesn't matter because that is just how gadgets is just like smartphones there is always gonna be newer and better device every year. But as long as it can play all my games in 1080p without a problem no need for a newer and more powerful device. I will only replace my Ally if it can no longer handle games which I thing will be 6 or 7 years from now.

When I built a gaming PC and moved away from console I sort of overlooked how PC game copies have been digital for some time now. Part of me regrets it. It's not future proof whatsoever. I feel like one day our Steam libraries will all be gone because of [insert excuse here]. But don't worry, you'll be able to rent games (i.e. own nothing) to play them all you want (and be happy).
I love the benefits of PC gaming, I like not having to buy all new hardware every generation with proprietary equipment and not having to cross my fingers for some form of backwards compatibility, but the physical copies are a HUGE selling point. Especially if you've been paying attention lately to....we'll just say "anti-consumer" trends. So as long as a game doesn't require online connectivity or cloud bs to play, launch or save, then it's going to be more future proof by nature.

We need super consistent Internet with several gigabytes per sec bandwidth with ultra low latency before Cloud gaming can even think of taking off. At the moment it's terrible compared to running the game on a PC or gaming Console.

Honestly streaming video games is going to be the norm soon but for me don’t mind game streaming specially pc games I would use shadow pc services and was amazing would run pc games on Rog ally and would run amazing can use the 120hz that the rog ally has and have maxed out settings along with that. But of course the only flaw that steaming has well is internet not everyone has super fast internet at home plus their is the other downside when you want to game on the go can’t do that because well you don’t have fast intent on the go either so if companies can figure that out I think would be great in the future but as of now not really worth it unless have fast internet at home.

If they make games streaming only and monthly subscriptions I will quit gaming. Although I don't think Nintendo will go on that path only the greedy companies like Sony, Google and Microsoft. I like playing my games without paying every month and just buy every games that I want without internet anywhere.

You are mixing GP and cloud and streaming together. Steam is a cloud-based service, actually - any digital download is. Most of GP now and for the foreseeably future is people downloading and running it locally.
Some of these mistakes are starting to get a little hard to ignore. Either you need to do way more research, or you are just the pretty face (and it IS pretty) and whoever is writing the scripts is a little out of touch.

BTW - it's odd to user various leaks and "leaks" and rumors and then later say that you don't really care about them or rely on them.
