Something I loved from your 4080 reviews that I really missed here is the temperature comparison with noise romalized. That way I was able to get an idea of cooling performance despite the reported noise levels. Basically to see which card is the quietest with the custom temp curves I will give them.
Another thing that would be awesome would be to see softwares, or at least talk about any specific issues you found with them.

Great video as always! I am very impressed by all these over engineered cards, especially the Asus and Suprim X models. I have the 4090 Suprim X model and talk about an over built card lol, love it though.
I know prices vary, but having a side-by-side of current pricing would have helped as well.

When you use the quiet bios setting, what does that do to temperatures? Obviously, if you slow the fans, it will be quieter, but hotter. How much hotter?

It would've been good to include the Asus ProArt 4080 Super to see what compromises (if any) they made to get it so much smaller than these other 4080s.

It's in my computer for the past two days. I can tell I'm delighted with it. Very silent, performances are great and temps are stellar (it rarely hits more than 67°C under load). I undervolted it to 915mv and nearly decreased its power consumption by 30% (around 227W on max load, aka 4K gaming and intensive Stable Diffusion).

Got the TUF OC because it was the only one available, liking it so far, only notice some slight coil whine under power virus / benchmark loads, other than that its ok
Im currently looking to get a 4080 super Founders Edition in belgium but im having a hard time finding one that doesnt cost 1600 euros. Are there any ideas when they come for a cheaper price?
My first impression of the Inno3D card was, "damn that is a slick looking card". Then I found out it still is a 2 slot card, just seems small besides the other monsters.😅

No word about used 16pin connector. Is it 12vhpwr or 12v-2x6? Common, I can use my own ruler to find out its width. But I can't do the same with connector. Because only way is to lose your warranty with card disassembly
I have a question regarding the power connector, do any or all of the cards you tested here have the revised and improved H++ 12V-2X6 connector instead of the lower wattage old design H+ 12VHPWR? As I heard rumours that manufacturers are still using the old connector even though PCI-Sig told them to use the new design instead as I was looking at getting a 4080 super but if their still using the old connector, think I'll then wait until the 5000 series is out.
Jetstream OC definitely has H++ markings on it's power connector(which means - it's the new one, old one had H+), just google "card_name pcb" and look at power connector for card you're interested in

I miss the ASUS Noctua version there. Do you know if there is any exterior difference between the normal and super version? I only see on the websites the word "super" on the boxes and strange prices. I don't trust myself to buy it. 🤨

Thank you for the great content comparing so many cards. I would have liked to get the Founders Edition, but they obviouslywent out of stock in the blink of an eye. I opted for the TUF Gaming OC, and your video has made me very content with my choice. 🙂AND I have the LEGO Bonsai tree too. 😆
but what about for example Ventus? I wonder if what you presented is all the possible models, and everything else is just a rename, or are there much more models here and it wouldn't be really feasible to check literally all of them?
I got the Gainward Panther 4080 Super, that was the cheapest, and quite happy with it. It is cool and quiet. It is almost the same as Palit in the video (they own Gainward).
They are pretty much same card.They using same heatsink/cooler on both cards, they weight same and have same dimensions. Btw i ordered gainward 4080s panther OC today too. Price here in czech republic is really good. Even better price/perf than 80% of 4070TI supers. No brainer for me.

Great video! This helped me make my choice. I'll be getting the Gigabyte model simply because of the recessed connector. I don't like RGB, but I assume I can just turn it off.

Depends on the quality of the PSU and your CPU choice really.
Id go with a good 850w or a ok 1000w, whatever you can get cheaper.
You probably could get away with a 750gold but to be on the safe side I'd upgrade.

I may actually be getting the TUF Gaming 4070 Ti BTF edition. No cable to worry about, and it'll complement a nice white build with the TUF Gaming BTF motherboard and a white Corsair 6500 case.
Why has the MSI GeForce RTX 4080 SUPER VENTUS 3X OC been discontinued on MindFactory?
Oh and don't forget the RTX5080 is only months away and will be way faster than the RTX4090 as the next generation always is way faster when you look at the Relative Performance Chart!!
i just bought 4080 Super from gigabyte OC version and its the beast. 55C at max :D gaming on ultrawide, everything ultra, raytracing, path and so in CP2077.
What is the purpose of dual bios can someone please explain??

How about idle power consumption? Rumors have it that MSI models are way too high like almost 2x, especially the Suprim
So I went and bought the Gigabyte Gaming Super model today. Will be adding this to my Ryzen 9 7950x3D build. I am slowly building and expect to finish around September. I wanted to get the two most expensive parts out of the way :) Thanks for the great informative video.

Would you guys pick 4080S over 4070TIS if it were 11% faster and 23% more expensive? thats pretty much my scenario: thats the relative performance difference in 1080p (medium value between like a hundred benchmarks I've collected around the internet these last days) and thats the price difference between both models here in my region. Is the 4080S better regarding future-proof or anything else? I think I gotta replace it as soon as I would have to replace a 4070TIS, in the setup it will be part of (7800x3d)... Im not seeing a reason to pick 4080 over 4070 today. Id like more opinions about that.

I ended up with an inno3d rtx4080super with an EOFY discount, which made it $250AUD cheaper than its RRP so I snagged that ASAP.

Does the quiet/normal bios switch have a difference in performance of the gigabyte cards? I dont really know how this dual bios works.
It’s just preset fan curve the p setting will keep your card cooler but with more noise the q setting will run about 5-10c hotter but will be less noisy. I usually just run p since I will be using a headset anyway.
The difference in clock speed for the dual bios cards in this roundup was pretty much margin of error (+/- 10MHz), basically it just changes the fan profile nowadays so you can swap between slightly cooler and louder, or slightly warmer but quieter. Both are fine and it's up to you.

something i have been wondering for a long time already (and cant find a "real" answer besides "buy when in need") is: since we got a bit of history of super/ti cards now, if one has no immediate need for a new graphics card, does it make sense to wait for super/ti cards to drop or does it make more sense to go for the "original" cards at launch?
afaik its always ~2years for a new series to launch and every other year it seems to be time for super/ti and whatnot - so what makes more sense for planning a new pc build?
Depends on your situation really. As a general rule, don't upgrade unless you have to or really want to. If you can wait, seeing what the next gen does isn't a bad idea either. But if you need a GPU, might as well enjoy it asap.

She said that the two Gigabyte cards were virtually the same, but the difference in Memory Temp was huge. How come?
I have the rog 4080 super and a 7900x and when I enable the GeForce fps and other utility’s that show up when gaming no matter what game I play it still has really low cpu and Gpu utilization percentage like around 40% for both. Still getting 100-130 fps on Tarkov and over 400 on fortnite on performance mode any idea if I should be worried
What resolution are you playing? Have you set your gpu power to max when being used for games?
If you game in 1440p then it's nothing, the 4070 ti super is the card that is the best for that resolution, so with a 4080 Super at that resolution you would never use it to the max. If you are 4k gaming at those numbers then something is probably not being used in NIVIDA settings, like Raytracing etc. Try a testing software to see gpu utilization or just play a game like Cyberpunk with Raytracing overdrive, stuff like that. But the reason the 4080 Super is so good is that it doesn't struggle to run most games on ultra, that's the while point of it. So you shouldn't ever worry that it should be struggling unless you are playing the most demanding games. Tarkov is just graphically buggy, not necessarily demanding.
Try some testing software or play a benchmark game like Alan Wake, Cyberpunk, Avatar etc. and then compare your prefomace to one of the million CZcams videos testing the card. Chances are if there is a difference then it's some settings in NIVIDA control panel disabling overriding the quality settings of the game, so check there first. Good luck!

overall I think the most decisive factor is PCIe slot width spec, because apparently even thinner cards are not thermally throttled or overly noisy here, while wasting covered PCIe slots can be a problem for enthusiast builds

Amazing, thanks! I By the way, can anyone help me with a problem I've found upgrading my brother's PC. He bought a Mobo Gigabyte Gaming B760 X AX and some other components. Everything was going great but we hit a wall trying to install his old GPU Asus RTX 3050 8Gb in a BeQuiet Power base 600 case. The I/o bracket of the GPU is too long and the PCI connector doesn't sit well. Anyone knows how to fix this? Thanks in advance for any advice you can give me!

As a long time itx builder the Inno3D 2-slot GPU is great to see over these 3.2-4 slot gpus of other big named GPU manufacturers 💪🥰😇👍
You should also check the Asus ProArt version, 2.5 slots design, 300mm long, could suit your use-case. 😉

Waiting for asus strix version because it was only card available with dual ball fan bearings. I am planning to keep this some time so not that worried about extra premium price.
Does using the "quiet" bios option affect performance or temps? I wouldn't know from watching this.
quiet bios is a slight downclock, so a bit of performance loss.
No significant clock / gaming perf difference with the 5 cards I tested, pretty much just a fan speed adjustment. Obviously slightly quieter means slightly higher temps.

Now this is what I want. Let's face it, the general class of gpu one will get is pretty easy to figure out with the budget limits but which model... that's a tougher one.
might have been useful to include that Gigabyte is refusing to RMA cracks on the pcb either caused by a design flaw or the heavy weight despite using gpu brackets which will end you with a VERY expensive papwerweight if it happens to you

We are using the Windforce version from Gigabyte in our smaller server cases - performance is close enough to the top to make no sense in dealing with the extra bulk and heat generated.
