    Absolutely fantastic.I am about to change the loom and check the injectors on my 1.9 tdi pd and you sir have improved my confidence. I, having OCD would love to see a video of a complete tdi pd engine extraction and mounting to engine stand. Thank you

      @@HelderPutoPerformance turns out this problem is more widespread than I think people realise I have been to a Volkswagen breakers yard, and I would say out of the eight cars I looked at I found one that had all it bugs in I have decided I am going to buzz a Mig welder on the bung and do it as cold as possible, so it doesn’t cause any distortion

    I thought my cam was worn but turns out it was the ball pin on top of the injector had damaged the inside of the rocker adjustment screw. It's an early type ball pin which is a lot longer and goes into the screw quite a bit. But can't find any info online about a new one. Any ideas?

    Remember when you fitted my cam and injectors and you noticed my rocker arm was missing a couple of them oil bungs and you put another rocker arm in for them

    Hi Helder Puto Performance, I would like to know what brands would you use for changing the camshaft (PD ARL).
    I've been reading about Ina for lifters , Glyco for rod bearings, Motive, Kolbenschmidt or AMC for the camshaft, Victor Reinz for gaskets... But I just want your choice, your opinion as I follow you for a long time and i'm sure you know what's better.
    My ARL is only remaped, stage 1 with downpipe and K&N air filter only.
    I hope you can help me :D, thanks!

    I need to do the injector adjusting part in this video, everywhere I see on the net about turning the injector screw back is 180 degrees only this video at 220 degrees and the haynes manual 225 degrees, what one do I go by anyone know, car is a passat 2001 1.9 tdi avf engine 130 pd

    I want to do some modifications to the head of my 1.9 PD engine. It''s a later PD engine with code BXE 105BHP. I have a set of ARL injectors and I'm considering pairing that with a GT1749VB (As my golf currently has the GT1646MV which is not as good as the VNT17). You seem to know your stuff I was wondering what your thoughts are? Could I use this engine or would I be better with a PD130? Thank you.

      Kip the bxe until blow up if you service properly weel last don't replace four the pd150 injectors the car will never work properly

    Hi I've recently just built my top end, I've out a 272° cam in everything is torqued to spec however when I out my injector rocker arms on and I tighten them to spec I cant turn the cam like you do in this video, is there anything I am missing at all? Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

      Hi mate I just put some pre lube ande you have to make sure the lifters move fine up end down and you can’t mixed the cam caps

      Elvis, I noticed that I had the same 'cringe response' at that point. I worked for a guy in 1974-75 that taught me to build Small Block Chevy racing engines and he would have gone ballistic at that point.

    Does the cylinder head need to be skimmed after taking them off the block? I want to rebuild my cylinder head on pd150 ARL but wasn't sure if your supposed to skim them after taking it off or not? Any help would be greatly appreciated man 👌

    Boas preciso trocar a minha cam... usas os mesmos parafusos ou novos na vw? Visto que esticam... ou trocas para parafusos normais 12.9? Obrigado

      Boas a melhor opção e meter parafusos novos da vw mas nem sempre eu meto se sor no meu carro tento sempre aproveitar os velhos

      Depende on the condition off the bolts

      They are stretch bolts so they are supposed to be replaced but this fool thinks he can make a 300bhp engine using old bolts and old lifters.

    hi i have just built my head new cam and shell bearings when i put the cam in all was fine spun fine by habd , after i put the rocker shafts on and tightened to 20nm and 90 degree the cam will not spin and i dont want to force it with a breaker bar, is this normal it literally wont spin with a small 1/2 inch wrench just feels locked what should i do at this stage

      You have a problem whith the cam or caps or shell berings is not right.

      @@AR-pb9vi i put a longer bar on it and it started to spin fairly easily times up and spins fine using a longer bar do you think i may still have cam or cap issues or wrench was to small

      What I would do is take cam off, take followers out re fit cam.... You don't have to fully tourque the caps down, see if you can get the cam to turn nicely without it opening the valves... Then reassemble it all exactly as it was when it span nicely.
      If it locks up or has uneven friction the caps and bearings haven't got the right pinch or allignment or the camshaft is bent.
      Take the whole lot into an machining place and have them sort it out, or cheaper if it is in a car and you don't want to take it all to a workshop just buy another make of cam kit and try that as above....

      If you do the cam without lifters routine, spinning while methodically tightening tge caps down you will be able to identify the bearing that's causing the trouble
      I am not advising anything but to get me out of the poo I'd do something like re fit the old bearing shells in the cap that is seizing the camshaft
      If the camshaft won't spin freely then you are risking snapping the belt.... Which is an expensive pain in the arse to sort out

    Repair shop tested injectors in machine twice they are good.

    Il faut jamais fair le serrage au couple sur les chapeaux d’arbre a cam. Faut juste faire le serrage a la main sinon usure des coussinets

      These are racing injectors, the spec came from the supplier whom he bought them from

      Manual says 225 degrees back but everywhere on the net I'm seeing 180 degrees back, I need to do the injectors soon and I'm confused on what setting to use.

      @@rsw600 this is for racing injectors..my advice is to follow the manual for your car if standard and make sure its the right engine code your looking at for your car. What is your engine code? If the manual says 180° for your engine then follow the manual, thats what it was from the factory and it worked fine!

      @@rsw600 are you fitting new injectors? If yes you can always ask the supplier of the injectors or check to see if theres any info in leaflets that come with your injectors

      @@tiberiusclaudiusnerogermanicis no same injectors just seals need changing and injector pins and adjusting screws, book says 225 degrees back but everywhere else on net saying 180 degrees back, don't know how much difference it would make on them 2 settings
