    Lewis, you can see the seals, but don't try to befriend them. We locals don't like tourists messing with our animals. Not being mean. We've had tourists try to ride on our honu (turtles), pick them up and pass them around for pictures; and even injure or unalive some of them. So, we are very protective!

      I saw a seal on a beach on south Oahu. There were many people on the beach with the sleeping seal. Someone (Life Guards?) put small posts in the sand surrounding the seal with a rope, or tape, strung between the posts. I was there for about an hour. In that time the seal did not move except for its flippers and to look around occasionally.

The Kodiak river otters are adorable, but I'm surprized the Kodiak Brown Bear didn't make the list... they're the largest of all bears. The males can stand 10 feet tall and weigh an average of 1300 to 1500 pounds (however, some weighing over 2000 lbs have been seen). On average the females are only about 20% smaller. In a somewhat remote area of the island called Pasagshak, there's a large herd of Buffalo that roam and graze right along the dirt road that leads there, on a clift above the beach. They're very docile and will walk right up to your vehicle for a little head scratch. Such majestic animals.

At the front of the cabin (on the ground level) we had a large "family room" with very large "picture windows". Us kids were sleeping one night on the floor of the family room and one of my sisters woke us up by talking in her sleep. Looking up at the window, we could see a very large bear looking in at us. Up in the mountains of Tennessee, you see black bears all the time. They'll be walking down the road or crossing the road, passing through your yard, etc. They're usually fairly docile and get spooked easily. Never mess with one that has babies / cubs following it. They don't appreciate it :) I've also seen the Otters while on vacation but never any of the other animals.

    I have ran across 3 bears in Colorado while hiking. They just walk away. I was worried one time coming around a bend at the same time as a bear. We were within 10 feet of each other and both froze in our tracks. While I reached for my sidearms she just calmly stepped off the path and headed up the mountain. In Kodiak Alaska I saw more brown bears than I could count feasting on salmon in a river. I should also note that I have seen many mountain lions, elk, moose and mule deer in Colorado. I personally enjoy watching the marmots. Love your reaction videos bro. Your welcome at Sam’s anytime 👍

    The Bison get a heavy coat of hair in the fall to keep them warm during the harsh snowy winter; in the spring they shed this fur off to cool them during the hot summers on the prairie where there are few trees. The river otters gain their eye sight and teeth as they grow;

    I've seen several types of weasels here up in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan. In the winter they are so beautiful, I've seen ones that are all white with bits of light red almost pink markings and I can't even figure out what kind they are. One time a baby ermine walked into our house and we quietly got it to leave safely before our dogs realized. 🤣 I see bald eagles at least once a week. I see wild turkeys even more often. We've seen many black bears including baby bears up here, even right on our street. I've seen many coyotes and once I saw a large yellow wolf in Wyoming. I know there are wolves around here, but I've never seen them. We frequently hear them though, and our husky malamute dogs always howl back.
