As with part 1 of the series, Oversimplified leaves out things in this episode that go way way beyond oversimplifying...the most obvious one being Chernobyl. Gorbachev himself has said the nuclear disaster was perhaps the biggest single material cause of the collapse of the USSR...it really cannot be "oversimplified" out of any Cold War history presentation.
Oversimplified also gets stuff wrong, such as the claim that the US only learned about the fact that the USSR had far fewer nuclear weapons AFTER the Cuban Missile Crisis...that might have been the case for the US public, but the US government knew all along that the US had a massive superiority in nuclear weapons in the 1950s and early 1960s. The "missile gap" was always false, and Ike knew it was false pretty much since the beginning...he even told JFK and LBJ how he knew it was false from U-2 and other overflights of Soviet territory, but they continued to lie about it because it was getting them a lot of support in their political campaigns.
Near the beginning, you talked about the Soviets telling the USA to take the Jupiter missiles out of Turkey or they would put missiles in Cuba, but that is not what happened. The USA had a military alliance with Turkey, and they demanded the US put missiles on their territory as a deterrent under the NATO Alliance, and the US publicly announced they were sending the missiles years before they were actually deployed. The Soviets had no military alliance with Cuba, and they talked Castro into accepting the weapons...he never requested them...then they lied to the world about what they were doing in Cuba at the same time they were sending more and more missiles and warheads there. The whole insane plan was Khrushchev's idea...just like it had been his idea to threaten NATO countries with nukes during the Suez Crisis in 1956...which is what led Turkey to demand the US put missiles in their territory in the first place.
And I really must respectfully but strongly disagree with you that Brezhnev's kissing showed he "loved peace" 6:42...not when there is so much evidence that he absolutely did not love peace. He increased arms shipments to further fuel the Soviet proxy war in Vietnam, he sent troops into Czechoslovakia to crush the Prague Spring in 1968, he invaded Afghanistan, he promulgated the Brezhnev Doctrine of increased intervention in other nations' affairs, and he MASSIVELY increased the Soviet arsenal of nuclear weapons from about 5000 nukes to at least 25 thousand nukes. That does not seem like a "peace lover" to me.
OK...that is it...would love to hear any reply you might have...looking forward to watching more.

Some insight for if you want to make your channel grow using an American subscriber base: Americans love learning the insights of foreigners, but there are a bunch of "European" reaction channels... you're the first Latvian reactor that I have seen,. You should use "Latvian Reacts to..." for your titles, to show where you are actually from and to set you apart from other Europeans

One more tip: You should add in your commentary pointing out things that an average Latvian would/wouldn't know or common beliefs. Especially for things like the cold war, our baltic brothers and sisters would have completely different views and knowledge since we were on opposite sides of the iron wall- Americans are very curious about those differences.

And turn down the volume on the subscribe bell animation. Something like that shouldn't have the highest audio level. Could cut that channel by 10 dB and it would still be loud enough. Especially if you're going to spam your videos with that animation every few minutes.

Soviet missiles in Cuba had nuclear warheads, the US missiles in Turkey were conventional and obsolete.
