Seeing all that machinery makes me appreciate the ocean.
It is pretty remarkable what it takes to recreate the ocean environment. The larger the aquarium, the larger the equipment.
Now we only need to save the ocean itself if we dont wanna get rid of this life serving eco system

@@evolicious I actually live on the Tropical Island of Guam out here in the pacific. I'm always just 10 mins drive, in any direction, away from great snorkeling spots.
@@evolicious well, obviously this gentleman lives and works in a cold weather climate. I can relate being a detroiter. In winter we really need indoor distractions. He could move anywhere he wants, but a great family lives not always where he prefers. I give him a lot of credit.
This tank is out of this world. It’s easy to say that if one had all the money in the world, this is how one would do it - but it takes so much more than the money. His talent, his knowledge, his dedication and his heart is easily overseen just because he also has marine biologists and assistants and so on employed. Andrew himself is so in touch with and in control of and engaged in everything going on in his tank himself and nothing of this would be possible if he didn’t engage so much in it himself. Also, thanks a lot Andrew for being so generous to share this with us, the community. It’s an honor to get inside information to what is going on at Reef Sandler. You really should have your own TV channel!! 😃

Andrew Sandler is an inspiration. This guy has an insane job outside of this and he is able to do this in his spare time. Yeah he has a lot of money, but this is more than just having money. The guy knows every detail of the system and you can tell did not simply pay someone else to get this setup. Kudos to this guy for being inspirational!

I've had 4 tanks in the past but this guy is the king of fish tanks. And, he's really knowledgeable about everything. I'm really impressed!
I'm not even a saltwater guy, but this is impressive. The man clearly has a genuine passion for this. The money just helps!

It's the most stunning aquarium I have ever seen, the volume of unbelievable fish, the sheer dedication he has put in to it. Not only that, his passion to learn the medication side to care for them, it is so awesome. So grateful Andrew opens his door to show not just his main aquarium, but the smaller ones too, they are just as stunning as are those fish too.
Andrew is uniquely knowledgeable. Im not sure many other people could make this incredible of a system even with an unlimited budget

When you are good at your business and you apply this basic tactics in your hobby you achieve the greatness. The big system is stunning, the zoos can be compared only to this. For me mind blowing was the big cube, corals are stunning.
I've seen rich people wanting the stuff to be done quick and now, this amazing home was made with years with planning, counting and passion. Congratulations!!!

Honestly, the best reef aquarium I've ever seen. Not only the massive size, but it is aquascaped really well. I only wish the fishroom was more organized for safety reasons.

Huge respect to be able to manage all of this, but it really gives us some sense of how amazing mother earth is. We're all living and thriving on this little water drop of a blue marble planet, just one among trillions of other for billions of light years no matter which direction you look. It's just to perfect this simulation we all live in!
I honestly forgot i was watching CZcams at this point. The massive tank is just jaw dropping. The amount of years and work it took just to get to that point is mind numbing. This is beyond engineering a salt water tank. Its just spectacular seeing how they came up with so many solutions to make the tank even hold that amount of water. The plumbing blew my mind to even the electrical pump monitoring systems is bonkers. Props to all the teams who put this massive dream together for the owner. The work is never over and cost tons of money to upkeep the tanks and micro biomes. This guy found his passion and really shows the great lengths he went to have is own aquarium. I love ocean life and he has a mini hawaii ocean in his home. Amazing.... I am highly interested in maintaining a saltwater tank one day but this is beyond anything i ever known and seen.
Keeping any healthy tank takes more than money and equipment. Passion, knowledge, and dedication plays a big role on keeping a healthy tank!
There will never be another home tank like this ever. This guy is the GOAT of reefing.

This is amazing. As a successful grown man I am rarely jealous, but this set-up is amazing. Much love from Philadelphia. Ive had my tank going since 1999. I don't even use filters, just rock & skimmer. Thats how stable my tank is. (but I don't have 500 fish, ha) Just wow!! Nice job.

Andrew built the house just to contain his aquaria. Iguess it beats a lot of things that people spend money on, but when he dies...no one else will have that level of dedication to expend so much money and time on a hobby.
