this could have looked so cool if u actually aquascaped it and didnt put so many monster fish in there
This is unrealistic, imagine trimming all the plants and cleaning all the little holes and other areas. This would require a whole team. This setting here is not pretty and cute but it is just functional. That's what the guy wanted.

@@HindustaniFishguy why? just put some sand/gravel in there and some glass fiber scenery pieces. its not that hard. even if it was really hard. this defence is so damn tiring. i dont need to be able to do it better myself to be able to tell that it looks like shit or not.
Sucks for those fish. They have no room, no life. Build a damn aquarium with hiding spots, logs, greenery, something...
I agree, i think smaller fish would of been just as nice. Like star fish, snails, sea horses, clown fish
big fish like these will knock over, eat and destroy any decor kept with them and it can pose a hazard if they get spooked. although many of them would benefit from it, a lot of hardscape can do more harm than good for these types of fish

If he had smaller tropical fish, with beautiful rocks and corals, it would have been cool.
This is some years ago, he now keeps native fish in it. I think his electric bill was being read wrong and he ended up with a bill for thousands.

There are pacu in there but that was a ripsaw catfish when you framed the fish n said pacu. However that is a great tank!!

Pacus get this big usually. They can live to be 65 and weigh over 60lbs. They’ve one at Tynemouth Aquarium and she weighs 90lbs! Some pet shops are irresponsible and don’t warn people these little cousins of piranha get humongous!!! 😳
@@LouciferFlump ive caught 100s of pacu they Dont normally get this big in the wild. In an aquarium in a controlled environment. You ever catch them in the wild? I didn’t think do.

It's better to keep many small fishes than a few big fishes. For small fishes it's an ecosystem for big fishes it's prison.

@@jygergruz9562 Apart from my take this guy seems to like aquarium life as much as we do. Creating a big aquarium such as he has surely taken immense time and resources. But I think he can sell or rehome these fishes appropriately and keep smaller fishes. Honestly this guy could make a fortune just by putting smaller fishes and aquascaping this aquarium making CZcams videos. And when it's done live streaming aquariums via CZcams.
@@Batmancontingencyplans the thing about the fish he has in his tank are they are all monster fish, and go from a range fron 10-50 dollars when young, so they could probably sell for a good price as an adult. The fly river turtle is worth like 5000 dollars plus, but I don’t think he would wanna give that away

it is a bit like most monster fish aquariums. although it should be noted that these fish dont live in this setup anymore and the owner now has uk native fish in this tank
A very sad tank in my opinion no colors, no beautiful things for them to explore, it's cool I suppose but seems a very boring life!

except its not. size wise this is probably the biggest home setup any of those fish could get and with pristine water, a ready supply of food and dedicated maintenance its far better than living in a cramped 6 foot tank like the vast majority of enclosures for them and calling an aquarium dark when the fish inhabiting it naturally live in dark tannin enriched waters is a useless point to make

Far too small for all those fish. The turtles on top of it all is a piss take. Complete misery for those animals. Would have been better to get five or six really big nice fish, would have looked more impressive if he had loads of small shoaling fish
