The tank with the plastic bags in it is a really cool idea! It kind of snaps you back to reality while you're in a different world, and reminds you of how humans impact such a beautiful environment.

All these parks, aquarium, zoo, which entertain people while keeping animals locked up in these small spaces. money money and more money...it's sad.
I don’t think you could of gotten a more passionate tour guide! This aquarium adventure was incredible and the guides knowledge and care about education and conversation is really rare. And that plastic bag exhibit man that we need more of to teach our future generations

THANK YOU, ALEJANDRO and GEORGE! Many of us would never have the chance to see these special aquariums without these tours. I for one, need dialysis 3× a week and cannot travel.You mean a great deal to us!!
I had never even thought about how people who need constant medical care can’t travel to experience these kinds of things! Thank you for opening my eyes a bit to another aspect of other people’s lives.
I would HIGHLY recommend watching the incredible Cirque du Soleli performances they post on CZcams! They are absolutely spectacular and I could watch them for hours
@@zaradawkins2312 Thank you, for your empathy, Zara!! I HAVE seen Cirq and love their work!! You Tube has given me a window into worlds that I'd never have access to! Chronic illness is very difficult. Lack of travel is just one on a long list. It's getting better, though! I've heard through the grape vine that we ( dialysis patients) have a cruise ship that provides necessary care for us! That said, I'm sure it's WAAAY too expensive for someone like myself to take advantage of!! Oh, well! Maybe after my transplant ( God willing)?
@@breshannondevereaux5712 You're thinking of Dialysis at Sea, Breshannon! They're a great organization, and probably the only cruise ship I'd trust to make sure no one came down with norovirus. And while you do have to pay for the cruise, some insurance companies will cover the cost of dialysis on board. Hopefully that gives you some information for being able to Google them and making a decision about your options.
You may also want to ask your transplant center if they have a transient dialysis coordinator - some will help you coordinate dialysis at other clinics so that you can go on vacation in the USA or Canada. There's also a destination dialysis resort in Ireland, Irish Holiday Dialysis. I've also heard about the company Holiday Dialysis, but I don't know anyone who has used them.
Pulling for you to get that transplant, and until then, to continue creatively living your best life.

Love seeing video where they show Latin countries having similar aquariums to the ones here in the US. You can tell the tour guide has passion for this. It’s true the media only shows the bad side of country’s when there so much more to them

@burrolling Aquariums like this creates tourism and ecological conciousness for the people to protect their natural resources. It also shows the ignorant but not stupid people of the world (like you) that there is much more than the negative aspects of a country, it opens up international relationships and comerce.
That Vet who gave the tour also knew every aspect of the consumer walk through as well as the back end vitals on the maintenance side... that rocks

I’ve been to that same aquarium back in 2017. It’s amazing. I loved seeing the huge red tails and all those huge freshwater fish

1st off the tour guide/backbone of this public aquarium is GREAT, as is the overall layout & well kept maintenance/impeccable stock & H2O quality as a whole. If I were to change 1 thing though....I would've definitely provided those Tarpon w/ more length, less height/depth. They're zoomers & need to spread out they wings....I mean FINS-FINS.

When he said the eel(knife fish) is 1.7 meters I got scared because that’s my exact height ! X) the idea of swimming and seeing a fish my size is scary and impressive ! Gorgeous video guys ! Beautiful place

It’s insane seeing some of those fish that are bigger than the aquariums they’re typically kept in here in the states. The striped Leoparinus especially, as a teenager I accidentally acquired one that had been mixed in with some tiger barbs from the store… no one could tell us what it was and what it’s preferred parameters were so in went into my dads tank with the semi-aggressive sharks and catfish and lived there for 3 years until it decided to somehow jump out of the small gap hole in the lid where the heater was mounted… it was 1.5 inches at purchase and died at just shy of 5in, to think it could’ve potentially gotten up to the 1foot mark is mind blowing

What a brilliant idea to have a plastic bag tank,I think everyone should send that idea to their local aquarium centre, I try to do my own part picking up plastic from our beach which everyone should do as well ! Stunning place not what I expected to see in Columbia, ☺ 🇬🇧

Its kind of cool to see fresh water getting the large tanks. Most places will build large reef tanks. Few do naturalistic fresh water.

An aquarium near me has a plastic bag tank...with actual jellies in with them. And honestly, you do have to look real close to pick out the actual jellies from the bags. It's cool that they have that tank, though, because it really shows how similar they look.
