as a Brazilian doctor who has had some of those electric eels (we call those poraques) on my line while fishing the Amazon, one suggestion: do not touch that fish. You can prob take the charge, as you can prob take a small car crash, do not test it

I don't like the hand feeding part, but I fully support adding female guppies to the moss tank
only if he does at least twice as many females and he has males though, otherwise he will end up with a bunch of stressed and dead female guppies.

Guppies! Also, now I have ideas for that jungle temple I picked up at Petsmart a year ago.
I recommend bangaii cardinal fish for the Duncan tank. You could add some Acans to the substrate. Would look great. Mushroom coral would be great too in the Duncan tank. Some nice blue mushroom

A clownfish harem would be awesome im thinking of doing one myself at 1 time i had over 20 rainbow bubbletip anemones i started with 3 and learned quickly if u feed em good food like silversides and meaty foods they will split and ull have a tank full b4 u know it

I've always wanted to do a SW reef with nothing but small, agressive fish, like damsles, wrasses and dotty backs.
About corals in SW tank: try waving hand xenia or pulsing xenia corals. They are not expensive and they will grove fast! They have a lot of movement! They are not so popular in reef hobby but they are just beautiful
I love the tree idea ive started seeing it ready and ive been planning to do it in my 300gallon guppy tank, ive also been thinking of doing an under water waterfall

i dont know much about salt water but that coral frag tank had no movement or wavemaker , i though corals needs that wavemaker movement . for the price coral cost i would hope they are taking care of them perfectly

I want to do your tower setup, but a question that i had was about water circulation in something like that. Does it cycle the water, oxygenating it? Or do you have to regularly change water, or maybe a water pump circulating it with the main tank?
I'm very interested in the inverted water tower idea as well. Although from everything I've read, it does pose a problem with water circulation in that area. I wonder if you could lay out the tank in such a way that the filter has an intake hose that draws water from the top of the tower, and sends it out somewhere else in the tank?

Rams or apistogramma can be added to the tank.. It will add more interest to the tank and also Joey you know it.. A scaped apistogramma tank is long pending.. 😅
The average shock from an electric eel lasts about two-thousandths of a second. The pain isn't searing -like sticking your finger in a wall socket - but isn't pleasant: a brief muscle contraction, then numbness. Basically if you walk into an electric fence it's similar

Go ahead and grab the eel just to join the club. It feels like a high tension spark plug wire. Lots of fun😅. Keep in mind he'll hit you four or five times before you get out of the tank. Don't forget the whiskey and beer afterwards.
I think the shock while dangerous is only lethal if you try to grab it and THEN it continues to shock you, which will lock you on to it and just keep shocking you. I could be wrong though.
