- The game between Western Michigan and Ball State ends in the weirdest way possible... between the team coming out on the field early, WMU scoring with no time left, and the ESPN broadcast cutting off early, this one was simply BIZARRE!

The ESPN broadcast really cut off right before the refs explained the call😂😂
Damn lmao
BRUH
They lost because they did some forward laterals
bro
You need to do a highest/lowest scoring games of 2020 when it’s over. I enjoyed the series last year.
I’m here because Jomboy told me to watch this first.
Same and damn he was right
And I'm not going back
Lol same
Same... still don't know what happened
Lmao me too
I was dying when the players started to run back on the sideline 😂😂😂
i think some offense players on the sideline tried to tackle them to😂😂😂😂😂
Its 12:52 and oklahoma still sucks
@@42701texasman 6-0 Bozo, both Oklahoma’s are doing good this season, don’t know what you on.
Cal usc the band is in the field vibes
ESPN ended coverage of the game early to talk about Lebron James taking a dump.
Al your boss Tim the toolman Taylor went to Western Michigan so he's probably upset about this loss.
😂😂😂
BLM
Or Sarah Fuller kicking the ball 30 yards.
@@ronniejdio9411 stfu
Dang, without that forward pass that would have arguably been the craziest TD ever to win a game in college football history.
Ummmmmmm.........you're obviously not a real football fan. Cal vs Stanford back in on November 20, 1982 remains the wildest ending ever, and all 5 laterals were legit.
Watch cal vs Stanford the play
@@colderbeer ok, he said “arguably” which means someone could make a point on why it is, that doesn’t mean it is, Jesus, what’s a “real fan” supposed to be anyway? Stop talking down to people
"californicationers" can be full of themselves.
Exhibit A
@@casey8950 exactly
If that wasn’t called back that woulda been on the same level as band on the field craziness
Way crazier than band on the field! Because the offense doesn't know which Ball State players are legal to make a tackle and try and avoid. Random players on the Ball State team could make a tackle, where as no band member is making a tackle
Screw the nats
@@spitonitpawpaw2848 screw the braves
Well the band on the field was the first of its kind, plus the fact that it's the band with instruments vs actual players with the equipment to be on the field
@@47dumb Screw the NL East!
ESPN went with the Tony Soprano ending. Bad move for a sporting event.
horrible move loooool
😂😂😂. They just forgot to play Journey.
We were left in antici-
Lmao. Great comment.
They showed the forward pass.
I think 1:31 is my favorite. Ballcarrier finds himself in a crowd of 20 opponents fresh off the sideline, and tries to play it casual for a few seconds.
Ball State lucky as hell or else that would’ve been one of the dumbest ways to lose a game ever.
If 2020 were the end of a football game
Comment of the year
You sir just won the internet for the day
This reminds me of when the band stormed the field in that one Cal game
Same
Stanford.. 1982
Oh yea, and the players refused to yield?
The band is out on the field!
@@markelscott100 he’s probably gonna try to squib it, and he does.
Man, just a damn shame no one will remember this since the TD didn't actually count. The announcers did a great job. This is as memorable as "THE BAND IS ON THE FIELD!!": "They have not blown this dead yet ... THEY HAVE NOT BLOWN THIS DEAD YET!!" Great call. The image of like 50 Ball St players abruptly turning around to sprint towards the sideline is one the most hilarious things I've ever seen.
ESPN is a complete joke of a "network".
and this was on ESPN+, which means you had to pay $5.99/month (or $49.99 for the year) to see the game.
@@zymaymyn If anyone is doing that, they deserve to get screwed
Stations do this all the time, not just ESPN. Contracts are very specific about precious air time, including for commercials. It usually is not this abrupt though.
Fox News is by far the worst
@@zymaymyn I live nearby, so I was lucky enough to catch it on the radio
1:20 "It's the annexation of Puerto Rico "😂😂😂
I don't get it. What does that mean?
@@1981lashlarue from little giants! The trick play John Madden helped the kids design.
the best part is how some the players on the bench started playing😂😂😂
Apparently ESPN cut to over ESPN8: The Ocho for some exciting Dodgeball action.
ALL THE BAND IS OUT ON THE FIELD‼️‼️‼️
That's the first thing I thought of
I can clearly hear that voice in my head lol
Yes
@Christopher Bresnick you missed the joke..
This is crazier than "The BAND IS ON THE FIELD!!!!" Also, if I were a football coach I would devise a dozen lateral schemes and use them throughout the game. Defenses seem so confused when you do a simple lateral. Yeah, you might fumble but if you practice them enough, it'll be more often successful.
tell me why you don’t coach without telling me you don’t coach 😂
Crazy stuff, almost makes you miss how much "homering" was done by the clock operator on that late drive...whistle at 10, clock stops at 08. Ref starts clock, QB spikes in less than 1 second, clock goes to :06. Three extra seconds from 6 to 9? One extra play maybe. This is why your clock operator can suddenly be your best friend when you are at home.
All I can say is wow... the most exciting play of 2020 on every level of football
90 Ball State players on the field and the WMU guy still doesn't get tackled 😂
thats sad espn cut off the end. they dont care about small schools.
They don't make money is why
Truth
As a fan of Buffalo it is sad to see our conference-mates get cut off
Even though they lost, good for w. Michigan. Hope we start to see these more often everywhere in football 🏈!
Legend has it the quarterback is still on the field being tackled again
Cant wait for the jomboy breakdown on this
"This is.....This is a problem...." lol
This...is a little bit of a morass...
Seriously...that’s a great call.
1:05 the throw from 24 is a forward pass. Flag. Ball game over
Thrown at 32.5 yard line and caught at 34 yd line
Should have been offsetting penalties since the Ball St penalty happened while the ball was still in play. How they can justify that being a dead ball foul, I have no clue.
@@GoBlue576966 well it was offsetting penalties. A game cannot end on a defensive penalty. However, if there’s a defensive penalty AND a penalty on the offense, the game can end. It’s only if there’s just a defensive penalty that the game will be extended by one play.
Yup, that was the forward pass, alright.
I know they call it a dead ball foul but one of the players that wasn't in the play and ran onto the field actually made contact with the runner while the play was live, how in the world does that make it a "dead ball foul". Due to that everything should have offset and an untimed play should have been given.
ESPN.cutting out before the play was explained by the referee what was that about
ESPN doing what they do best
Dude I was laughing/screaming watching this, thanks for the post
How is 1:28 not Targeting, he Lounged at him with the Crown of the Helmet.
Cant wait for the breakdown from... well u know who it isssss
Ball State down BAD after that basketball loss. Had to come back and revisit this one.
For ESPN to just cut off the broadcast while the refs were explaining was truly a great ending LOL
That is insane good content keep it up

@@KswaggReacts 😂
i see everyone here is mentioning jomboy already
wow wht a time to be alive
It's funny how #24, Moore, who ran the touchdown in was the one who blew the play by throwing the forward pass instead of to a clearly open alternative couple teammates behind him for a lateral.
1982: The band is on the field !
2020: The entire team is on the field and just lost themselves the game !
Actually, they WON the game
@@TheClearwall true but it wasn't because of anything they did on that play. They did choke but got lucky that W Michigan fucked up to.
Who else is getting flashbacks of the infamous Stanford/Cal game?
Thanks for the closure.. Most other vids end at the touchdown..
1:26 when the teacher dismisses you and not the bell
This is like “The Band Is On The Field!” except it’s “The Team Is On The Field!”
Anytime that the Annexation of Puerto Rico is mentioned, you know it is an epic moment. Wow. Wow. WOW! Only 2020 could have brought this.
Flashback to Cal/Stanford ‘82. The band is on the field!
"Insane ending" gets used in title a lot as clickbait but that one fit the bill!
Me who watched the ending of the Browns game and seeing all those laterals: I have a bad feeling about this
This may be the craziest thing to happen in college football
How is being on the field during a play a dead ball foul? Shouldn't the penalties offset? What's to stop a team from intentionally taking the field to disrupt the play?
When did they say it was a dead ball foul?
0:58: You ain't gonna tackle that big boy like that. LOL.
This is why I love Maction but ESPN has to ruin it!
The annexation of Puerto Rico quip is perfection. 😄😄😄
This is hands down the craziest thing I have seen in a football game.
Wow, so close to being a Ball State bowl of depression soup. Only 1 slight forward pass. Good game WM. We needed this.
😂😂😂😂
Need the Benny hill song over this video
Lol #24 at 1:04 threw an illegal forward pass, *flag thrown*, and #23 on the sidelines at the top of the screen was like "that's it, we lost"
That is one of the most craziest plays ever!!
This sums up 2020 pretty much
Legend has it, Skyy Moore and every WR on his team are still blowing games to this day.
Besides Rashee Rice
i don’t understand how they ended up calling it a forward pass when when he was behind the line of scrimmage when he threw the ball
Uhm this is not a passing play anymore, this is a running play, so any lateral passes have to be behind the person who threw the ball. They cant throw a forward pass at this point. If you look at the last play, they passed the line of scrimmage early on in the play, so at this point its now a running play and they cannot pass forward. So later in the play when the guy lateraled, it went ahead of him, so now its a illegal forward pass. Pretty simple to understand actually.
@@Sillysoft everyone is high on CBD here,... YOU CAN throw the ball forward behind the line of scrimmage; check the rule books !
Correct !!
exactly, the NCAA is a SCAM league ,..
Because they already threw one forward pass. You can only throw one
He was really reiterating the whole "Detroit or Bust" thing..... a lot.....
Man we were one illegal pass forward away from Stanford vs Cal deja vu, my god.
1 for the ages! Shades of that famous ending between the 2 California teams in the 70s :)
Too bad that ONE pass was ruled a forward one :(
Michigan Sports: A Legacy of Losing
1:38 THEY HAVE NOT BLOWN THIS DEAD YET !!!!
🤣 you gotta luv it 😂😂😂
The guy doing the backflip on field at 1:28 lol
Who else had to go back and watch The Game in 1982 Stanford vs Cal after seeing this one! Haha😆👍🏻
Defense ran on the field, offense threw a forward lateral ... offsetting penalties. Replay the down.
Yes! I don't understand why they ended the game. Also how is it a dead ball foul when the foul occurred during the play before it was blown dead?
because of how tiktoks and clips are posted, dont think 90% of ppl realize it wasnt a td, still a td in my heart
Nice to see Rugby is taking off in the US ;)
That was UNREAL.
Number 5 got absolutely murdered twice in one play
1:29 sounds like a whistle, but could also be fans whistling
But aside from that, Western Michigan had coaches standing on the field telling the players to keep going, and one of those laterals wasn't quite a lateral, so offsetting penalties + game over makes sense.
offsetting penalties always means you replay the down, at least as far as i have seen. So it doesn't make sense to me
@@jimh1741It’s replay the down, but it isn’t an untimed down
2 months and I just heard about this.
Alright and now I'm going to need to go back to the breakdown video
Fitting ending for 2020!
Holy crap I wished I witnessed this MACtion over the fogfest at The Swamp
it took the NCAA three years to award this to the proper winner ,, justice served baby !!
That 8 stood there for a while 😂
UNBELIEVABLE
1:40 shows WM players and coaches on the field as well.
WMU had TWO crazy finishes this year.
Cal and Stanford but the players are the band
NFL needs to have more fun like this with laterals. No more kneeling, please!

The new Cal-Stanford "The Play", albeit with lesser known teams in an inconsequential game.
We needed Joe Starkey on the play call.
I saw a forward pass and they did finally call it. The 32/33 yard line to the 34
3:18 that’s targeting as well
I told you! How many times? We needed locking mechanisms on the vehicle doors!
Haha...nice Little Giants reference "the annexation of Puerto Rico"
lmao imagine being in the locker room of ball state after this one 🤣🤣
“This is a-this is a problem.”
Says it all lol.
That was the craziest thing I’ve ever seen
Wrong call. A whistle was heard before the forward lateral that should have stopped the play right there. Since it is a whistle that should not have occurred it would be an inadvertent whistle. The team with the ball gets to run a play (untimed down) from the spot where thr ball was when the whistle was blown.
1:28 that guy got smashed...
1:28 the poor guy in the back😂
Referee @2:12 has that look like "Well....I really don't know what we are going to do here..."
Thoughts and prayers for the trombone player from the band that wandered onto the field. If you know, you know
THE BAND IS ON THE FIELD! THE BAND IS ON THE FIELD!
Kudos to the refs for not calling the game on that botched recovery by Ball St. Rarely do refs get any praise when they make the correct calls,…so WTH….good job zebras.
Also,…somewhere right now watching this clip,…is one of the remaining members of the 1982 University of Stanford Cardinal Band - thanking Western Michigan & Sky Moore - for their efforts and not giving up. (FYI - If you weren’t aware,…Stanford’s band ran on the field & cost them the “W” - in a big game vs. Cal. It’s epic!).
