so simple and easy..... saved me a ton of money.... thanks!
You're welcome! This fix cost me about $13. I can only imagine how much this would've been at the dealership. I'm glad this video is helping others with this repair!
I learned something new! I am spoiled with my fancy scan tools and always relied on them for codes and data. I never knew that you could test the sensors by sound. Keep up the good work!
Thanks Scott! I genuinely did this for my truck. I figured I’d record it to see if it could help someone else. 👍🏽
This was EXTREMELY helpful!!! Thank you for not rambling on about things that don’t matter. Keep posting!!! I’m learning cool stuff from you.
You’re welcome! I try to make sure all of my videos are straight to the point. I also try to release a new video every Friday so make sure to subscribe! 👍🏽👌🏽
I could not hear anything with my cell phone so I used a stethoscope I got from Harbor Freight and it worked great. All information from Wimberley was great
Thanks a lot! Much appreciated!
Replaced damaged #1 and #4 sensor, Park Assist System was still down, Found your video, Straight to the point, Phone Trick worked FANTASTIC!!! My Ava is Happy!!! Thanks Bro
You’re welcome! I’m glad the video helped!
Man my brother found you on CZcams and sent the tail light episode to me. Then I saw the dash replaced and now the sensor replacement. I immediately went to my truck with my cell to identify the bad sensor!! Much appreciated!!! Can't wait to get this fixed!!
That’s awesome! I’m glad I was able to help with more than one video!
So it looks different on the SUV version vs the EXT because I tried replacing mine and I can’t even get to the sensors.
That’s correct. You can use the phone method to find the bad sensor, but the replacement that I did is specifically for Escalade EXT and Chevy Avalanche.
Thank you! You just saved me $445 dollars that the dealership was going to charge.
That’s awesome! I’m glad the video helped!
Thanks, this helped me fix my 2013 Yukon sensor issue fast. Loved the phone trick! Thought I had to try swopping each one until I saw your video.

That’s awesome! I’m glad the video helped!!! 👍🏽👌🏽
Hello Steven! Ended up subscribing as the few videos I’ve watched have been straightforward and simple! I was scepticisme about the phone trick - but it worked! No more cautions! However… I have no grid lines on my 07 ESV. How do I get those up like you have? OEM camera and radio screen. Thank you!
Thanks for subscribing! I’m not sure how you would do that. I’m not even sure the 07s had the lines. My ESV was a 2012 model. I’d check cadillacforums.com
@@WorkingWithWimberley Thank you for responding! I shall sign up with the forum - appreciate it!
Thank you so much! very helpful, simple tutorial!
You're welcome! Anyone can do this job on their own car!
I don’t realize it was so easy to diagnose/fix. I thought I had a shorted wire somewhere... ex police suburban, thought they cut the wire somewhere but 3 of the sensors are working so it’s just a bad sensor.
That’s great! Hopefully you can get the bad sensor out easily. In the Escalade EXT and Chevy Avalanche, the sensors are at the very bottom of the bumper so it’s easy to remove.
Same with the suburban nice n easy! Thanks again!!! God bless
You’re welcome and God Bless you too!
Excellent Video. Thank you!
You’re welcome! I’m glad the video helped!

Short and sweet!
Thanks!
This is why CZcams exists 🙂 I had no idea how to test censors. Thank you
You’re welcome! I’m glad the video helped!
Nice, and well done. Would love to see video on replacing side sensing module on 2017 Escalade.
Those will be more challenging as you can’t just reach under and change it. I don’t have a late model Escalade in my possession, but maybe someone else will make that tutorial.
@@WorkingWithWimberley I went ahead and had the dealer replace it while they were performing a transmission TSB. They pulled my vehicle into the service bay and had the sensor pulled in less than 5 minutes, and showed it to me. I guess it's easy enough to get to. I should have watched.
Thanks for awesome video I have issue with 2018 Escalade I’m getting error B096C parking assist side sensor left front circuit and also front right
When I clear with OBD and put in revers parking sensors work for 1sc and off again it will display service parking system even though I have swap the parking sensor but have same issue
Any help or tip I would appreciate it
Thanks for the info 😊

Thanks for creating this video... my Insurance company was telling me I had a 500$ deductible....
You’re welcome! I’m glad the video helped!
Hi can you do a demo on a 2008 GMC Acadia SLT. Also if there’s no volume on the radio could that possibly affect the sensor
I don’t have access to an Acadia but the process I show can be used on any car. I don’t think the volume would have anything to do with it. There are some scan tools that could also identify what part of the system has failed.
Thank you great fix
You’re welcome! I’m glad the video helped!
Man I been trying to figure out that light thank you
You’re welcome! I’m glad the video helped!
Thanks for the video helps a lot, I have the same truck, colour also.Mine is an 2008
You’re welcome! I was about to buy a 2008 but it sold before I could get to it. Thankfully I found a nice 2012 and was able to get it. These are awesome trucks!
Thank you!
You’re welcome! I’m glad the video helped!
Would have liked to see a wiring system check... but nice job thanks. Especially for the phone part.
Thanks Wimberly
You’re welcome! I’m glad the video helped!
I tried the steps you showed in this video. I get no signal from any of these. What else should I check?
@@heathguinn1547 if there’s no power to them at all, I’d check the fuses and the wires. Maybe the connection is broken.
Thank you I will check fuses next. I appreciate your time.
Thx, nicely done
You’re welcome! I’m glad the video helped!
thank you very much 👍
You’re welcome! I’m glad the video helped!
Is the scenario isn’t working what noises are we loook for not to hear. Is it going to be a ❤️ beat for each that work?
You should hear a pulsing or popping sound just like you hear in the video if it’s working. If it doesn’t make any sound, that means it does not work.
Thank You!!!!
You’re welcome! I’m glad the video helped!
Same problem with my Escalade, thank bro👍🏽

Thanks! I’m glad the video helped!
Thank you it help
You’re welcome! I’m glad the video helped!
I have that same bumper and looking to make the sensors work.. do you happen to know what harness, brain/computer I should buy?
No I don’t know. I usually use gmpartsdirect.com to find part numbers. If that fails, you could give your vin number to the dealership and they could give you the part numbers.
Good job
Thanks!
Awesome...
Thanks!
Dope trick gonna try that for mines
I hope it works!
Hi Steven, could you tell me how you were able to get the sensor matched to the body color?
I ordered mine from eBay and messaged the seller before buying it to make sure it was the right color.
@@WorkingWithWimberley thank you very much for your time. I really appreciate you replying. I haven’t found anything on eBay yet. I believe Napa auto can match paint.
@@heathguinn1547 Ok cool. No problem!
God Bless You Too
Thank you! 🙏🏽
Pretty damn good instructional!!
For those who don't have the fancy scan tools!
Thanks! Much appreciated!
Brother you could really help me. I have the same EXT you do but the sensor trick did not work. Can you tell me where the URPA diagnostic connector is. All answers have said under the rear seat which is right for Tahoe and normal Escalade.
I’m sorry, but I don’t know where the URPA connector is.
First. Nice vid bro!
Thanks bro! This one took a little more work than usual, but I think this is a good video. This one has the potential to help a lot of people. Only time will tell.
Thanks💪🏽👌🏽
You’re welcome! I’m glad the video helped!
Why on your Touchscreen appears the green, yellow and red lines on “reverse gear” and thanks for the video
You’re welcome. That’s the way it came from the factory.
@@WorkingWithWimberley is the lines on your touchscreen standard I don't have the lines
@@reginaldwhite9131 Yes. My Escalade is a 2012 and everything about the GPS, radio and reverse camera is standard. I didn’t change anything. It’s how it was when I bought the truck.
I’m going to give it a try with the cell phone. My fuse is good and I cannot hear anything with my ear. I will try the phone test. Is there a module somewhere that can go wrong too?
Ok, got to admit that I’m impressed with the trick. Turns out that the best way to assess the functionality of each probe is by video with the phone. I couldn’t hear it by ear or feel it with my finger but I could video the probes and listen to the video. My first probe is in fact not working and 2-4 are clicking. Thanks for the tip.
Awesome! I’m glad the video helped! The phone method definitely works well.
He man, what brand sensors did you buy when you changed it
GM from eBay and it was already painted. www.ebay.com/itm/Genuine-OEM-GM-25961316-Park-Assist-Object-Sensor-White15239247-/123297806935?_trksid=p2349624.m46890.l49286
Followed steps and replaced all 4 sensors, service park assist is still showing. Any ideas?
When you tested the sensors, were all four of them dead?
Does this work with a "park assist blocked code"? Yes, I've wiped em off.
It should if you’re able to identify which one is malfunctioning. It sounds like there’s one that’s actually broken, not blocked.
Was this a OEM sensor or a cheaper one from eBay?
It was both. It was OEM from eBay.
Did you paint the new sensor? I have the same color Escalade
I actually found a color matched sensor on eBay.
@@WorkingWithWimberley okay, I’m pretty sure all my sensors are broken on my 08 Escalade
@@dennisanca2214 Ok cool. It’s easy to replace on the EXT. It’s a little more challenging on the regular Escalades due to the bumper design.
Can you tell me why the display wouldn’t change to the camera when going to reverse? I have 6 volts to the camera and at the module under the passenger seat but my radio display doesn’t switch.
I’ve never dealt with that on a factory radio. But on aftermarket, it’s because the reverse trigger wire is disconnected or malfunctioning. Could be the same for a factory radio I suppose.
@@WorkingWithWimberley thanks. I was able to get it, I have a Soundstream stereo/dvd player that has front and rear camera inputs. The only way I could get the camera to show on the screen was to hook both together and then it would work but the radio wouldn’t. So I just ran a switch to one side and when I go to reverse the display will go blue until flip the switch but at least I can see back there again now 😀
@@bikefab Ok cool! I’m glad you found a solution.
Wow 💪🏽
Thanks!
Can you do a walk around video on your Cadillac
Sure. I plan on doing a full video review of my Escalade EXT!
I don't have anything at any of my sensors what should I check next
The fuses.
Can you do a pop test driving a 2007 Cadillac Caddo I guess going
I don’t understand what you’re asking.
Test drive on your Cadillac
Is there a parking sensor on the front or just for the back?
The Escalade only had rear sensors up until the 2014 model year. Once the next generation (2015) came out, they added front as well.
WorkingWithWimberley
good to know. Thanks!
No problem!
How’s you figure out the pulsing trick?
I found it online and tried it. After it worked, I recorded the process to show other people.
how did you get the new sensor painted ?
I ordered mine already painted from eBay and messaged the seller before buying it to make sure it was the right color.
@@WorkingWithWimberley would you happen to know his Ebay ID? Having a hard time finding the white like yours! Same truck! Thanks for the video!
@@Optimization_Coach You’re welcome! It was a few years ago, but here’s the link. www.ebay.com/itm/123297806935?mkcid=16&mkevt=1&mkrid=711-127632-2357-0&ssspo=pAGLOeLVSz2&sssrc=2349624&ssuid=DKqXTHUFQXa&var=&widget_ver=artemis&media=COPY
Where can I get new wiring
I would check online or at a Chevy/Cadillac dealership.
Does that work on all GM cars
I’m not sure if it’s all GM cars, but it should work on similar styled sensors.
Hello have a question what if none of them are working any suggestions
I’d check the fuses. I’d also check for damage on the wiring harness that the sensors are connected to.
@@WorkingWithWimberley Thank You
@@Tel0819 No problem!
@@WorkingWithWimberley I'm trying to look it up do you know where I should be looking for the harness
@@Tel0819 I was referring to the harness in the bumper. The one that the sensors are actually plugged into.
