We dodged a bullet with Amorim. Apparently he wanted £10 million a year. £10 million up front signing on fee. That's without the compensation to SL of £15 million. Plus all the compensation for all backroom staff at SL. He's met up with West Ham. Who have probably told him we'll get back to you. Amorim has now realised winning Portuguese leagues doesn't make you the most wanted manager on the planet. He's actually issued a public apology to his team/club and fans. What a greedy little man. 😂

Probably due to a lack of experience with Technical Manager - head Coach setup I'm afraid your understanding of this system is a little off. Being Head Coach does not mean he isn't involved in the buy and selling of players, it's quite the opposite really. Think of it this way, who decides which player gets minutes on the pitch and which doesn't........ ? See there is no point in the manager getting players the coach is not going to use. In reality they work all very closely, the coach is the one to say "I want a player for x position like like person y", scouting will provide possible candidates, coach selects further, manager decides the economical feasibility and finalises the deal. At least this is how it works in NL where probably all clubs work with this setup.

Slot seems to be the perfect Yes-man for the new regime at LFC and as a head coach he will not have the authority to make significant changes at the club. Besides, he does not have the resume to attract big-name/talented players to Liverpool.
Additionally, if Edwards' system is fully implemented (i.e.: sign young talents and sell them on their peak for profit), LFC will become a springboard club very soon, because the players will know they won't have any long term future at the club. It will bite back, if they sign for the club with this mindset and they leave, even when the owners don't want to sell them yet.
I believe, Edwards and Co. caused the collapse of the team this season since their appointment by treating the senior players according to this system. Hence Ali is selling his house and other key, senior players look demotivated on the pitch which has the domino effect in the whole squad. What the public saw yesterday from Salah and Klopp on the touchline, might be only the tip of the iceberg and it's been likely going on behind the scenes for a while.
With Slot, it's not going to be an issue. He is already living his dream while more serious candidates would not even consider it because of the conditions.
Also, I am not saying at all that Slot is a bad manager/coach however, he will have serious limitations in this position vs the expectations that might not work out for him at all on the long term.

FSG's model may be sustainable, but will not win us trophies. For one reason or the other, all the teams that win trophies spend money. Either they bring a ton in, like Madrid, or spend anyway like City. To compete, you have to spend - see what Arsenal and Villa have done. Alonso is not stupid; he knows this and had 0 interest in coming. Players that have options at Madrid, City, Bayern, Arsenal, etc will not come here.

But for a club that's had strikers like Rush, Dalglish, Fowler, Owen, Torres, Suarez and a prime Salah, to me you just can't tolerate that kind of decision-making, and finishing chances if he's your main number 9. Rarely have I seen a striker where (Liverpool-)fans are so intense on pouncing on people like me who are astonished by how a few goals by Darwin paper over the substantial amount of misses anf shots from weird positions. A club of Liverpool's stature deserves a far more clinical number one striker

Using the clubs profits to build the extensions instead of their own money as that adds value to the club .. as that doesn’t fall under ffp . When Liverpool needed a cb or midfielders
Klopp was told no more money ..
Hence the signing of Davies and loan signing of another CB Kabak that didn’t really play .
We signed Gapko the following Jan but then no money available for a Mid .
When the fee is £39m that’s spread over 5 yrs not a lump sum paid .
Had they invested over the yrs they wouldn’t have needed a rebuild .
Last summer no money Sadie as saving it for Bellingham ..
when it came down to actually buying Bellingham they bottled it.
Hence it’s probably one of the reasons Klopp is Leavjng . He’s had enough of scrimping and saving to compete when other teams are spending . £100m plus without having to sell
