  • On this week's episode of The Breakdown, brought to you by Sky Bet, we took a closer look at Arne Slot and whether or not he’s good enough to take charge of Liverpool next season.
Do you think Arne Slot could be the man to follow on from Jurgen Klopp’s success or do you believe this will be too big of a jump for the Dutchman?

You'd think Carra would understand how completely contradictory his statement here is. He says "the manager not only has to galvanise the players but also the fans, they need that connection." Then he goes on to talk about Tuchel🤔. Surely as a Liverpool legend he knows full well that connection would NEVER be there since he's managed Chelsea.
This is the whole reason no manager can ever really be successful at Liverpool if they've come from a close rival beforehand. He's used goods. Liverpool need someone who's OURS. Someone who's come in from abroad or never coached at a rival. It just doesn't work otherwise. The connection just isn't there.

Klopp should have won more during his tenure if he was financially backed by ownership. FSG will only ‘spend big’ after offsetting that expenditure with sales.
Without the sale of Sterling, there’d be no Firmino for Liverpool.
Without the sale of Coutinho, they’d be no van Dijk at Liverpool.
FSG rank 19th (out of 20) in the EPL for net owner funding. If this continues, Slot isn’t winning anything significant with Liverpool.

Hes a Pound land Ten Hag in the Dutch leage. At Feyenoord he never managed to beat Ten Hag, couldn't win the dutch league until Ten Hag Left it.
Plays a more defensive game compared to Klop.
You can overhype Slot as much as you like but stats are stats and dutch managers never do well in the prem.

And its true that It's all good in the Dutch league but it's a different story in the premier league, tell me 1 dutch manager with dutch tactics that have won the Prem??.. I'll wait!!...if not..then shut up.

@@maydaygoingdown5602 dutch tactics? Wtf are you on about? Ten hagg needed a generational team to reach a semi final which he never did again after his team broke up. Post that season ten hag had been mid at best. Arne slot on the other hand reached a european final and semi final back to back. Thats quality. Anyone can win with ajax in the eredivisie.
