#Liverpool #LFC - Sport
On Joe Gomez, I genuinely believe he's good enough to play every week. It's no coincidence that whenever he plays we never capitulate. Slot may go for a more solid fullback, who knows. Joe is without doubt one of the best defenders in the league when he's in form.
We've never been as solid as we were with him and Virg that year.
It appears that Kossonou (CB Bayer Leverkusen), Kudus (West Ham), Bakayoko (PSV) are 3 targeted signings of Slot. In Slot's preferred style of play key positions include GK, CB, CM, LA and RA. Goals need to come from all except from the GK.
Knowing that Slot favorite formation is 4-2-3-1 this is my wild guess:
- I expect Nunez to be the CA sub and Salah to be the new CA. Jiota will be another CA sub;
- Mac Allister to be the new #10 feeding Salah. Szoboszlai is his sub;
- As LA the competition could be between Gakpo and Diaz;
- As RA the new signings Kudus and Bakayoko could be there;
- Endo and Trent-Alexander with Jones, Elliott and Gravenberch as their subs;
- Virgil can pick between Quansah, Konaté or Kossonou;
- Bradley is the #1 choice As RB;
- Robertson is the #1 choice As LB.
I donât want Mo to leave on a free, and based on his performances I donât think he should get a pay rise⊠but I would be over the moon if he extended and stayed until he retired. Heâs a legend at LFC and his experience, professionalism, and attitude will only help the club for however long he stays
We have to trust in Edwards that they know what they are doing. Let us look ahead not back because we were blessed to had Klopp for so long and I look forward for next season đ
One thing that bugs me is that FSG definitely got Slot because he can win things against the odds. It would be f*cking wonderful to just be on a level playing field for once instead of being handicapped financially.
There's absolutely no reason why we can't compete financially with United, Arsenal, Chelsea etc. Just ONCE can we not just be the club that gets the BEST in the world rather than the 3rd, 4th or 5th best.
Van Dijk, Alisson...
I get where you're coming from but we have got the best before, it should just be more frequently given what our revenue is and our goals are
@@darthpepe2994 those are anecdotes in a massive list of being second best.
Alonso manager wise. He'll go to Madrid obviously but it frustrates me we can't compete. He's the best up and coming coach right now by a country mile, and we will never get him. Why?? Because we've got 2nd or 3rd best.
Bellingham, Tchouameni, Mbappe, Halaand, Caicedo, Gvardiol, Enzo Fernandez, and the list goes on. We're always 2nd best.
That isn't even starting on the lack.of playing squad investment. Yes, we've reinvested, but the board haven't invested. Other teams can invest without selling and it's a major handicap for our managers. This is why they look for people like Klopp or Slot. People who can pull the best out of players.
@@darthpepe2994 Declan rice is another.
@@stuart_edward But it has not even been a matter of not getting the best. IMNSHO this season Liverpool fell short for lack of one more good forward and one more good midfielder in the rotation. We did not even need anyone amazing -- someone at the level of Gakpo or Elliot would have been sufficient. We had a few too many games where Szobo or Macca or Endo just looked a bit too tired in the legs.
@@ComradeOgilvy1984 but it is though. Do you honestly think that if we had bought Rice like arsenal did, that we'd have finished the season like we did? I love Endo, but we got a 31 year old dm from stuttgart, Arsenal got the best on the market.
Do you think if we had Halaand, bearing in mind Liverpool created and missed the most big chances of ALL teams... Do you think Halaand would have missed all those chances? It's 100% about getting the best players. At that level, the small margins make all the difference.
Good grief nobody has died, we have been here before when Shankly Paisley and king Kenny left. Klopp was
Great but all good things come to an end. New manager new era let's get behind Arne Slot and in ten years time we could be mourning his leaving.
We have a good team, full of young talents. All we need is good and strategic signings and the sky will be the limit. We need a proper, tried and tested DM, a very good CB, a play maker like Kudus and a forward to make our team complete. And with the right psyche and preparation we will do well next season.
Agreed. Endo is a true DM and our record with him is unbelievable. The wrong angle would be that we need to replace him. The right angle would be we need to ensure we never have to play without a true DM. Sign another and along with Endo we will be stout defensively again.
Liverpool should have signed Declan Rice. They would have won the League with him.
Agreed. The team as is was just short of what was needed to grind through the marathon 38 games and win the title. We had six fabulous midifielders, but Szobo, Macca, Endo had tired legs a few too many games this season. Not their fault -- just one more midfielder in the rotation would probably have been enough. And it was a risk to have only 5 forwards that did hurt us in a few matches. Liverpool also did the quad with 7 forwards, where Minamino and Origi did a fair share of minutes. A sixth forward would have helped.
We are not far off at all. A DM and another midfielder -- keep Bajcetic and Thiago goes away. One more forward. One more CB. Robbo/Tsimikas are fine for one more season at LB if Gomez is around to pick up slack. Trent/Bradly are great at RB if Gomez is around to pick up slack.
@@benjaminwilson8234 The right place to be is to have "two and one half" CDMs in + Endo + Macca. I want Bajcetic to slot, but he is not matured enough to count on.
Big up to the bold men I am one of those men lol , banging stream as always keep up the hard work you do love your channel YNWA
Fsg are good owners, but i wonder if Klopp had to push harder, whether he would get the bigger money signings. I mean...they bid 100m for Caicedo. That was wild.
The FSG haters need to give their heads a wobble. They saved this club from disaster, they have made the club self sustaining and profitable, they have bought on field success, they have rebuilt half the stadium, they have built the best training facilities in Europe âŠ. They have ensured that there will still be a LFC for generations to come. They have never taken a penny out of the club. Like it or not football is a business and like any business, it has to be ran in a responsible and fiscally competent manner without putting the business at risk. Be careful what you wish for because Billionaires are the same as everyone else, they donât like investing their money without knowing they will get a returnâŠ.. FSG are brilliant and responsible owners !
Then why didnât FSG sign Bellingham and Declan Rice? Why didnât they sign Haaland? Why settle on Nunez instead?
@@rainmaker4111 players can choose where they want to play
Suggest you check your facts , FSG have consistently taken money out of the club , all the money FSG have spent on the infrastructure has been via loans levied against LFC itself , we pay interest on that too, FSG have always used sales to buy , if we had decent owners we would have had better seasons with klopp now we have a poundland manager with a poundland budget from our poundland owners
@@rainmaker4111 because the club could not afford those purchases without putting its fiscal stability at risk ! Which is probably the same reason you ride a push bike as opposed to driving a Rolls Royce !âŠ.you canât afford it !
If money is that tight then Salah who is basically capital/a commodity, he should be told and sold. We didnt miss him when he went to AFCON and then out injured. Academy players get the praise for reaching the final. Letting him go on a free is really dumb buisness by Edward's, mr moneyball.
after watching Salah the last couple of months a change is needed, its time to refresh, sell to the highest bidder
I expect to see a few changes in personnel with the new manager. All changes of manager prompts player changes as different ideas are implemented.
Little talk so far on whether Slot can manage in the Premier League and the Champions League.
Ten Hag was successful by Ajax but don't forget, by Ajax play all the teams [from the kids of 7 until the first team] the same style 4-3-3, maybe with mini differences but every young player knows exactly what to do in every Ajax team.
so as coach you must only train and you can do nothing when it's go wrong.
[this year they had for the first time an coach from another country and another playstyle, they were last when he was sacked]
they get the best youngsters all over the Netherlands by the age off 12/13, almost all youngsters want to Ajax, only the youngsters in the Rotterdam [Feyenoord] and Eindhoven [PSV] neighborhood.
the youngsters off Ajax has the best name here.
Here in Europe we think that there are 3 or four favorites for the EC.
France, Portugal, England and Germany.
The love sound of Sabrinaâs voice. That accent is wonderful
Well I'd be somewhat concerned if they hired someone then DIDN'T back him...
Every game is joy or sad but that is a word says nothing forever but left memory for us to remember. Sometimes old left and new come to another chapter beginning again. We learn from every game to become a successful team like Liverpool
People are talking rubbish, 75m Vvd, 70m Diaz, 85m Nunez, 65m Macca 35m Salah, 79M Alison a workd record for a keeper before kepa,.30M Gakpo, 61M Keita, 25 million for a sickness like Thiago,35m Mane, 29M Bobby, all Klopps signings, whi.e the never breached ffp rules add into this a new training centre, the redevelopment of Melwood for the Ladies 300m p,us on Anfield extensions, FSG have been great owners
Well we sold a lot of players too. Gini Mane Coutinho all 3 midfield last season to name a few. But I do agree fsg even though they don't provide as much financially they have been a very consistent and constant owner, no sporadic decisions no over reaching letting the pros do the work
Bobby was signed by Rodgers
The issue is that we've been sustainable yes, but we aren't playing on a level playing field. The other top 6 clubs have all spent way more than us, most of them double the amount or more. We do deals like we're a small team, when in reality, we should be able to compete with City, Madrid, United, Chelsea etc for signings... but we can't. We're always getting the 2nd best player, not the best.
You're right people do complain too strongly about FSG when they have done good things, but don't go to the other extreme and pretend they're "great owners". They consistently make avoidable PR disasters (ÂŁ77 tickets, the Super League etc), it's taken them over a decade to build 2 stands and a training ground when Tottenham have managed a new training ground AND stadium in half that time, and the big one; their cheapskate spending on transfers. Your list looks impressive without context, with context however; we're about to overtake Man Utd on revenue, with a MUCH smaller wage bill... yet our net spend is not only 6th over the last decade, it's nearly half of Tottenham's net spend! They have been good owners, we have progressed significantly under them, but don't ignore that they have significant flaws too
So many of those figures are wrong btw
Makes no sense to give Slot a big budget... Why didn't they give Klopp a big budget then?
Salah needs to go, speed has gone, canât beat a man and on the decline. Cash in 100 mill in the coffers. Olise and ezza would be awesome additions up front. I would also sell jones donât think he is good enough, need a big strong midfielder preferably a cdm. Then add a centre half
Heard that Sporting Lisbon hade doubled the fee on Amorim, and LFC rightly walked away
Heard that before.
Looking forward to Tyler Morton coming back to the club for the upcoming season from his loan period at Hull
We didnt need big budget with klopp as the players we had wete mega on fire for seasons. So if they doing well fsg aint gonna offer money
Whatâs the difference between head coach and manager when it comes to football clubs?
Manager gets the final say when it comes to signing new players, head coach on the other hand, donât get a say in that. They just work with the players the club has.
Reports in Alexis Mac Allister's native Argentina suggest the 25-year-old midfielder has a ÂŁ60m release clause in his Liverpool contract
If itâs true maybe he wants out slot need to play him in his preferred position, Klopp did not
If that amount is correct what were the club thinking
He doesn't
Release clauses canât be activated until after at least three transfer windows so thatâs not happening. Heâll probably resign with us and get paid a lot more.
Slot should arrange to have a private one to one meeting with Klopp to get some more information on the players, including academy prospects.
They will? Then stop the nonsense and get Viktor Gyokeres from Sporting ASAP. We need goals.
By backing slot you mean he will get a tesco gift card and 2 weeks free lunch in the transfer market
The anfield capacity has has risen from just over 40 thousand to 61 thousand since 2016
Should've gone harder when we had Klopp. Too late now.
Salah has been very good for Liverpool he is a very good player come on salah signed 2 more years on top of the one he has left
JOE GOMEZ SHOULD STAY AS HES DONE A AMAZING JOB WHEN ROBBO AND TRENT AND BRADLEY BEING OUT HES A LONG SERVING PLAYER AND BE GIVING A NEW DEAL THAT GOES FOR TRENT NOT SO SURE WITH VVD AND SALAH BOTH SHOULD GO AND BRING IN NEW YOUNGER PLAYERS AND TURN THOSE PLAYERS INTO WORLD CLASS
The fact is FSG never put their own money into the club almost a decade now.
We will only have the money to spend if we sell someone first or FSG will loan us the money with low interest rate. This is what it means when FSG wants us to be âself-sustaint clubâ.
Iâll believe that when I see it
we'll see about the transfer budget
Haven't we heard all this before,FSG were going to back klopp in the midfield rebuild. I personally don't believe anything FSG says, we have never spent big before. We sell to rebuild, so I personally don't believe it.
They have been saying the Samething for year about Big the budget is going to be what makes this time different
I believe Salah feels he has unfinished business at Liverpool. He sets himself very high standards and nobody more than him will be disappointed with his stats last season.
Why didnât FSG back Klopp with a big budget? I HATE FSG. Any problems Iâm blaming them first.
They wonât back him properly, theyâll buy cheap alternatives, like Szobo instead of Bellingham. Thatâs what they do.
Maybe he didn't need or want one. You do know he had nothing to do with the financial side of things and had the final say on all transfers don't you? Do you honestly think he wasn't offered a more valuable and established left back option than Andy Robertson for example?
I canât believe your comment. Please go back to Liverpool 2010, before FSG bought the club, and the financial state of the club was close to ruins. The club was in administration near bankruptcy. Liverpool has one of the best owners in the world of football. Look at Anfield and compare to big spenders Man Utd and Chelsea and the state of their stadiums Old Trafford and Stamford Bridge, they are in a really poor state. Look at Liverpoolâ training ground. FSG have been fantastic owners.
â@@garyabblett3128Szobo was cheap? :))))
@@paungabriel9360 In todays money, and considering he's an international captain and only 22... and as the lad said we were looking at Bellingham... yeah, we got him VERY cheap.
Wait Craig, why donât you like VVD as captain?
Can't understand that one. He has been a great captain especially bringing along all the new young kids. Talks and walks like a leader.
AV heard it all b4 about big budgets
Its a travesty that Everton get penalised but City can put international pressure by waving large wods of cash . Isnt the waving of wods of cash why there are charges in the first place ?
Thiago and Matip are leaving..We need 2 or 3 new signings to strengthen the squad..Hopefully we can get new players in during June so they can get settled into the team quickly during pre season..Jurgen has left the club in a great place for Arne Slot...
Craig the only reason ,Nunez looked disinterested is he does not understand all the english ,that was spoken so did not react to anything but just joined in when every one reacted.
Heard it all before
Oh come on....Liverpool "only" spends 40 or 50 million for a player and Arsenal spends a 100? That might be true, but nevertheless, Arsenal almost got kicked out of the Champions League by PSV, and PSV never have spent more than 15 million for a player. And my club Feyenoord blew Lazio Roma of the pitch, while Lazio has 3x the salary budget of Feyenoord. The numbers don't always tell the whole story.
So supposly Chelsea have hijacked Koopmeiners deal and we now pursuing Kokcu of Benfica?
THE BRITISH GOVERMENT SHOULD NOT BE BLACKMAILED FROM THOSE INVOLVED IT WOULD BE A DISGRACED IF THE GOVERMENT ACCEPTED AND THE WHOLE COUNTRY IN FOOTBALL SHOULD BOYCOTT MAN CITY IN THE FUTURE
Did anyone else see Nunez antics yesterday? Refusing to applaud Klopp in the guard of honour and avoided him the whole time.
Zero respect for him after that. First, he disrespects the club, and now he disrespects the manager. He's a petulant little child and we don't need that at our club.
That is clearly what he's going to act like if he's left out next season.
Nunez, Olive, Essa, Jota, Gakpo would be an awesome front line to choose from. Give Macca new contract with big release clause. Sell Salah and jones and add centre back and cdm
no nunez please. sell him and buy Sesko from Leipzig
@@ThatsWhatSheSaid9492 Or Viktor Gyokeres from Sporting
Whoever they bring in, let's hope they don't bring any highly rated injury prone player who survives on weekly wages and a highly rated right back who has no pace & can't read the game well allowing left sided players from the opposing team to ghost past him.
My guess is all 3 (salah, vvd and trent) will leave.
FSG don't invest in buying players and making Liverpool average.we are lucky we won those cups with klopp jurgen without good budget.
I have little confidence in FSG back the new manager. They will be using all their financial powers to acquire sister clubs
From Klopp to Sl opp??
I think we have the money and we buy under 20 millions.
I will not believe anything until I see them spending money !!!
Yeah I bet they will
Same old "huge budget" fantasy. The FSG leopard has changed its spot. If you believe that I have a bridge for sale in London.
Craig would you swap Doku with Diaz?
Yakk . Disgusting.we don't need city players in order to win something.
Very sad Klopp is gone but let back the new man give him time
Backing slot ? Itâs more like backing Micheal Edwardâs we know he will be making the choices of who to sign
please stop hyping up Jones, he is a mediocre player who had flashes of brilliance last season. I would say the same about Elliott, but he shows way more promise. I'd sell Jones this summer if a good offer came in. he would be fantastic for a mid table club like Newcastle or Fulham or something like that.
all Hail lord Craig xxx
Craig mentioned twice that he has nothing to do with twitter. Either he is a knobhead for disregarding @AnfieldAgenda which seems very focused on his streams or Iâm the knobhead for following a fake twitter account
Anfield agenda is a collective effort and the twitter account is managed by his compatriots
How many times hav fsg tod us this believe it when i see top players coming in
I would like to keep Joe for one season , first penalty we get let him kick it and score , he deserve a goal đ
is it true pep is leveing man city
I think the kop needs a rebuild now something Dortmund stand
Huge Budget?? đđđđđđ
Sell Mo, buy 2-3 players with that money. Be smart ffs. And Darwin needs to go, he is disrespectful
Keep Trent and van Dijk sell Salah and get in Olise and kudus
Slot will be better than Klopp. Just wait and see
Suređ FSG big budget will $30 million IF they sell Salah.
I agree they just messed klopp about we have had some good managers with Bill shankley and Bob Paisley, but the top of the list is shankley and klopp, and then no 2 is paisley
Paisley managed for the same length of time as Klopp and his record is 3 or 4 times what Klopp's is... I'm sorry but your letting sentimentality and the raw emotion of the last couple of days cloud your judgement if you actually think Klopp ranks above Paisley.
@@darthpepe2994 I have seen all the managers including Shanks, it's Shankly, Paisley, Fagen, Dagleish and Klopp.
@@PatKennedydon I'd categorise rather than rank if I was to pick; Shanks and Paisley at the top, because it's legacy vs record between them two. Next I'd have Kenny and Klopp, because both built new sides and won things. I know many wouldn't feel comfortable with Fagan in 3rd as he was in charge for our best ever season, but he didn't build his own team, he basically rode Paisley's wave and only managed for a couple of years, that has to be taken into context too.
@@darthpepe2994 Maybe so, but Fagen won a treble that no other manager has ever achieved.
I don't think Klopp is the top 3 best Liverpool manager of all time. Maybe rank 4 or 5
Deal Alexander Arnold, sell salah/Nunez , keep Van dijk 1 more year.
Hoax
