From 12th to 6th .
With the most injuries .
With the youngest squad in the top 5 leagues.
Drew to treble winners home and away .
Drew to title contenders Arsenal and Lpool and beat Spurs home and away .
1 cup final .
1 cup semifinal .
Got a set of youngsters and turned them into a unified team.
Poch did well đ
Who took them to 12th

He left. they didn't sack him.
Chelsea should be on Netflix
why - which sad loser would want to watch that SHI* SHOW
Should be on fucking Comedy Central
Should be in vanaramha leaugue
@usmanilemona u wanna copy city huh?
Think Sunderland did it first so citeh copied the black cats
In this case Boehly is not to blame. There's a reason why Egbali, Stewart and Winstanley are prominently being mentioned in most reports whilst Boehly has remained silent. Boehly recently backed the team and Poch's performance as well as took him out for a personal dinner prior to all of this. Boehly may be the public face but there's too many decision makers behind the scenes and something worrying is clearly brewing. I'm gutted to think that we ousted Poch because of disputes in player sales and wanting to keep our academy players. That's crazy to think that's one aspect a manager should have the ultimate say in. He wasn't asking for more players but fighting to keep the ones that we have. He simply wanted more say in players which is a fair ask. Surely we should all have a say in what resources we have available in our jobs, same applies here. We've just pushed out a manager who was trying to uphold the club's culture. Strangely enough he was the one person who understood what Chelsea is and Roman's vision of having a brimming academy is finally being realised. The club has now embraced Reece James as the undisputed club captain (rightfully or wrongfully), we've put him front and centre of the team yet it was Poch's decision in the first place; now it seems as if it was always destined to be. Fans and pundits alike were pining for Silva or someone more experienced to be captain yet Poch understood the long term vision. He was trying to develop a homegrown/English-oriented captaincy and hierarchy within the squad with James, Chilwell, Gallagher, Colwill and Chalobah being the lynchpins. For years we were mocked for solely having continental players now we're sacking a manager for wanting to establish a fundamentally English core. He's given debuts to Alfie Gilchrist, Michael Golding, Alex Matos, Josh Acheampong and Leo Castledine, in his first season, more than any other previous manager, under arguably the most tumultuous conditions. What makes this all the more disappointing is that previous years under Roman we felt as if every sacking was ultimately in order to course-correct, in this case it seems as if we're just steering ourselves into uncharted waters with many fighting for the wheel. Poch knew the league and now knew his team, whoever we get would need another adjustment period. Plus even then, what guarantees would have that he won't be sacked for a above-average season? The entire team wanted the manager to stay. Even under the great Tuchel, Conte and Mourinho we had players fall out with them, not with Poch. This is the odd occasion in our history where the team had more faith in the manager than the board. If anything the player's opinion should matter most as they are the ones who work with him daily. Players can never truly buy into a manager's tactics now because their opinion is not valued by the higher-ups. Eventually the players will develop their own "player power mentality" since the managers will be an ever revolving door whilst they're the constants. Poch developed into a father figure for this young crop, helping them develop their games. That's what Fergie did all too well. He may not have been the "winning-mentality" manager we needed long term but he was the right coach for right now. The next manager will be likely be stoic and cold because he'll be fighting for his job from day-one, no patience for these young lads, he'll get frustrated and leave, then the cycle continues again. Just gutted.
Jheeze bro I had 30 markers shorter than this đ
30/30 đđ»
As a season ticket holder for 45 years, this is the worst decision I have ever seen. The last thing we need is more instability after finally getting some consistent results. I bet the sporting directors want a young manager, but only so they can influence him and have more control. Bloody mad.
Itâs not the worst decision
@@BushidoCodee itâs probably top 3 or top 5 though
Hiring him in the first place was the worst decision! Spurs reject managing chelsea. Haha, as a manager, what has he won?
@JohnSullivan bloody mad, certainly is!
Apt!!! they seem to be more interested in yes men and puppets to stroke their fragile egos.
Am not a Chelsea fan but finishing above United and getting Europa then getting sacked is peak
United the only team they finish above? Finishing 6th, 2 ahead of a injury stucked team with more injuries than any other team in Europe top 5 is the peak of Chelsea? Wow đđđ
Second in bundesliga and played champions league semi final still got sacked and what about poch?
Like United is the standard... đ
But everyone wanted him gone after arsenal and Liverpool cup final.
They haven't got Europa yet they need City to beat United to get it
Never a dull moment with this club
why
As a fan there seems to never be a bright moment
On the contrary I think playing meaningless matches in a third tier European competition and being the 5th best club in London are both VERY dull
journalist love Chelsea.
Remember the last time this happened? We went from Tuchel to Potter... The board haven't learned a thing from these last 2-3 years
American owners
I saw this coming. The way pochettino started talking about the owners towards the end said it all.
Could you send the link please
@@MohamedElouarda-qk6ws Listen to the last 3 or 4 press conferences Poch gave. He mentioned that the project wasn't what they had originally thought it was, when asked about upcoming transfers he said people needed to ask the sporting directors, not him, he also mentioned that he wanted some more experienced players (older), etc... This was all while they were winning/doing well =P
Poch leaving at this time was a bad timing. The players were now getting soacked with his Philosophy, His tactics displayed frequently and a new favourite position for Marc... Everything was gelling so well. The comeback against Forest was a big surprise to me and I felt we would be unstoppable next season under Poch after a full preseason. Sad to hear him leave but wish him all the best and whoever is appointed as his successor, him I wish well too.
Saw the news on a WhatsApp page but was waiting for you Fabrizio to confirm and you did.. I didn't even trust the club statement when the app gave me the notice but it is what it is.

The board is delusional. They want a manager to just coach the players and not butt in with player transfers
Poch managed to get along with DANIEL LEVY for few seasons before leaving Spurs. And just few weeks ago Palmer said the lads LOVE Poch and wanna FIGHT for him. Even such a likeable coach canât stay BEOYND 1 SEASON with THIS BOARD. We all do see WHO is the problem here.

Oh they better explain to the fans why this rash decision?...at least under Abramovich you knew he would replace manager with more experience. And the ROI is often trophies. Tuchel is available, Conte is available, Mourinho is available. When it's all said and done if the owners want long term success on the field they better get the right manager

â@@adhumon55Roman the Russian sacked managers that were better and that finished better than Poch. Being American has nothing to do with this
This might stunt the growth of some players like Palmer. Palmer grew bcos of Poch.
Tbh as Liverpool fan, Chelsea did well. To change almost all the players in one year and to finish in Europa is a big deal. Chelsea made 18 transfers in one year. Crazy
Who in the right mind would want to be the Chelsea manager!!!
Well if it's the Brighton manager relegated or 15th for sure mistake again but I hope it's tuchel

From a billion dollars to relegation is going to a fire documentary
Rational thinking says that if the board at Chelsea want a young coach who thinks the same way as they do then it would be immaterial which striker the new manager would want, because if they 'think the same' then the board might as well decide. If the board want striker A & their new manager wants striker B then that's not thinking the same way. Ergo the board will decide who the new striker will be ....
Underrated managerđą. Did well actually, but sacked!
Agree got Chelsea in Europe.
They want to sell most of Pochâs favourite players to balance the book. Cannot agree so he is leaving.
It's insane....how can you bring in a 17 yr old from Brazil, never tried or tested and sell a captain who has performed exceptional?? Now we barely have players who are more than 2 yrs at Chelsea. This is madness...these owners re truly clueless.
I like the ideas of the owners but itâs quite complicated to understand.. imagine if dortmund had kept all their young star players and then hired a coach like Alonso⊠It will be dangerous for other clubs if Chelsea can pull this off

lol Chelsea were contenders for the league next season up until this morning. This is wonderful theyâre going to sabotage their self every single time.
As a Chelsea fan for over a decade, I'm sad that Poch is leaving, but I think this just shows how fickle alot of the fans are, I can remember as recent as the Arsenal game, so many fans were calling for Poch's head. Everybody is annoyed because Chelsea won their last game, but had they ended the season on a loss, there would be a different mood to Poch leaving. As a fan I'm unhappy that Poch is leaving because he brought stability to the club which hasn't been there since mid 2022, but at the same time, games like the Arsenal game, Carabao Cup final, FA Cup semi final showed that maybe Poch is not the manager for big games. Whether thats more on the players or Poch only time will tell. Just my 2 cents.
