      No one stepped up but nate and that's the fight the fans wanted. Conor underestimated the weight and let nate fight at 170 because that's nates natural weight class for the weight cut. Conor gained weight to fight at 155 he barely walks around at 170. He fought at 145 three months ago. He's doing too much too fast. And don't forget how he was actually putting an asswhoopin on nate before tiring himself out. He had to go for a takedown because he couldn't even lift his hands to cover up. Let's see if nate can hang at 155. His body at that weight won't absorb Conor's shots. I promise you that.

      @kylereese4516 Před 8 lety +2

      +lasfinezt Incorrect. Connor and Nate's walking weight is about the same. (168) Nate cuts weight no difference than Conor. Weight did not factor in this fight whatsoever. If anything, Conor should be even more embarrassed that he got finished by a guy with NO training camp who got 10 days notice to fight. He couldn't even make it past the 2nd round. He didn't gas, he was getting served more combos than a fat guy at McDonald's. And when he couldn't eat anymore, he fell on the ground and choked on it. (Rear Naked)
      He got out-boxed, out-skilled, and out-gutted by the SUPERIOR martial artist. Man up and deal with it. Conor needs to do the same thing.

      True. Rousey took her arrogance and tough guy role to a whole different level. She was so caught up in the being the baddest bitch and saying no woman could beat her and being so disrespectful and arrogant to getting her ass kicked and she couldn't humble herself and accept humility. She just wanted to kill herself. I hope if she comes back she comes back with respect towards other fighters. I'd become a fan.

      @infamous1510 Před 3 lety +16

      ToxicWorld It’s a five round fight buddy. Every mma fighter knows this, Mcgregor knew he won enough rounds to win the fight. Mcgregor is the far more talented fighter, and he dropped him like 4 times in that fight and honestly if Nate didn’t have such good ground game he probably would’ve been finished. Mcgregor made sure to paste himself throughout the fight and he got the W. Also Nate was like 15-20 pounds heavier than Conor in that fight and was clearly the bigger man. So for Mcgregor to do what he did is amazing, since his natural weight class is 155

    • @dunn3055
      @dunn3055 Před 3 lety +12

      ToxicWorld ur a salty Nate Diaz fan and a casual. Conor outstruck in rounds 12 and 4 and almost 5. Just cuz Nate got a takedown with 3 seconds left in the 5th doesn’t mean he was gonna ko Conor. Shut up u casual. That’s why conor dropped ur boy 3 times in 1 round alone. Conor easily won 2nd fight. Should’ve been unanimous. Simple

    • @infamous1510
      @infamous1510 Před 3 lety +1

      ToxicWorld Honestly think conor would KO Nate now at 155. Don’t think Nates chin holds up at that weight class. He wouldn’t want to risk getting dropped another 4 or 5 times bc one of those shots will eventually put him away or give him even more brain damage

      @lasfinezt Před 8 lety

      I wouldn't say that. Diaz did catch him with a one two, but mcgregor recovered and punched himself into exhaustion. Then was too tired to keeps his hands up and went for the takedown, diaz locked in a guillotine, mcgregor defended by jumping to diazs right side. Diaz rolled him over into mount and threw strikes. Conor once again too drained to defend, gave him his back and Diaz took the choke.
      You have to watch the fight a few times. If you mean the ground strikes finished it then I get the point but Diaz does not have very heavy strikes, he's just pretty accurate.

    • @fractalspace1111

      lasfinezt I don't know when I was watching the fight I saw Diaz land those punches and Conor wasn't there for a good five seconds and if he hadn't been hit he definitely wouldn't have went for a takedown. Conor has good ground game from what I hear but obviously Nate Diaz is better on the ground. Also that punch Diaz landed while on top of McGregors back is what made Conor lay out and give his neck to Diaz. Conor tapped though and I can respect that over getting choked out completely.

But in that first round he was doing so well, moving in n out, keeping distance and countering very well. but it showed the power difference in weight class. Mcgregor beat diazs face badly but second round when mcgregor gets hit like 2-3 times he got buckled plus the weight increase also factors into stamina. Give mad props for doing this fight. I keep telling people name 5 fighters who moved up 30 pounds from their division to fight someone. Mcgregor walking weight is 170 but dont mean thats his weight class.

He even said after the fight he felt sorry for Aldo and went over to him once he was back on his feet and shook his hand. Just my opinion anyway, at least hes not making excuses like Ronda did and congratulated Diaz on his win. Even after victories he always mentions hes humble in defeat or victory. I think its classy for any fighter to congratulate their opponent when they lose, its easy to be bitter.

      @riseup609 Před 8 lety

      ***** Giving the middle finger to anyone after winning is not being humble in victory. But anyways, even if he is - for the most part - humble after victory, it doesn't last long. He's not humble before, during and even after the fight. He still occasionally trashes the opponents he already beat. In my opinion, you're either humble or you're not. You shouldn't get to pick and choose when you want to be humble and when you don't.

    • @UnifiedChamps
      @UnifiedChamps Před 8 lety

      RiseUp People judge him on the thrash talking he does to hype fights. Thats just him trying to generate controversy. Controversy makes cash at the end of the day. Just like Ali back in the day it worked wonders and its worked wonders for Conor, a lot of what hes says is just him being honest about how he feels. I have massive respect for anyone who speaks their mind and is honest. And you cant say people dont talk thrash about him anyway, last night was a perfect example, twitter exploding with Aldo calling him a pussy and Dos Anjos having a go at him. As Conor said at least he showed up in the octagon and not on twitter.

  • @perroconsombrerodetective

    This was the Conor i respected, only through accepting defeat was he able to come back and win the rematch in what, imo, was the greatest performance from a mixed martial artist ever. Not because he dominated, but because he overcame adversity like a true fighter.

    It's take balls for a fighter to admit that he "panicked." Most guys wouldn't admit that.
    As for the fight, McGregor has nothing to be ashamed of. He fought his off, busted Diaz up, but just didn't have an intelligent game plan. I really question his coach, honestly. A cursory glance over Nate Diaz's fights and record should've been enough to formulate a more intelligent game plan, even on short notice.
    Diaz has only been stopped once in 30 fights. That was at 155 via a high kick and corner stoppage. Trying to simply knock Diaz out should've been avoided.
    Nate, much like his brother, is extremely vulnerable to low kicks. RDA crippled him with low kicks in their fight, which left Diaz all but powerless. Why his coach didn't advise him to throw low kicks is baffling.
    The jab. McGregor doesn't have one. That has to change immediately.
    I'm not trying to say I know better. It's just frustrating to see a unique talent lose because of such a poor game plan. Maybe Greg Jackson can help.
