Nate is incredibly authentic. It's pretty cool to watch him in both interviews and in press conferences. He doesn't play into the hype. He keeps it to the ground. He's just a street-smart hard knocker, and doesn't try to be something he's not. Nothing gets to him. And that's his best weapon, psychologically. It's refreshing to watch.

Nate is actually very cool for being here; think about it, the Diaz's were NEVER meant to be a TV personality. Remember how hard it was for Nick to get in front of a huge conference with GSP and whatnot? He missed out on a lot of appearances.
I'm not even going to blame them, they're just nervous about looking dumb and they have a shit ton of pride about admitting to that. They're not literary geniuses or very articulate. But they're very genuine people.
Nate's always been as game as he could possibly be for the promotional side of UFC, as much as he possibly can. And that's why I always smile seeing him up there in these interviews and promotions.

The Diaz bros' will always be a sort of "people champ" fighters. Something about the boys from Stockton is sorta this generations "rocky" moments. A middle class guy who gets down and throws hands on the streets, makes something of himself by channeling his energy in the ring. I know a few people that have met him, and say he's one of the most humble easy-going guys.
That's why we love the Diaz brothers.
