@@ymcaseptember6089 he looks the same to me although in the last couple of years his face looked a little thicker but then thats probably because he did get a little thicker
Man, Nick came off very respectful here..not one single bashing words of his opponent cyborg!!! He seem to articulate more in this interview than other ones I've seen.. he does look around a lot just like his brother Nate as if someone is about to jump them from behind. Props to Ariel for letting him speak and not interrupting.... Ariel the goat of mma journalism/interview!!!!!!!
that dude right there, Nick Diaz, he is the reason i got into mma. he is all heart and dedication, yeah he can be an asshole at times but that is what makes him a true badass.
Damn nick be happy brother you just won! I can't wait to see you back this fall! Smoke weed everyday, u might got the better fighters in nor cal but you know the best weed is grown down here in la county homie
Actually, for a Nick Diaz interview, this is actually really good. He usually just gives 1 word answers. But he actually gave a bit more this time around. Listen guys, the guy is a fighter, not a theoretical physicist. Get off his back.
@danpats1 its called Diaz vs. Cyborg. It's about 11 or 12 minutes long. You can see in the final 20 seconds of round one he is limping and as he's moving to his corner, he is trying not to put weight on his right foot.
you know you know you know you know you know you know you know you know you know you know you know you know you know you know you know you know you know you know you know you know you know you know you know you know you know
@TheJASM4collection I know, i have it favorited. I looked again and I seriously dont see it, as the round ended he was actually bouncing around a little bit but no limping. you must be looking at faint subtleties, he didnt even wince at the kicks landed in the second round at all. a lot of people saying he doesn't check the leg kicks but he blocked a lot of them with his shin
he s an exceedingly talented fighter but quite pretentious and seemingly uneducated. i appreciate that he alway competes in mma to fight -not to score points or grapple for decisions. thanks for sharing these videos, cheers
Haters gon hate, but you can't deny that Nick is one of the few fighters with his own style. He's wrecking dudes. Mayhem already punked out in real life, he's just running his mouth on the internet.
@Danielson184 You do have a point about his wrestling, though. He needs to learn it, as well as checking kicks better, & not relying on boxing so much. He needs to mix it up more and he does have the talent to do so--he's just stuck on wanting to brawl it out all the time. That could eventually work against him as he may fail to adjust to a great wrestler or superior kick striker.
@jawkster Well said. This guy needs to GROW UP. What other professional athlete acts like this? MMA is still a growing sport, and Ariel is by far one of the best interviewers in sports. let alone MMA. Diaz, you don't want to give an interview - then don't. Perhaps that's why we don't see you in the UFC. "I'll fight anybody" . . . except Mayhem Miller.
jugdging by all the comments, i can understand why nate learned self defense...he was tired of being bullied for something he couldnt help...he may not be the best talker, but he's one hell of a fighter...
He didn't say that to her, he said it to people that were trash talking him in the crowd... Many people think he was talking to Cyborg's wife because it's been so misrepresented in the media! Poor Diaz gets a way worse rep than he deserves.
Man his videos are funny, he's socially very awkward, seems pretty cool, I hope he fights Mayhem, they'd really bring the spotlight to Strikeforce, nothing grabs attention like a real feud.
@piratebri no, actually he usually gives thousand word answers b/c he tends to ramble. Interviewers normally only get to ask him about 3 questions and he just runs with it.
him and his brother are great fighters! Think so highly of both of them. You can tell he HATES dealing with the interviews and the media and the whole idea of having to do a little dog and pony show. He would rather just fight and go home. To a degree I respect that but on the other hand its a business and to really be mentioned in the top tier fighters he needs to do his part. Perception is reality and unfortunately that means having to do the dog and pony show. Great fight Nick!!
The Diaz brothers attitude gets annoying at times, but I'm still a fan of them, Diaz did excellent in the fight on saturday, he took some hard leg kicks and still kept fighting and came out with the win. Dude is a warrior like him or not.
"You were talking to someone after the fight, on national tv, in front of MILLIONS of people, what was that about?" "Oh, that was just between me and him, no one else."
man i respect both the diaz bros. they arent the most articulate dudes but shit, they go in there and kick some ass and thats all that matters at the end of the day in the mma world. nicks the only reason to watch strikeforce lmfao
@vtguy429 Yup you have a good point. Diaz is fun to watch but he probably doesn't get past the UFC's top 10 WW's. I also really dont think he'll get past Daley but at least that's one we'll actually be able to watch soon.
@macylapy He'd sub Daley. Watch Daley's fight at Shark Fights 13, the guy he faced used great foot work to avoid the power. Nick's boxing is no joke so i think he'd probably avoid it too, take it to the ground somehow and gogoplata him like he did Gomi. (Of course he'd be high for it too)
I love going back and watching old nick Diaz interviews. The guy has never changed. He smiles more in front of a camera nowadays tho.
His face changed a lot
@@ymcaseptember6089 he looks the same to me although in the last couple of years his face looked a little thicker but then thats probably because he did get a little thicker
"I think there are just people out there who don't really like me very much" Nick is literally me
Man, Nick came off very respectful here..not one single bashing words of his opponent cyborg!!! 41 times Nick said " Ya Know " during this Interview.
Put u in front of an international stage and you'd probably soak ur fruit of the loom tighty whities
I love Nick and Nate. Theyre why I used to rock Metal Mullisha when I was a teenager. I have that same hoody.
Goat
It's not normal how much I like his face when he says 'i think there are just people out there that dont really like me very much'
I laugh hard when he did that. 😂that shit was subtly low key funny!!!
As a socal resident. Nick we gots love for ya.
"yeah, you know it feels better to win than lose you know " The man says some really deep shit
hahaa i love how he keeps lookin around.. and i love his pauses in between words
Such a man with words... Nick Diaz the wordsmith 😂
best interview EVER
ever interview with Nick is solid gold.
best fighter ever respect for live.
the ability of this man to keep focus in a fight is beyond me
LOL
that dude right there, Nick Diaz, he is the reason i got into mma. he is all heart and dedication, yeah he can be an asshole at times but that is what makes him a true badass.
11 years later, still true
Damn nick be happy brother you just won! I can't wait to see you back this fall! Smoke weed everyday, u might got the better fighters in nor cal but you know the best weed is grown down here in la county homie
"if feels alot better to win then to lose..u no.." LMAO i never woulda thought that

Your wish came true
Nick Diaz is a badass. Everyone stop hating on him,his brother, and his teammates if you don't like them then don't watch them.
that was a great fight to watch.
he's not much of a talker but one hell of a fighter.
haha "its just whatever man." gotta love this guy
Actually, for a Nick Diaz interview, this is actually really good. He usually just gives 1 word answers. But he actually gave a bit more this time around. Listen guys, the guy is a fighter, not a theoretical physicist. Get off his back.
lol i love these interviews
the norcal part where he's doing "i'm a little teapot" killed me
North Side!
I don't really care about North or South, but his little dance when he was saying Nor Cal was hilarious.
Im getting addicted to Nick Diaz interview
badass fighter
Well said Danielson. Finally someone who has got it right!!
this SoCal native LOVES the Diaz Bros!
@TheJASM4collection find the you tube vid and tell me the specific times which you are citing. i did see him wince a few times but no limping

"I don't know" and "whatever" was all I heard in this interview.
the dude is like rainman of mma..
Nicks a fucking! BADASS!!!
Haters gon hate, but you can't deny that Nick is one of the few fighters with his own style. He's wrecking dudes. Mayhem already punked out in real life, he's just running his mouth on the internet.
@CorvetteAustin24 im guessing your new to mma

All gangster bullshit aside I think Nick seems like a pretty chill guy
who he was shouting at after the fight?
Man his videos are funny, he's socially very awkward, seems pretty cool, I hope he fights Mayhem, they'd really bring the spotlight to Strikeforce, nothing grabs attention like a real feud.
So. Cal all day! nick diaz still a beast tho
wow, you can make a drinking game out of nick diaz' interviews. take a shot every time he says "umm" and "you know".
nick diaz is just so tough!
@NamChampskee You Know He Lives In Stockton Right???
Diaz brothers were and are fighters first!
Volume is fine hear.
@piratebri no, actually he usually gives thousand word answers b/c he tends to ramble. Interviewers normally only get to ask him about 3 questions and he just runs with it.

Nick Diaz loves Wrestlers ;)

If Nick Diaz is the champion in Strikeforce... CLEARLY Strikeforce needs to go scout some talent for the Welterweight division.
If he can't respect an interview with Ariel Helwani, don't see why I should respect him.
i dont think a lot of you guys realize hes stuck in a promotion that cant challenge him anymore, hes literally fighting for money at this point...
Atleast Nate looks at his interviewer sometimes.
"You were talking to someone after the fight, on national tv, in front of MILLIONS of people, what was that about?" "Oh, that was just between me and him, no one else."
He said "negativity", that's about as deep a word you're going to hear from Nick.
Ariel is the best at what he does.
@Shavangh He's not a dick. it's just he doesn't like interviews, but he does it bc it's part of the job. he's not a talker, he's a fighter.
man i respect both the diaz bros. they arent the most articulate dudes but shit, they go in there and kick some ass and thats all that matters at the end of the day in the mma world. nicks the only reason to watch strikeforce lmfao
Chronic.
"ya know"
nick diaz - "um im not to sure what to do with my hands here"
GSP would kick his ass. Wouldn't even be very competitive. They are on much different levels in the competition they each have to compete against.
@vtguy429 Yup you have a good point. Diaz is fun to watch but he probably doesn't get past the UFC's top 10 WW's. I also really dont think he'll get past Daley but at least that's one we'll actually be able to watch soon.
cyborg came out in the 1st round looking like shogun...then came out in the 2nd round looking like no gun...
(Of course he'd be high for it too)
Diaz was caught in the evolution chain.
@fenix9885 hes a fighter.. not a public speaker..
4:20 watch a slight smile appear when Ariel mentions Fernando was talking shit
space cadet off in the stars wow
DONT BE SCARED HOMIE!
Who gives a fuck how he does/doesn't talk. He gets paid to beat some ass in the Octagon and he is damn good at that.
Man i couldn't even watch this. 1 minute in and I'm done. No more interviews with Nick Diaz.
yes nick i know
like Nick or not, hes a real dude
Nick Diaz Post-Fight: 'I don't know it's just whatever man'
Were you there?
Typical Nick DIaz Interview:
Announcer: "Hello Nick-."
Nick: "You know, I don't know, you know --------- I don't know "
he twists around like pacino
someone count how many 'you know's he said in this video
