    I can finally respect Conor. He now knows humility and would love to see him do his talking in the cage and what kind of animal comes about after this defeat

  • @somethingcameinthemailtoda9170

    Respect to Conor for moving up 2 weight classes and respect to Diaz for prevailing. I see a lot of people saying McGregor got Rhonda Rousey'd but thats incorrect, Conor actually put up a fight and was humble and respectful in defeat. He gave Nate his time post interview and stuck around to give Nate his respect unlike Rousey.

      +Something came in the mail today +John Hepi It's insane - all his fans are now saying "oh he's so humble in defeat" - I wonder if he would have been as humble in victory (judging from most of his victories - no) because he sure as hell wasn't humble prior to the fight. It's kind of crazy that Conor's fans are praising his humbleness/respectfulness but ignore he had none prior to the fight & most likely wouldn't have had it if he had won. Call it trash talk or hyping the fight - doesn't excuse the way you behave. If you are going to conduct yourself like that be aware of the consequences & accept the fact that doing so is not respectful/humble.
      A truly humble man - is not just humble in defeat - he is humble in victory and more importantly humble before fights - I don't think Conor fits that description.

    I respect Conor more for his handling of his loss this way. This is what makes him a great fighter...his humility. This is how he will stay on top because of this interview right here! This is the moment Conor becomes a legend. No bullshit excuses, no cocky comments, he just humbly expressed disappointment in his OWN game. He didn't talk shit or say Nate got lucky, he took his hat off to the man for being durable and tough. That's a true martial artist, accept victory or defeat humbly, learn from your experience, be honest in your self assessment, and look to improve. Conor just made himself a better fighter with this loss. My respect for him just went through the roof. And hats off to Nate...tough motherfucker and BJJ beast! Great fight. First time I'd seen Nate back up so much. I bet Conor adds marathon style training to his regimine after this.

      ***** Done? No chin? Did you watch the fight? I don't see Frankie destroying him by any stretch. He got submitted not KO'd. When was the last time Frankie won by submission? He's NO where near as good as Nate is on the ground. I don't think he can take Conor's power the way Diaz did. Frankie's durable yes, but not stun proof or un-KO-able so...we'll see. I do agree Frankie should get the next fight but I've got a weird feeling their going to give Aldo the rematch now.

    • @bizmonkey007
      @bizmonkey007 Před 8 lety

      Let's be honest--McGregor's only being humble now because he lost.There's nothing wrong with that. He needed this ass whooping to put things in perspective. His arrogance, downright hubris, blinded him before. He never thought his power would fail him and when it did, he was lost. There's a reason Catchweights exist. If this fight were at a Catchweight of 160 (Boxing's Middleweight limit), McGregor could've stood a better chance or even stopped Diaz.
      McGregor is still the same unique fighter. He has charisma, brilliant talent, and has balls to spare. But brains and level-headed decisions need to be the ultimate guiding factors in his career from here on out. He needs to be properly managed and reined in.

      Who cares what he says? His opinion on those things doesn't/shouldn't matter to those he is talking about... if they have self awareness and self confidence. It's just hype and banter. It's how you make money. If I were in his position, no doubt I would do the same to provide the best for myself and my loved one's. Nate and Nick do it too, because they're smart.

Diaz is the better martial artist Conor McGregor was absolutely fucked as soon as it hit the ground and he turned into a panicked wrestling and Nate did what Nate does soak up the shots then turn up the heat and McGregor couldn't handle it. The punch that ended it was not a lucky punch tho, he timed it to perfection and if you're a true fight fan you got to appreciate that. I respect Conor. He tried to do it like no one else did it. That was his hustle to come in this game, take over, and get out quick. He took a risk doing it that manner but you cant hate on a man for hustling. Respect it we're all striving for one thing at the end of the day. Even if he walks around at 170 hes never fought at 170. And taking on one of the best welterweights at 170 was stupid on conors part. He thought he can go up quick, try to lay him out with a nice punch or kick and walk out. That was his game plan, he was clearly throwing rockets at daiz trying to hit him with everything he had. When his game plan of the one punch KO didnt work he'd already had exerted all of his enegry and had no plan B. He went into it risky. Nate diaz is solid as fuck he's got the jaw of a titan hes never been KOed by anyone (only tko by submission). Hes never been KOed by anyone at MIDDLEWEIGHT. Now here comes conor, a featherweight, thats never fought a middle weight before and he thinks he can lay him out and take that risk. Dumb on his part. He knew his only chance was to get that one punch KO and he knew he had to hit him with everything he had. He threw so many power shots you can see he wanted to finish it asap because if it went to the ground he knew he would be done especially at that weight class with a fighter like nate. Conor threw forceful powerful over hand lefts about a million times that missed. He was exhausted and he knew the only game plan he came in with failed. He took a risk to be notorious and in the process happened to lose. He took a risk in the way he promoted and advertising himself because he would get a lot of people to despise him and want to see him lose. But that was his way of getting money. And now he has to still go get his money any way he can. Whether its humbly or on the same persona he puts on for everyone. Can never hate on that. Real men respect any hustle cuz they know whats its like to be broke. He took that path and that showboating and paid for it. But he the thing he wanted and those were his checks. He sold himself so well that he made people forget reality and actually make them believe that he was going to win jumping up two weight classes so easily. He needed to act confident that was his persona. If his plan worked of landing that solid shot it would have propelled him to the highest level of notoriety that was his next step. Jumping up to fight Nate Diaz, now that was a mistake. But at the end of the day respect it.

    Although he lost, one can sense that Conor is a different kind of fighter. When people interview fighters after a fight, they can barely explain how the fight went. But Conor, like Dominic Cruz, has a very analytical mind and is very in tune during a fight. His mind works different. He was just physically not enough for guys above his weight class.

    I have to say I was impressed by Nate, I've seen a few of his fights but he outclassed Conor tonight. As far as Conor he definitely won the first round but he got too cocky in the second he was dropping his hands and hard no guard inviting Nate to hit him much like the Mendes fight, his shots were landing way to short and when Diaz rocked him conor had his hands by his sides and wasn't ready to guard against it. It reminds of anderson silva with the show boating but conor had only his self to blame as soon as the fight went to the ground Diaz's Jiu jitsu finished conor of with ease.

      @4LP3E Před 8 lety

      Mayeather a pussy and makes boxing boring, mcgregor hypes and the way he fights made the ufc popular than it ever was, same way muhammed ali and mike tyson. The only reason mayweather gets paycheck is cause they want him getting knocked out, respect still for being unbeaten but this is mma connor will murder him infact the whole featherweight will stop being bumny

    I'm a Conor fan now for sure. His ability to analyze his weaknesses in this fight makes him a real threat in the future. Nate could not do the same unfortunately which makes me wonder if there is a mental block between him and the belt. Stop playing victim...own your mistakes and you own your destiny. Very interesting to watch...

      @WikDgunner Před 8 lety

      his ground game isn't bad at all, people are just underestimating nates bjj skills, and his sizw he was too strong and heavy on the ground for conor

    • @WikDgunner
      @WikDgunner Před 8 lety

      +Jake Gary nate had gotten passed the guard he had full control, Nate was to heavy to shake off and shots we're too heavy to take, conor had two choices get KO'd by trying to get some sort of guard, or panic turn his back and hope for the best, that would never play well let alone vs a Gracie student. haha.

    • @danielgonzalez2042
      @danielgonzalez2042 Před 8 lety

      +Jake Gary I understand what you're saying. But Conor brought this on himself with his cockiness before the fight. I get it that trash talking is part of the game. And so are the consequences when the walk doesn't match with the talk. Just sayin'

    • @WikDgunner
      @WikDgunner Před 8 lety

      +Jake Gary UFC has reached a weird point where it grew because of publicity, people like Ronda and conor become these fighters who are unbeatable and just like Floyd everyone will buy the fight hoping you lose because you are a cocky fuck in their eyes, its the way conor, Ronda and Floyd made a living and the negative side is if you lose you are fucked, I'm a fan of all 3, unlike Ronda and Floyd conor didn't cherry pick fights, being my favorite fighter I still won Money on better for Diaz because conor went over his head underestimated the divisions and wanted to a challenge I respect him for it, but the fans who are new and just hop on bandwagons will feel glorious when they call conor names on Twitter, I'm glad he dealt with it better than Ronda. the way I saw it was conor could get in get out all fight and win by decision, but there was no way in hell he was going to KO Diaz (people his own size can't KO him) and there was no way in hell he would submit him. Bad fight to take on but respect for taking it.
