Three Chain Links - soundcloud.com/beardmont - I'm convinced that this guy creates some of the best synth music on the internet, and it's really a shame that he doesn't have a bigger following. Links' song "All We Ever See Of Stars" in particular is just incredible, but don't stop looking there- there are so many that are similar in quality. Links does a great job making music that sounds like it's ripped straight from 30 years ago. Thanks for creating it all, and for releasing it with a creative commons license no less!

At this moment I realized how broken the game is.

Honestly I wouldn’t have it any other way. It’s like another tier of mastery with the game. Most of the community today is understanding enough to not do this in an online race so the game isn’t really abused. Bugs and glitches such as these that add another layer to the game that aren’t cheap are what give games personality and keep them relevant for years to come

Anyone coming back to this after the Rainbow Road glitch was successfully pulled off?
I find Mario Kart Wii's glitches and shortcuts like these to be absolutely fascinating to me. As a kid, I'd watch Mario Kart Wii glitch videos and learn how to do most of them. I was never a speed runner, they were just fun to do; especially with my siblings. I loved going out of bounds in courses (Maple Treeway and Coconut Mall being my favourite) and exploring areas of race tracks that were never meant to be driven on.
It's such a shame Mario Kart 8 doesn't have any out of bounds glitches like MKWii does. Well of course, the fact that there's no glitches is generally a good thing, but I just miss pulling off crazy glitches and tricks. I was pretty disappointed when I found out that you can't even go backwards or Lakitu will place you back on course. I just wanted to explore Toad Harbour 😔

For sure seems like it. I played some Mario Kart Deluxe recently, but this and the Mario Kart N64 video seem to show so much more heart and effort (and skill) by their respective gaming/speedrunning communities.
