Also, there is a section that youtube muted because i was using background music that was unfortunately copyrighted so i do apologize for the muted section.

    lost the audio at 18 min mark. Edit the volume came back at the 21 min mark.
    Also need to say this is the best video I have seen yet on how to do spark plugs and wires for this type of vehicle. I have a 2002 Mazda B3000 V6 and this is the same set up. That back passenger side plug is a bugger to get in and out. Thank you for taking the time to show all the steps needed to change the plugs and wires.

    So I recently just changed spark plugs and wired on a 2004 3.0 ranger as well after running car, car started to run very bad and started shaking hard. And while giving it taps on accelerator make a clinking noise. We did pressure tests for fuel and make sure no valves were stuck open and backfiring. What can be the cause ?? HELP

      @EddiesCustomsandRestorations  Před 2 lety

      Clicking noise how? Can you give me more details as to how the clicking sounds or where it comes from. The area it comes from more less

    • @Antsthetic
      @Antsthetic Před 2 lety

      @@EddiesCustomsandRestorations i couldn’t figure out the clinking noise due to me only hearing it going up to 40mph. But while it was in park and would give it some gas taps it would sound like a intake valve was stuck and would backfire. Bank 2 was running lean after the plugs were changed and we got some motor craft after and ran a little better. We changed the wires and coilpack and ran smoother but would still shake while in idle as if there were a misfire still.

    • @EddiesCustomsandRestorations
      @EddiesCustomsandRestorations  Před 2 lety

      @@Antsthetic a very badly collapsed lifter could be the cause or even a broken or loose rocker arm. See other videos on CZcams of these type of problems to compare the sounds and see if they sound like yours. Otherwise, without personally seeing it, thats my best guess. And to see if the lifter is collapsed, loose or broken rocker arm you would have to remove the valve cover to expose the rocker arms and inspect them that way.

    Hello I hope you're doing well so I bought a 2002mazda b3000 3.0L I change the spark plugs and wires i crossed them wires wrong now it start sounds dead what could happen what part could be broken after

    • @EddiesCustomsandRestorations
      @EddiesCustomsandRestorations  Před 3 lety +1

      Since the wires were crossed it may have backfired several times. And could have potentially damaged an intake component like the Mass air flow sensor for instance. But normally you should just be able to flip the wires correctly and vehicle should run just fine.

      @@franciscochavez5995 oh then that means its gonna start to stick on you again more than likely. Also check the connections on the starter and make sure the solenoid post isnt broken. Ive seen those 2 problems where a one of the wires gets loose and when you hit it, the wire makes contact. If everything is good and tight then the starter is just starting to go bad already and i recommend you change it soon. It will leave you stranded at the worse time. Hitting it will work for a while but eventually it wont.

    Ford uses a Waste Spark system, there are only 3 Coils in the Coil pack, each coil sparks TWO spark plugs at the same time.
    1 5
    2 6
    3 4
    Are the match pairs that spark at the same time, their pistons are both at TDC at the same time, one on exhaust stroke the other on compression stroke.
    The spark happening on exhaust stroke is "wasted" so hence the name Waste Spark system
    To fire two spark plugs from one coil they need to be wired in Series, so.............
    One spark plug sparks from center to tip, normal spark
    The other sparks from tip to center, reverse spark
    This is why there are two spark plugs listed, one has platinum tip and the other a platinum center, so both are single platinum but reversed coatings
    This saved thousands of dollars when installing millions of spark plugs
    Double platinum is what you want to use if only buying 6
    Or regular copper, not single platinum or one bank will wear out the same as regular copper.
    Not sure of current spark plug number for the 3.0l Vulcan
    The AGSF12PP was discontinued, the AGSF22PP was speced but I think it was too hot for the 3.0l, made it "pingy" for some users
    Autolite used to make the Motorcraft brand with Ford Specs, but Autolite was sold and I think Ford contracted NGK to make Motorcraft brand now but not sure
