- It's not as easy to say no to House as people think. Cameron takes on Cuddy's responsibilities for a day and she may be a little too okay with House's requests.

From Season 5 Episode 13 ''Big Baby'': When Cuddy (Lisa Edelstein) decides to spend more time caring for her baby, she hands some of her day-to-day responsibilities to Cameron (Jennifer Morrison). One of them is supervising House (Hugh Laurie), whose patient is a very nice special-education teacher who collapsed in class. House doesn't think that her niceness is a good thing.

Cameron was an excellent Cuddy. Should've become part of her character arc.
No Forman was the best
Nah Cameron being in charge would have been great. The drama it would have caused especially with Chase as her ex and employee. What a missed opportunity.
@@layzboi2250lmao that would have been funny as hell. Cameron and Chase both on each other’s neck all the time
@@MarianaRamirezLechugaWould’ve mirrored House and Cuddy wonderfully
SAY THAT!
I love these kinds of clips, because other than just being a recap of an episode, it shows us the literal point of view from another character. Cameron hands off a case to House and then stops thinking about it because she needs to delegate brain power to her other duties; and then this maniac doctor just barges in, spouts some medical mumbo jumbo and in 5 seconds you gotta unravel what he's talking about and make a decision, it really illustrates the chaos of Cuddys job, without even involving Cuddy
Yes!!
"You brought me 3 dead bugs and a runny nose!" 😅
Cameron: She's incredible.
Cuddy: Thank you.
*Bechdel test passed*
Talks about House. Bechdel failed
@@djoakeydoakey1076 That's a different conversation, they change the subject lol
whats that
@shashanksam a test for pieces of media that includes the two following criteria.
- does the story have 2 or more female characters?
and
- do they speak to each other (about something other than a man)?
I love how though out the episode, House never says anything bad about the special ed kids, another reason to show House has more compassion towards kids
Whom ever is uploading these, chef's kiss.
2:10 - was not prepared for the beauty of Ms Wilde
wild
Then you weren't watching before because jmo is SMOKING
Seems so long ago that Hollywood writers actually wrote compelling characters you could become invested in.
it's the 2015 era
things like daredevil and house and others were at peak
Wonder if the whole "asking for something really crazy so they'll say no only they say yes," thing is a cheeky reference to how Hugh Laurie became the one of the highest paid actors on TV for this show, or just a funny coincidence.
elaborate?
@@danieldeanhodgeyeah, what is this regarding?
He asked for an absurd money to stay into the show just to bargain a slightly above pay but they did accepted the crazy amount no questions asked
Where do find these things out?
@@kathleenvalentine5864 You need IMDB-professional to see what actors got paid for roles.
Ironically, if Cameron had been more like House she'd have been a better Cuddy. The piece of House's mindset that Cameron was missing was "good things usually happen, bad things sometimes happen": a process that usually produces good results can still be a good process even if sometimes it produces bad results, so long as the process produces more good results than other processes.
House wants an insanely invasive and probably harmful procedure but has no evidence for why it's necessary -> Cuddy demands SOMETHING concrete before okaying it -> House looks harder, finds something that allows Cuddy to okay the procedure
That's a good process. It usually produces good results, and sometimes produces bad results, but it's better than other processes. Cameron was unable to trust the process, because she couldn't handle the possibility of a patient dying due to a call she made. If she's a regular doctor, those kinds of decisions are above her paygrade (which is why Cuddy needs to okay them in the first place), but if she's Cuddy, then the buck stops with her. So she'll always say yes because if the patient dies then it's House's fault, but if she says no and House turns out to be right then it's her fault. She can't handle that, so she quits. Cuddy isn't exactly okay with a patient dying, but she also knows that House isn't always right and that he needs to be kept at least somewhat in check, and that if the patient dies because she said no then it's still House's fault for not finding better evidence. Good things usually happen, bad things sometimes happen.
She did ask for something concrete. House couldn't follow through and she still okayed it. That was her point on why she quit.
@@wolffang489 It's my point too. She didn't trust the process.
@@BravoDox if the process was House bringing her something and her approving it then the patient would have died.
@@wolffang489 Good things usually happen, bad things sometimes happen
This "process" involves human lives. It is not an industrial process dealing with inanimate stuff.
“House is insane”
Insanely smart
The irony is that Foreman ended up being the only one that could stand up to House which is why he eventually replaced Cuddy.
Why is that ironic?
Thats kind of the opposite of ironic, Cuddy stood up to him and put her foot down all the time so it makes complete sense to bring in the only other person there that would in that position
@@Slaeowulffor most of the series, Foreman was made to look like a possible successor to House. He led the department a couple of times and both House and Cuddy have referred to him as “House Lite” on a couple of occasions. Thing is, he was more like Cuddy than anything and Chase was more like House when it came to solving cases. He was trying to be House when he was really Cuddy… without the smoking hot body.
@@acnelson75So why is that ironic?
@@Slaeowulfbecause Cuddy is this shows antithesis to House. Whilst Foreman is built up to be his parallel, he ends up being a better warden for him than anyone else.
“Can I return my phone call now?”
“I don’t see how that’s going to be possible…”
😂
I've been watching clips from this channel for years and yet i still havent watched a full episode of this show 😂
you're missing out a lot of fun
You should try it, it's good.
Dear House video uploader, if I was your boss I would be getting Hugh Laurie himself to deliver you your bonus for the year
woah
Thank you for your hard work for a show that ended...quite a while ago!
Never seen this episode. It's hard to do admin and technical medicine at the same time.
Not even one still of the patient and yet full of interesting plot and character dilemma. I love this show
Thank you for these videos! ✨
House MD is my favourite medical serie.
This is why Foreman was such a good successor to Cuddy, he was combative with House, but never outright dismissed him.
Cuddy is insane to think she is the only one who can corale House. He’s a narcissist with very clear motives and plays the same games over and over and over. It doesn’t take a singular person in the medical world to understand that. 😂
I Love House M.D. ❤
This is the greatest TV show Ever!
I love this show so much
I love that the algorithim knows what I want when I sit down with a bowl of ice cream.
“Do not engage with House. Do not play his games.” Uh, good luck with that.
Cameron is a mini Cuddy in this episode!
She certainly looks good sitting on that couch.
A new season we can look out for👀
It had a great ending. I can't imagine they can come back from that without it feeling like Dexter
2:52 - did one of the Ramones cameo for cuddy, here?
There’s just no way that House doesn’t sleep with Cameron. I mean she basically throws herself at him and she’s smokin’ hot.
We never actually found out if they slept together after their date. Sad
1:36 HAHAHA
She had a weird arc in the show but I love her
"Can I return my phone call now?"
"... not sure how that's gonna be possible"
🫠
That line gets me EVERYTIME 😂😂😂😂
Cuddy just looks soooo tired
Cameron gets a lot of hate in the comments on these clips, but this is hands-down my favorite episode centering her. It really is an awesome job of giving her both depth and dignity, and I wish it'd been done more often.
the last scene is one of the few direct cameron-cuddy interactions in the whole show.
the entire episode is just such a unique gem. i generally prefer the first three seasons of the show, but this is one of my favorite episodes.
Cuddly is fit
Cuddy's wrong. There's also Foreman.
Dude I just searched for this!
why not the entire episode?
@@SaraMorgan-ym6uebecause the admin for this channel needs to stretch this channel for as long as possible.
@@yeetpotatoes69420 well yeah because House is a dead series and without House he has nothing for the channel to show so he shows clips of a great show because showing the full clips is out of his power to do so
Cameron just needed more practice
I wonder, what was this? Were they trying to see if people liked Cameron as the role for Cuddy? I don't understand why this happened in the terms of production.
If anything this episode serves to proove how wrong they were in doing the last season without Lisa Edelstein
Cuddy or Cameron... ahhh.
Who said that? Nobody…just bc I call him nobody doesn’t make me a racist😂
6.45 made me laugh
