This introduction video itself already cements him as a funny, calm, witty persona already. I miss his calm voice, and his dimple smile. He is the one who carry me for the whole quarantine years. Glad having him along with the T presidency, because if he can laugh at it, so can I.

When I saw him the first time around I thought it was so awkward and I was a little cringe averse. But now I watch the same episode and he clearly was knocking it out of the ballpark I don't know what I was thinking the first time around

I will always remember that quote that he said about "they shouldn't be building walls they should be building bridges" and I totally agree. If America is the standard you would want to spread something that connects everybody rather than tear them apart

I will say he actually successfully did that he made him not look like the old man just giving his inheritance to some random kid in Africa he did it very well I might add
Honestly, one of the reasons I liked Trevor so much was because he wasn't American. I am, but I'm neither Republican nor Democrat, agree with both on some things and disagree with both on some things. I loved how he was able to make fun of both parties the way he did. I think most Americans would have too hard of a time separating their own political views out to be able to pull off the balance Trevor did. And even when it was clear which way he leaned, it wasn't threatening because again, he wasn't American.
Trevor will be missed dearly.

Not sure how many Americans realize the number of South Africans, and Africans as a whole, tuned into this show as a result of Trevor hosting. Sure, a lot of us knew The Daily Show prior to that - but this show's global audience grew exponentially as a result of Trevor being the host. Can never understate that! 2M subscribers when he joined, 10M when he left.
